Slow site for posting this morning

Went to respond to a post just a few minutes ago, and the forum is responding really slowly. I finally gave up.

Looking at the home page, and scrolling down to see how many folks are online, I see way too many guests. That indicates the forum is getting hammered by bots. Better update your htaccess scripts to stop the bots or they'll bring the rest of the site to a crawl. I'd look at the actual list of ip addresses currently online, sort by IP Address, and you'll pretty quickly see patterns. Block the ones that aren't legit. Since I am not privy to the list of ip addresses, I can't help.
