100 bucks! guess I wont be buying any Snap-On tools although I have one 1/4 inch Snap-On ratchet that's about 50 years old.  It's nice but  Harbor Freight is unfortunately a better deal for guys like me.  Most of my hand tools are around half a century old and will last me the rest of my life, probably.

When you make your living with your tools you get the best. Use a cheap tool and have it fail can potentially injure you causing you to lose income. As a home mechanic or craftsman cheaper tools are more than enough. I have to say I have bought a snap on tool within the last year even though I'm only a shade tree mechanic.

Forty years ago a buddy who was getting divorced asked if I would store his professional mechanic’s tools while he was couch surfing.  So I had the use of his rolling tool box full of Snap-On tools for about three months.  I figured out real quick which tools I really needed and went out and bought them.

Mawnin Y'all!  I slept in til 0900!  Now I'm enjoying a thick mug of cocoa with a shot of Uisge Baugh for character. 

More gardening today.  I finally got an appointment for surgery so I'm starting the preparation for my convalescence.  I've got three weeks to get everything ready.  If I do all the heavy cultivating and moving of pots now the memsahib can handle it from there alone. I'll be stove up til the end of April for sure.  Thinking about making a run to Lowes or Homeless Depot for more pots.

The vampire did a wonderful job of drawing the blood 😄. Hardly felt any thing and she used a normal needle not a butterfly needle.

I had a late night, so I ended up sleeping in until 5:30 this morning.

Our weather has been quite pleasant after the recent rains. The 10-day forecast predicts temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s for the next nine days, with a dip to 70°F on the tenth day. NICE!

I'll definitely be spending a lot of time outside! However, I'll be cautious with where I step! Yesterday, I killed a 12-inch baby rattlesnake in the flowerbed... It seems like spring is truly in the air here in So Cal!

Yep.. time to load the rat shot and shot guns. Gotta keep a closer eye on Boss this year. Her eye sight is failing and she's not as quick/agile as she was in years past but still thinks she's bullet proof. I really don't think she could survive another bite.

Bulk grocery shopping day in Troy today. Just waiting for BL to finish getting ready and make final adjustment to her list.
Rain has slowed and is supposed to clear out in the next hour or so... it will stay a bit chilly today.

Good morning, raining here now it should clear out later this afternoon. Do little house cleaning, pay some bills, and some cooking. Not much else with this yucky weather. Hopefully tomorrow get the van back together and move around where I can get the radiator frame straightened out enough to get everything lined up for replacement. The radiator, engine mount, head lights, and bumper are being replaced. The rest of the parts are maintenance items, might as well do it because I am not taken it apart again for a while.

Grocery run is done and groceries and in and put away. It actually wasn't that bad.. BL did her inventory this morning and we were in pretty good shape. A couple hundred bucks covered it.
I also stopped and sold a couple PB guns that laid around here unused which brought me the funds to cover the Pinty PForce gun and money left in the kitty. Maybe even enough for a slug mold for it.

Different definitely but more experienced??? I may have been more hydrated this time but who knows? I've got to see them once a week for the next 5 weeks.☹️

Today is a work day.  Snowing here, but then I think about the database I'll be converting- for Onondaga NY.  Yeah, my tiny bit of snow falling amidst mid-20s weather ain't ideal, but it sure beats what they have to deal with.

Sonja was thinking about taking the dogs for a walk but it is too cold for our Pug-Boston mix.  The pug part says "no problem" but he has Boston Terrier fur.  Plus he's ~ 16.  No need to make an old man have cold feet.  So she's hanging out on the couch with dogs and cats sipping on a fresh cuppa I brewed her when I woke up.
