Guys , I am a bit new to the forum and the sport. Can anyone fill me in as to what a 12 lands barrel or gun is? How can you tell if you are looking at one of these less desirable guns? I own a RWS 34 with to6 trigger and was thinking of picking up a RWS Feuerkraft from Air guns of A. Is that gun on that site new or a demo? Is anyone out there from the Houston Texas area that knows of a airgunners club in the area. Thanks , Daniel Hagman

I own a Classic T06 and also a 12 land T05. The 350 is a much harder rifle to shoot well to begin with. The 12 land barrels are outsourced versus the 8 land in your T06.

The 12 land barrels can shoot IF you get lucky, they are pellet picky, and if you get a bad one nobody from retail, the importer level, in the US market will make it right. The Diana CEO issued a letter on it but it is not honored in the US market.

If you buy one and its bad you are stuck with it....suddenly the great deal on price becomes money down the toilet. My advice avoid them save up abit more and get the T06 version when they come out. Until then enjoy your T06 Classic

Not to hijack your thread..but my buddy shoots a RWS 350 ProCompact & I'm looking at getting the RWS 350 Feurerkraft(iron sights) the Procompact is 42lb cocking (if I'm not mistaken) & the 350 Feurerkraft is 33lb cocking ? Whats the difference ?

no problem just trying to keep your air gunning fun. The Classic T06 you already have is a nice rifle. The 350s even when everything is good are more of a challenge to shoot well. With a questionable barrel it could turn into an exercise in frustration and turn you off to a good brand (Diana)

The compact has shorter barrel so less leverage to compress spring.....I would tell you the same wait for the T06 version the ones on markdown are hit and miss....if you get a miss its wasted money....if its your first springer the 350 can be too much while you are starting out to shoot it well.

So far this seems to be a good shooting gun. It is a son of a gun to break. I was looking at it last night and the length of the gun is all receiver. The thing as far as barrel does not have much barrel in length at all. If it shoots good out of the box does that mean that it passes the test on this barrel good barrel vs bad?

12 land barrel's are just fine. if it groups....well, it groups. it might take differnt pellets then an 8 land.

One of my clones (RAM) was very hard to break open. So I smoothed out the detent catch just a little with a fine file and put some moly on it. After time it became much easier to break free. You may want to look at that catch and see if you want to take it down just a micro bit.

I myself have no issues with the 12 land barrels, I have a rws 34 donning a 12 land barrel and she is stupid accurate, even more accurate than the 34 .177 with 8 lands.
Just have to find the most accurate pellet for that barrel.

Sure sounds like you beat the luck of the draw.....I would say its a shooter if it shot the first pellet you tried well. I'll bet that one will shot a number of pellets quite well maybe as many as the other barrels. You still need to find the pellets it like the best so it should only get better

Some of the 12 landers shoot great ...since it was a Demo I'll bet it was handselected out of a bunch off the shelf...to Demo for customers

....ina bit since its a good barrel I would pick up a tune kit *_* tame that shot cycle and your groups will shrink even more.

Threw soon Benjamin 10.5 HP at the thing today and it ate them up. As you know I had to re-sight but it was only the vertical.This thing will group even if your off. Gun is shooting great. Gun is still oiling the breach seal area. After resiting the scope this thing is a killer on both ends.This thing groups great even when off on scope alignment. Shot all 3 of my guns this afternoon and I hate to say this but the RWS right now is by far the most accurate of them all. It is the hardest to break and is like shooting a PB AT TIMES. RECOIL!! Got some RWS 8.5 domed to try tommow. Just thought the heavier ones would fit my backyard shooting.

I have found most of the Crosman/Benjamin pellets fit good and snug.....there can be alot of variation tin to tin so if this lot was bought local and at a good price I would head back and get a few more of the same lot.

What store sold the heavy HPs never found them locally here at all

BP Benjamin discovery 500 count. I think they were around $$16.00 They had some premiers crosmans in the same or near the same weight for arround $10.00. I have just not had any luck with there ammo inmy other guns

$16 a tin thats as high as the Euro pellets...actually abit higher,,,I thought you were one of the lucky ones who found a cheap locally available pellet thats shot well.

I only have two rifles both CZ made hammer forged barrels that seem to shoot anything well....every other rifle has a unique taste in pellets...there seem to be no real reason as some people use have the same model and theirs shoots the pellets that mine hates and vice versa.....think of it as treasure hunt

When you find a lot number that shoots well go back and buy a few of them

This gun groups better than any of my other guns.

great to hear sir! with a big lead chucker like her, the heavier the pellet the better. next time you order pellets try out some RWS "ultra" mags. their a wadcutter shape but are 10.2g. they work great in my 52(also a serious lead slinger) glad to hear your 12 land gun is just fine, most are...cheers Bart

Not really they charge a premium for being able to just walk in and get them off the shelf.....I would buy at least one more tin even at that price while they still have the same days production on the shelf

That's the problem!! That was the last tin. Just got done shooting that gun some more. One thing I am going to have to change is the butt pad. I guess I am just WUSS. That thing beats my shoulder up with the recoil. I lost a bunch of weight for health reasons and I don't have the meat on me like I did. Lost from 245# to 160# to beat diabetes. I have been able to keep it under control without melds for all most 2 years now and have maintained my weight at around 165# to 170# as well.
