My Father's day dinner was a can of Beefaroni and some pringles scarfed down between cars.
I ain't complaining. The only time I get to eat the good stuff is when the memsahib ain't around.

Beefaroni is one of those things I've never eaten but should try before it's too late. I sure do remember all the words to the song though.

Mornin y’all. I was at work at 0 dark thirty this a.m. got the ranger station up and running when about 0730 Glenda came in. So I called the boss and told him I was redundant and was taking a comp day. Since it’s pouring down rain he agreed. I’m home with the memsahib right now. We have to finish some of my brother’s personal affairs. I’m still hoping my shipment of pellets gets here from Hatsan and I’ve got to send a PMO to another member here in return for some more air guns.

Good morning, hot and sticky here on the gulf coast. Managed get most of mowing done. This morning it's slap stick removal. The pole hedge trimmer has been worth the expense. It's nice to trim stuff back and not run up and down a ladder all day or get covered up in falling stuff and biting bugs. Later on this mess will be chopped/shredded to start new compost pile. Hopefully the rain hold off till later this afternoon.

Kris so glad I got mine too. Makes cutting much easier than using a chain saw for sure. I need to use mine for the tree that fell on the fence. The neighbor got it but there are still limbs hanging over the fence above it that need trimming and that pole saw will be perfect for it.
Got a lot of weed eating done. Had an itch on my face and couldn't even lift my arm to scratch it my arms were so wore out. Gaining strength out of it though. Blew off the clippings and now it's time to mow if the yard isn't too wet.

Morning...
Got up with Boss an hour or so ago. She ate and we went outside. I sat on the front deck with my coffee while she made her rounds.
Today's plan is a bit sketchy. Someone years ago thought it was a good idea to set the 100 gal. propane tank directly on the ground. The copperhead snakes have found it a great cool spot to hang out and breed. There are 2 copper lines coming off of it on a tee. One feeds the house and the other feed my shop.
My plan is to raise it enough to set it on blocks. There is slack in the copper lines but I need to go slow so not to bend or kink them. It does have lifting hooks on both ends and I'm going to use an engine hoist to slowly lift it. Not much.. just a few inches enough to get blocks under it. Then I have some 1/4" expanded aluminum that I will fashion a skirt around the bottom to keep snakes and other critters from getting under it.

SUCCESS !!
I was able to raise the propane tank about 8" and the copper tubing had plenty of slack to not even come near stressing. I put a couple cinder blocks under it and set it down on them. I cleaned all the debris out from under it and scooped some gravel into the hole.
Nick was scrapping some 4" square tube weight lifting equipment so I snagged it up. I'm going to make a permanent frame out of it to support the tank. But for now it's up off the ground and stable.
No snakes were found or harmed during this process.... bummer.
I was hoping to dispatch a family.

I've got to go see the oncologist Dr this afternoon. I've got to get something to fix the cabinet shelf that my wife keeps knocking down. It doesn't help that the shelf is around 3/4 of an inch to short. There's a electrical line going to a outlet so instead of notching it it was cut to short. 🤬🤬

Nothing new; very humid, growing hotter daily.
After work, I may go run the frankenmower down in the woods. I line-trimmed about 3/4 acre but ran out of 40:1 premix. I have plenty of 50:1 so I may continue around stumps with a different line trimmer but I definitely have to mow. The field will be fine until later this week, and it honestly is too wet to bother running the field-mower. Speaking of stumps- the ground is soft enough I may do some adze-work to start removing stumps.
Sonja said she'll be doing a dump run shortly but that's about all the fancy news.

Line trimmer started running like dog doo so instead of me messing it up worse I just took it to the local Husqvarna dealer where I bought it. Keith has a pretty good service department. They'll have it running like new by tomorrow.

I went to work clearing another area then came in for a break and to cool off. As usual when I sit idle, I pondered the propane tank and came up with a better permanent rest for it. I used some red bricks and tubes from the weight lifting equipment.
Then I got things put away just before the skies opened and the rains came.
