Good morning, overcast and cold with the wind blowing. 2.7 inches of rain in the rain gauge from yesterday so that will help with the dry ground. Hopefully today I can get the van back together and move it so I can get the tractor out to replace the tire. Finally won the battle with the miss delivered mail so that mess is over with. Worked on the Urban, it need a new oring on the probe, the other one was pretty wore out. Empty the traps and place new bait in them. Right now let my feet warm up and fix me some breakfast and then feed the zoo.

Good morning.
After staying up late last night, I finally got out of bed at 6:23 AM. According to my smart watch, I managed to get 3 hours and 55 minutes of light sleep and 1 hour and 59 minutes of restful sleep. I don't feel like I got enough "restful" sleep to be fully rejuvenated. However, I don't believe the hot dogs I had late last night affected my sleep quality; it was just one of those nights where deep sleep didn't happen much.

 As I sit here, sipping my morning coffee, I am optimistic that I'll be fine and ready to tackle the day ahead.
 
 I plan to do more yardwork today. The temperature is already at a pleasant 47.1°F on my back deck, and it's predicted to rise to a awesome 78°F later in the day.   

 I am planning to make an effort to stay hydrated today too.

Found out the predinzone has fixed my liver and kidney functions.🎉🎉🎊 I can actually eat meat again!!! I can't wait until I don't have to take it anymore though. It makes me jittery like I've drank a whole pot of coffee along with being hungry and thirsty all of the time.

Bill, same here, totally vegged all day. Did get the new o ring on the Urban's probe, reset the traps, and fed the zoo. Just to cold with the wind blowing to do anything outside. I ache all over right now from being outside feeding the chickens. It wouldn't be so bad if the wind wasn't blowing a gale. The cold just cuts right through to the bone.

Today is a work day.  Snowing here, but then I think about the database I'll be converting- for Onondaga NY.  Yeah, my tiny bit of snow falling amidst mid-20s weather ain't ideal, but it sure beats what they have to deal with.

Sonja was thinking about taking the dogs for a walk but it is too cold for our Pug-Boston mix.  The pug part says "no problem" but he has Boston Terrier fur.  Plus he's ~ 16.  No need to make an old man have cold feet.  So she's hanging out on the couch with dogs and cats sipping on a fresh cuppa I brewed her when I woke up. 

Made me laugh.  I remembered our pug tearing through the snow in NY while the Boston's watched him through the sliding glass door.

Morning..
Been up since 3am.. was up a couple times through the night but I don't feel bad... just restless I guess.
Boss got up with me so I fed her and she went out to do her business. Now she's back in snore mode.
It's brisk one this morning with temps struggling to get out of the 20's. It's only supposed to get to 50 but no rain coming for the next few days.
I dragged a couple 5" branches of hardwood out of the woods across the road yesterday on the way back from the mailbox so I'll cut them up and burn them in the shop woodstove today. I got plenty of pine cut and split but pine burns too fast and don't make very good coals.
The weekend sales start today at the local grocer and Betty Lou has a list so we'll probably make that run sometime this morning.
When I get back I'll start preparing for the new gun coming next week. Round up a scope and rings, lay out some pellet samples and check the batteries on the chrono. I planned on doing that yesterday but I think my butt swelled up because I couldn't seem to get out of my recliner.

34° here with a wind chill of 24°and blowing a gale right now. Donation day for me so that will be my change of scenery for the day. Not much else the rest of the day. Do some light stuff over the weekend to keep from setting off more stiff body parts, this cold weather wreaks havoc on the arthritis.

Good Morning!
  Today began at precisely 5:23 AM. I found myself wide awake at 2:27 AM, but fortunately, I managed to drift back to a sleep.  My plans for today mirror those of yesterday.

  The weather continues to be outstanding, with yesterday's high reaching 77°F accompanied by a comfortable 14% humidity. Today promises to be just as delightful. We are enjoying a warming trend that is expected to continue until next Wednesday, with temperatures forecasted to peak at 89°F.

  I am looking forward to making the most of this beautiful day. The clear skies and perfect weather provide the ideal backdrop for a productive and enjoyable day ahead.

  Given the warmth and sunshine here now, I will have to keep my eyes peeled for those slithering creatures that are going to be out enjoying the weather as much as I do.

  To make it easy to spot them, I plan to finish removing any leaves, wood, or debris that might provide a cozy hiding spot for them. By keeping a cleaner, more open environment, it will be less inviting to these slithery guests, while also enhancing its overall appearance and providing a safer space for Hank and my wife and myself too.

  Although there are always snakes around, I want it to be easy to spot them when they come near. I intended to complete the cleanup during cold weather when snakes are inactive, but warm weather arrived too quickly.

 There is lots of vacant land around our property, as far as I am concerned the rattlesnakes can live there but the non-venomous snakes are welcome to stay.

Hey y'all.  It ain't mornin anymore but what the heck!  About 0500 Belle started growling and woke me up.  I called her and she immediately jumped in the bed and snuggled up against me.  Little girl had a bad dream! 

I had a staff affliction at 10:00 and I piloted boats after that.  Now I'm kicked back with a tot of grog and my pipe.  In a little while I plan to go visit my mom and see how her week long paddling trip to western Alabama went

Good that it worked. I took it recently for the rash that cat gave me a month back and steroid cream too where the rash is almost gone. Never had a rash that bad before mercy. A month of rubbing that cream 3 times a day gets old fast.

I started raising chickens in 2010, bought mostly unwanted chickens but that can come with some problems, sickness and disease from other flocks. I raise my own now and let the hens do all the brooding. I do have an incubator for emergencies. My first few years was a huge learning curve with them. Chicken feed is another factor, some brands the chickens will not eat or laying production is not up to speed. The cost of eggs and the condition of the store bought ones pushed me to raising them. They are food, fertilizer, weed and bug eaters, earthworm production around the pens, and entertainment.
