Mornin y’all!  I slept last night!

I took an ancient Darvocet and it knocked me out for about five hours.  Still sleeping in the recliner because of my shoulder.  Back to work today.  Stuck in the ranger station again.  Last Saturday in the ranger station was just too much for me alone.  I’m going to have a word with the PM about getting me some relief on weekends.  Enjoying my new deck this morning just chilling and listening to the song birds.

Good Morning!  I slept last night too! Whatever I aggravated/inflamed in my back while mowing has gotten better to the point that I was able to sleep most of the time between 11:30 PM and 6:30 AM.

 I plan to just relax most of the day unless something comes up that I must do today.

Not much sleep last night.  Starting to feel like Groundhog Day around here.  I’m not to the tunnel vision stage yet but I am to the putting one foot in front of the other stage.  Right now I work a 48 hour six day week.  Three days on the late shift and three days on the early shift.  After a while it starts to get surreal.

I went to bed at 11 pm and slept until 2 am.
I sleep much better now than when I was younger.
I have had problems sleeping ever since my Army discharge.
I used to sleep 2 hours then up for 2 then down for 2... etc.
The VA has prescribed me Trazodone.
I took one and slept until 9 am.
Usually I am up at 5 am.

Just got back from the monthly bulk grocery run at Walmart. Probably make the run to the local grocer to pick up what we get there this afternoon.

Got groceries today too Bill. Thankfully they had most of what I needed. Still need to go elsewhere for some other items but it can wait.

As Chief Dan George said. “ Some days the magic works and some days it doesn’t”.

I quit trying to sleep about a quarter after four.  I decided that if I wasn’t sleeping I ought to be enjoying myself.  Now I’m sitting up on my deck with the NVD attached to the Flash-R and a 25.39gr JSB king up the spout.  Listening to the Chuck wills widows,  the southern leopard frogs, and traffic rolling down 319.

I’ve got a half a cigar smoldering to chase the skeeters off and a big glass of iced tea.  At 0745 I’ve got a physical therapy appointment and at 1230 my shift starts at work.  Until then I’m chilling on the gun deck.

Work on the van some, weather, health, and staying ahead of the jungle has been the culprit for the slow repair process. I am not taking it to repair shop, to much price for repair, wait time is infinite, and probably be half a--ed fixed. Not being stubborn just tired of dealing with stupidity.

Good Morning!
  I got to bed right after 1:00 AM and got up at 6:22 this morning, not bad!

  I have a trailer that I started modifying/converting it to a motorcycle hauler a couple of years ago then I have left it sit, "chasing squirrels" and such distractions. I had extend the front onto the tongue because the trailer was just 7'10"' long and I made it 9', and I had put new wires and tail lights on it.

  This week I have gotten back to it, I decided to use 3/4" CDX as the floor, I bought two sheets Monday and cut the pieces I needed to line up the edges with the frame rails. The metal frame has light surface rust so I am going to clean it up and get it painted before I mount the floor so it will look nicer.

  The trailer was abandoned on the property and has no identification numbers on it. I will be registering it as a home made trailer when I finish it. I still need to get a wheel chock and ramp for it. I am not in a rush to get it done but would like to just to have it done, instead of having a just left half way project.

Kris I heard that! I'm so glad I finally found a good mechanic after all the years of bad ones mercy. I still do what I can when I'm able though.

I'm having an absolutely miserable time packing up and pricing stuff for a gun show.   I really don't have my heart or much energy in this.  I'll be relieved to cut back my lifetime collection to a reasonable level.   I'll probably also bring some airguns that I don't shoot much.   Haven't had much luck selling them in the past but I like seeing them out of the safe.  Even if they're on a for sale table.

My day-job is approaching "quittin' time".  Sonja and I will be grabbing some petty cash and heading out to the Waynesboro area to pick up an old Mo-Chief field mower.  This is a nifty contraption- basically a bush-hog with a gas engine.  Not quite an ATV/UTV trail mower, and it apparently doesn't run at the moment. 

But I have several spare engines, both single- and twin-cylinder, as well as a couple spare riding mower gas tanks.  Intentions are to pull it behind a spare lawn tractor.

I've spent the last few weekends doing things for family, so it is nice getting back to our own back-burner projects.

Good morning, just usual going ons around here. Do some gardening, work on the van some, and build a bigger brooder box for the bumper crop of chicks that have hatched in last few weeks. Hatch rate is 1 to 3 every few days. This will replace the ones that have quit laying, died of old age or illness, and those that went MIA by predators.

Giant PITA cleaning pool after removing tarp. Should've been done in time it's taken me to only get halfway. Water is 84 degrees so will feel nice jumping in once clean. Sunny humid and miserably hot when no clouds or shade. Sombrero is nice but still hot despite soaked long sleeve shirt. Breeze feels great when finally blows by. Recouping in shade with lemonade on patio waiting on hoses to fill water level b4 finishing up with vacuuming pool.

My hat's off to those who can afford to pay pool guys to fuss n cuss with your pool instead of you. Sure was nice while it lasted.

It is partly cloudy and 60 F at my place.

I repaired things this morning... ie. fabricated, installed new brace supports on the wheel barrow & new pull rope plus tune up on the garden tiller.

I'll be doing more flower garden work this afternoon.

Yesterday I mowed the "back 40" and got a 1/2 ton of #73 Crushed Limestone.
Today is mowing the "front 40"... and shoveling out the Limestone into the pot holes in the driveway.
