Sheridan scopes?

Let me first say I shot my first Sheridan sometime around 1974. First and only time. I remember wanting one, but at my young age they were out of reach. I got my first real airgun a couple of years later, a Crosman 760, but always remembered shooting that Sheridan.
Fast forward to a few days ago. Don't know what possessed me, but I got on Ebay and now have two Sheridans in route. Christmas gifts to myself! One is a 1971, and the other is a 1957-1960, not sure on the exact year from what I can tell. I intend to restore them to the factory glamour, as correct as possible. They do not
seem
to have barrel separation , and are in only fair condition. I am just enamored by these guns for some reason.
My question is, what types of vintage scopes are typically installed on these? I have old eyes now, and find open sights difficult at best. I would like to install a time correct scope if possible on one..possibly both. Ill probably have a host of other questions, so bear with me.

Sheridan made what was called an " Intermount " to mount Weaver B4 scopes with in the early years. Later they also used Weaver C4 scopes.

For a while, I used a Weaver B6 on my '67 Streak. Now it sports a Leupold 4x28. An advantage of an old, 3/4" scope is you can pump with your hand over it, let your fingers on the stock take the pressure.

I have a Sheridan catalog from what appears to be 1973 that lists the buyer's choice of either a Weaver D4 or a Bushnell 4X Custom scope as being available for the same price. The pictures of the Blue Streak shows a Weaver D4 in the second variation one piece bridge mount and the Bushnell in the third variation two piece mount. The picture of the mount shows the two piece with the statement: "This is the new, improved Intermount and Scope for Sheridan Pneumatic Rifles.....". Both pictures show the open rear sight in place with the mount replacing the hand guard.
The catalog included a flier announcing the left handed Sheridan and a dealer's price list marked " Effective January 2, 1973". The prices in the catalog and price list are identical and all three are stamped "John R. Lutes Co., Mfrs Rep. Box 433, Dowagiac, Mich. 49047 Phone 616-782-2913"

Thanks guys! I had no idea what types of scopes were used on these...I have seen the pictures though. Looks like the 1971 will be delivered today! Looks like the original
scope inter
mounts are hard to find, so may just use one from Mac 1. Ill put some non detergent 30 wt in it today..see if it will take a charge, after I give it a good look over.. Says it wont pump up in the ad.
Nice looking guns there by the way, and John, thanks for the detailed information. Much appreciated all!
