Plans changed, I think we are leaving Tuesday morning now? We are planning around weather using (Drive Weather App) among other things...

 Monday we have another Red Flag high wind warning again. We are trying to time our leaving in the least winds through the desert, and to avoid snow along the way too.

Rolled out of the rack at 3am this morning.. reckon I was all done sleeping. I woke up 2 or 3 times during the night but I was able to get back to sleep.
Boss has developed this habit of waking us up at midnight wanting to go out. She walks the entire fence line barking and marking.
I haven't made my first coffee yet because I thought I might try to go back to bed... ain't happening.
Weather app says it's 24f out but the cams don't show any wind.
I don't have any specific plans for today.. just let the squirrel take the wheel.

Going to be chilly today, Here I'm looking at a high of 17°F and possibly single digits this evening... Could be worse though. Going to wrap up that 1322 project in the AM then tend to some odds & ends around the household. No school today, so the Misses is off and the kiddos are home. Not much happening, everyone caught that cold/flu(?) crud and figure best to not spread it around.

Good morning, 33° here with some warming up before the big cold blast. Most everything is covered or wrapped. Work on getting traps out, the chicken eaters are on the move. Clean up the shop a little and make room for a work bench to work on the air guns and cast pellets. Just hang around the house and stay off the roads for a minute.

 Good morning, 37°F here this morning.

 I have to get the new carburetor on my Honda 6500 generator this morning and get it adjusted to 60hrtz. I am going to wait until after 8:30 AM to start on it but can't wait for it to warm up much, because then it will be too windy (Winds NE at 25 to 35 mph, winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.)  I hope the forecast is overblown.

 It is times like these I really wish I had an indoor workspace to work on outdoor equipment. I will be working on it on our back deck that is on the south side of the house so that will keep some of the wind off me. I wish I had a exact duplicate carburetor to put on it but, the carburetor install will require I get a little creative with the linkage since the original carburetor is obsolete. The good news is the choke will be the tricky part but, the easier linkage to modify too.

 I am pretty sure they will shut off our power again today with the high wind forecast.

 If our plans don't change we will be leaving for Missouri at 2:00 AM tomorrow. (The wedding is Saturday)

 I just hope and pray our house/pet sitter has electricity most of the time while we are gone.

25 here this AM.  Cold and clear.  It’s our oldest daughter’s bday so we will be celebrating that all day.  The festivities start @ 1000.

First snowblower event of the winter, 5 inches of snow.   I was planning to shovel it all since I need the exercise but who am I kidding, I'm an old guy.  Snowblower did fire up on the first pull, nice.

Dragged the yard wagon down the drive and on the way back I picked up a load of anything 4" and under and brought it all to the shop. I cut it all into burnable length with the 12" chop saw. Then stacked it all under the saw near the stove. Probably enough to last a couple weeks. There is enough still out there for a few more trips.... and I haven't even ventured into the woods yet.

Yumpin yimminy it's cold!  It was 26 by the boat dock thermometer when I got to work this a.m.  That's down on the river where it's warm!  Temps are finally above 40 and the sun is out.  Some gators have climbed up on the banks in sheltered places.  The manatee are thick as mullet!  I got jammed up behind a big herd in the back channel on my first tour.  The touridiots are happy and that's all that matters.

Finally made it to 50° this afternoon. Spent the afternoon making final preps for the cold. Not much else to do but wait to see what damage comes out of this. Everything around here has shut down and probably won't open up until Thursday. I was in PC Saturday and you would think there was a hurricane coming, yep the snack isle wiped out as usual.

The end of the world Florida style. The weather people have turned this weather event into a total circus around here. The non natives are going crazy over it. Wait till hurricane season then it gets really stupid.

I did (well Kingston). Now I understand why Yankees are that way.  Poor devils.

Ok.  Thought we had another world event being predicted.  I’m good for a few months of a food shortage.  I just need to get a hand pump for the well.  Solar is on my list too.
