Ninth day after knee surgery, get up, have coffee, do exercises, put on ice machine, put leg in cpm machine for two hours and then small break and basically start all over again. It's getting monotonous and boring but I gotta do it. I see the surgeon on Tuesday.

Morning... up at 3am again this morning.. had coffee and took care of Boss.
Betty Lou is up now and in the kitchen.
Nothing on the agenda for me today. I'm gonna have a look and see if it's dry enough to attempt to load the eXmark on the trailer and get it to Uncle Mike's place. After that I'll probably just mill around in the shop and let the secret squirrel take the reigns.

Have you seen Florida Bull Frogs FLock ?

Yes, jungle fowl are very resilient here in Florida if you have a large enough area to roam. Rural and urban are little more challenging for free range chickens. The chickens I have are all "mutts". I have bred my own for so long that they can survive the in the yard, don't get sick, and live a life of 6 to 8 years. I really don't loose that many to predators with the amount trapping and dog patrol I have. When I first started I was about to throw in the towel with them. I found hatching my own greatly reduced the chick mortality. Buying chicks from somewhere else you run the risk of them being stressed and sick during the transition. I keep the girls locked up and the boys will stay around the pens and in the yard. The roos are the only ones that roam the yard. If I have a good nature roo he gets the royal treatment and is kept for breeding purposes. It's things that I have learned over the years. I have about 50 to 70 birds at any given time. Anymore than that and the food bill gets pricey. You think air guns are addictive, chickens are worse. You really have to have a lot of will power not to expand.

Checked the temp a few minutes ago and it's 60 here so I drug my wife's flowers out of the garage. Suppose to only be 64 for a high but I'm sure it'll get warmer than that. Real windy. I've got to make a street sign to put down at the split. There was one there that a niebor made but it's gone 🤬🤬🤬🤬. Not sure why someone would take it down but it's the nature of the beast I guess.

 Hoosier Momma (AKA: The Gimp) is all excited to dress up "Formal" and has been primping all afternoon.
Daughter #4 just showed up with a curling iron to do her hair!!

Now I have to wear my "Monkey Suite"...
