Mornin y’all! No nuisance marsupials here!
Except for the Armadillos that is!
I’m off for the next four days and I’ll be spending the time relaxing and preparing the house for my post surgical convalescence.
Today we’ll start the relaxing part!

Morning..
Take it easy Carter, don't push it too much.
Been up for a couple hours.. had coffee and got my shower. Nobody else up yet but I think I hear Betty Lou stirring.
UPS is reporting that the NOE 217 30 FN/HP BBT 4 cav mold should be delivered today so the only plan I have right now is to fire up the Castin' Shack and drop some lead for the Pinty P-Force and test the results.
Meantime I might get out and work on the North shooting range some while I wait for that delivery.

I got up at 6:00 AM today!
I plan a normal do-nothin-relaxing Monday.
The weather forecast here is Sun and clouds mixed. High 62F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.
It is currently 43.3°F on my back deck and there is no wind yet.

Kris I dig it and am glad the pests don't.
Dan I don't have a tick problem thankfully anymore like I did over a decade back. I just have a problem with sucky spypoint waking me up at 5am telling me there's a hog in the yard when it's a stinkin' possum. Their critter recognition AI sux rotten eggs. The possums and other critters I see walking through nightly are attracted to a neighbor's big trash pile they refuse to do anything with. The joy of drugged up junkie neighbors wanting to save $ not paying a trash truck to carry it away weekly so they'll have more $ to blow on important things like drugs.
James congrats. Choot em!

Thanks Scott, just have to adapt and conquer and not get killed in the process. As for today, no pest in traps. Load feeders, plant fruit trees, laundry, drag(it's drivable) the van to a tree for a redneck frame alignment. All good this morning.

I climbed back in bed and wallered with the memsahib and Belle this a.m. Now we are contemplating cruising over to a local (only thirty miles away) buffet for brunch. After that I want to shop for a few viands to tempt my tummy whilst I'm laid up recovering from surgery. This afternoon I'll start rearranging my studio space so I can work one handed for a while.

Mornin' GTA..
Got up at 4 and made coffee. Put food in Boss's bowl and she got up to eat and go outside. Recently she has been going out, doing her business and coming right back in. This morning she walked the perimeter barking at the darkness like she did before. Instead of coming back up the ramp to come back in she climbed up the steps to the front deck wanting in. Then she went back in the bedroom barking at Betty Lou before I could stop her.
The plan today is to get in the Castin' Shack and pour a large run of slugs for the P-Force. It's a new mold and I want to build a good inventory of them. I did all the testing with them yesterday so I know where I need to be with them. That gun will shoot anything between 27gr - 28gr accurately within my 45yd shooting range. It will also shoot my cast 20 and 24gr pellets along with the JTS 18.1gr. All of them very accurately. I reckon it will shoot others I haven't tested in it yet.
But, the slugs will be my go to ammo for it.

Well I found out the people who got "rid" of the possum , just released it 1000 yards away in the north orchard LMBO, it was back the next day. Hope I get lucky and trap it again today. I told the others I will release it in Collins, we need some commotion in town

First batch of slugs is in the tumbler. Pot is refilled and coming back up to 700f. The plan is to run 4 or 5 batches of 100 or so. Sounds like alot but 100 slugs is only 25 pours from the 4 cav mold.
While the pot and mold oven was initially coming up to temp I did some clean up on the North shooting range. I plan on doing some more clean up, relocation and fresh paint on the steel blank targets.

Mornin y’all. Got the plumber coming this a.m. My septic lift pump isn’t working. We have two septic tanks and a truly Byzantine mare’s nest of lift stations, pipe, cess pits, manifolds, and drain fields.
I expect that either the float switch has worn out or the macerator is jammed. Nothing I can’t fix I just don’t want to.
I’m on vacation. I can pay somebody to deal with the poop.

Clasic right there, good luck James.
Good morning, the usual routine for the most part. Finish cleaning up around one shed and level the dirt out. Transplant some fruit trees before the rain gets here. Till up some new garden spots, tired mowing the tough spots and work on the van a little.

James.
About twenty years ago I was a ranger at Anastasia state park. I trapped an aggressive raccoon in the campground and transported it to Ft. Mose state park, about five miles away, where we relocated nuisance wildlife. A few weeks later I was accosted by a neighbor who lived near Ft Mose. They accused the park service of harboring nuisance critters and inflicting them on the neighborhood. Claimed “our” coons were tearing up their trash. I dissembled but I had to secretly admit that the fellow was right.

The plumber has come and gone. I was right. Worn out float switch. They’ll come back when they get the part. I bypassed the switch circuit and I can turn the pump on manually now. So when the toilet starts gurgling I just plug it in for ten minutes. I have to shut it off after ten minutes to keep the pump from burning out. Or we can just use the upstairs bathroom. It has its own septic tank and no lift pump. Now I have to think about digging up the pump myself. It will save me considerable gelt but I ain’t particularly able right now.

Worst words an adult man wants to hear, caught totally unaware, at 06:00 from his wife ... " Happy Anniversary!".
Yep, I spaced it.. no gift, no card, nothing...
25 years now married to the best thing that ever happened to me and I am sure there is a "milestone" gift in order. But dang.
So I delegated a 1/2 hour to sitting beside her reminiscing the good times and the bad before leaving for work.
All 4 daughters remembered and sent us text messages.
My favorite was from Daughter #2. She sent this pic taken several years ago with a heart warming message about me marrying her Mom.
She is a "step" but I have
never
referred to her as that... always "my Daughter"and after 15 years, out of the blue one day she started calling me "Dad"
Been "Dad" for a decade now
Yes we are all a "half a bubble off plumb"

James good luck getting that possum in a trap again but maybe they're stupid enough to do it I don't know.
Sam I got a toilet I'm not using now either that needs a replacement float but I don't like the low toilet so I'll replace it with a tallboy when I get the funds.
Scott congrats you're living the dream. Slightly off plumb ain't the worst. It's plumb off kilter you gotta worry about.

At 11:15 a big boomer sat me straight up in bed. Sounded like a bomb went off right on top of me. Shook the whole place. I felt Betty Lou stir as well. I got up to avoid wetting the bed then came out to listen as the storm moved on and the rolling thunder got farther and farther away.
The rain on the tin roof has all but stopped and I'm headed back to bed.
