Mornin y’all.  We lost power last night for about three hours.  Man it’s dark out here when the power goes out!  Back in the box today.  Nuthin much going on.  Expecting more thunder showers today so work should be mellow.

Good Morning! I got up at 5:05 this morning. I am going to work some more on the trailer rust abatement project before it gets too hot. It is supposed to be 91°F by 11:00 AM so I need to get started soon if I am going to get much done on it today.
 I am not going to push myself too hard in the heat. I'll quit for the day as soon as I feel like it is too hot for me to be out there. It is headed for 102°F today and I don't need a heat stroke or dehydration.

 I am sanding off down to clean looking steal, then using a rust conversion acid wash metal prep before I prime and paint it.

Gonna grab a bite of breakfast then load up the gator and go run some dirt roads. We'll check on Charles barn while we're out there. He's back in the hospital with some stomach issues. Told him we'd check on the farm. Maybe take an airgun or 2.

Same feeling humid heat here Kris. Wore me out wacking weeds and blowing them off. Really wanted a breeze but never showed up.

I almost thought I was going ot have to dig by hand, went to start it and no go, booster pack did the trick, that or the mini exc. was playing tricks on me.

Good to hear it Dan. What metal you repainting?

  It's a trailer frame on the utility trailer I am modifying to use as a motorcycle trailer. It is box and angle iron with steel fenders that had surface rust. I am sanding, and wire brushing it to get rid of all the rust and the treating it with Eastwood Fast 1-Step Etch Rust Remover and then priming and painting it.

 It's Dairy Month !!!!   
Friend stopped by yesterday for a visit, said he is helping serve Breakfast on the farm at a local large dairy today. No plans to go to a crouded farm, so we will do brunch at a local establishment.
 I may try to continue yesterdays projects, cleaning the garage, and or chipping brush for mulch.

Everytime our workplace has a party of some sort I would just grab some food and go out to where the trees are; good thing we have huge ones.

Recovering from an ultra shift at work.  64 hours in a 4 day work week.  40 of those hours were in a row starting this past Friday morning 0700.  It was gray and ugly out most of the day yesterday but today is amazing out!

Skipping Sunday school today.  Mrs. P has come down with a cold and I’m wiped from the work week so we are moving into today slowly.  Life has ended up bringing us to where Heather (our 20 yo daughter) is bringing her horse to the house so I, being the dad, get to rearrange our back field to get a building and a fence built to house this creature coming to stay with us.  I never wanted to be a horse dad and I reject the idea but I love my daughter and she loves the horse (Titus) so we now will be hosts for him.  Today I may go pick up the 20’x20’ metal carport that we will make into a little “horse barn”.  I also plan to get the tall grass knocked down, imagine the layout of the horse space, measure and mark the space and figure the materials list to get that stuff ordered and on the way.

Wow.   Horses are a lot of work.  A lot more work than having a kitten move in.   Hope you don't have to do the daily chores that come with horse ownership.  You sound like a great dad and your daughter will never forget what you are doing to help her out.     One little benefit, free horse manure for composting!
