Good morning, hitting the road early. Platelet donation first thing this morning. After that it's round up supplies, food for me and the zoo and remaining car parts to start the repairs. I didn't want to work on the van over the holidays because of getting parts shipped in a timely manner, the bodies that have vanished that locate the parts, and parts stores that shut down for the holidays.

Up at 4am and made a single 14 oz coffee. That way Betty Lou can make any flavor she wants when she gets up.
I finished running outlets and the switch for the overhead lights in the barn yesterday. The lights should all be here early next week. Walmart has them coming from 2 different locations. So now I can get back to my own stuff.
Temps are only going to top out at 60 today so I'll get a fire going first thing. I have some airgun related stuff on the to do list.

There is a clear sky outside with a 10 MPH NW wind.
It is 6 F this morning and the windchill is around -8 F
I am expecting a high of 12 F today.
Once it warms up some, I may do a little shooting this afternoon.

Good Morning. Things seem to have gotten back close to normal, although all I ate yesterday was the pot pie and I was burping for about 10 hours afterwards. I was up until about 12:30 and woke up at 6:05 this morning. I would have slept a little longer but my wife had set an alarm today. She has an appointment to get her nails done today, I am not sure what time her appointment is for. Anyway, as soon as her alarm went off I was wide wake.
  We had $1,430 worth of maintenance done to her car so it's ready to drive to Missouri in a few weeks for my son's youngest daughter's wedding. Some of that maintenance was a little early but, I decided to just get it all done before the trip. Some of it could have waited until after the trip but, now it should be running optimally, with the fresh fluids and service including the valve adjustments being done.
 I need to take my annual look over of my financials to see if any "adjustments" are needed.

 It is 43°F and today's temperature is forecast to be a high of 74°F, COOLER than yesterday. Yesterday our temp reached close to 80°F with 21% humidity.

I've got to find out what the problem is with the batterys on the travel trailer not charging.☹️ I should see about getting a solar charger to keep the batteries charged up.

Slept in until just after 0900.  Going to play pool with pops then off to work.

I had the dog out to do his business at 5:45 am.
It is a bit on the nippy side this morning.
The outside temp is -2F.
There is a north west wind blowing at 10 to 15 mph.
The windchill is around -18 F to -23 F
I am expecting a daytime high of 7 F.
I am fortunate that Winter Storm Blair will pass well to the south of me.
Today, Nebraska and Northern Missouri are forecasted to get the worst of it.

Morning..
Yeah, I complain about the heat and humidity here in lower Alabama during the summer months but I don't miss the Winters of Northern Ohio one bit.
Apparently only 2 of the 9 lights will arrive today and there ain't no sense just hanging 2. I'll wait until the other 7 show up. No eta on those yet. They will be coming out of KS via FedEx.
So it looks like another free day to get myself into something in the shop. Release the Secret Squirrel.

I got invited to do some bunny hunting over at my youngest boys place today, I hope we don't go till about noon because it's suppose to be about 22 degrees by then. His 11 acres are absolutely a cotton tail paradise he's infested with them

Good morning, loading chicken feeders, making sure the waterers are working properly with this cold weather that is suppose occur in the next few day. Finish processing smoked turkey necks and add them to yellow rice. I will probably cook most of the weekend and have meals made up for the week. I don't want to have to deal with cooking when I start repair on the van this week. I will be to tired to deal with that. I may slip off to the cape this afternoon for a little break from the home chores.

I've discovered the ultimate Secret Squirrel call....
Sort through several ice cream buckets of miscellaneous stuff. 
When we moved to Pop's place down the road we fell into possession of everything that had been left behind over the years. Tools, hardware, all types of fittings, brackets... just anything you can imagine. I combined it all with stuff we had collected before moving there and brought it all with us to Killer's and combined it with all the stuff we inherited here.. much like what we found at Pop's. Whenever I am bored I pull out a few containers and break them down into more like items until stuff electrical is all together, plumbing, nut's and bolts, screws and so on... or so that's the initial plan..
But every time, never fails, I run across something I'd been looking for or something grabs my attention and I go in a complete different direction leaving the mess I just made behind to go make yet another mess.
I have a feeling I'm not alone in THIS World.    Anyways, that's where I'm at today.

Jim I used to have that problem till the bobcats took care of it. Now I hardly see any which is fine by me. I've been seeing one at my mother's place that I need to get since the cat won't.

Kris I like to store up cooked food for when I know I'll be wiped out too that way all I have to do is heat it up and sometimes I just eat it cold if I'm real sore.

We got a decent dusting last night and starting to taper off now.
Might go stomping some brush for Bunnies myself later.
