That's kinda the way it is now. Too many times I go looking for something I know I have but can't find until I go looking for something else. The plan is to just narrow it down to more like items in the containers.
Basically I'm killing time while I'm waiting on some things to arrive for jobs on the to do list. Parts to reseal Betty Lou's '68 Sheridan, lights for the barn... stuff like that.
Also waiting for the woods to dry out a bit so I can drag some fire wood logs out. Near 70s and sunny the next couple days.. that should help.

Mornin y'all!  I'm off today and there's lots to do.  There's two dogs here pestering me to go for a walk.  Once they stretch their legs I can take Belle out for a squirrel hunt.  Flash will have to stay home by the fire.  He's just too old now.  After that there's yet more work on the dock (it's never ending), the garden, the house, not to mention several art and airgun projects waiting in the shed.  Tonight I hope to take my new (to me) night vision scope out and do some pesting.

Went to work for the last official day of "Shut-Down".
 I have been stressing that we wouldn't get it all done with such a screwed up week.... but we were all done by 11:00 today
My guy's knocked it out of the park... so to speak.

Well I have managed not to do any more slip and slide here at the house. One tender body part is enough. Paid bills, making some lunch now. Work on the boat and some fishing tackle this afternoon. Just taking it easy for now and keep to the lighter repair projects until the shoulder heals up some.

Betty Lou wanted to make a local store run. While there we ran into a couple of the local LEO from here in town. I remembered I had a whole box full of PB ammo here that was left behind by Killer and I don't have the guns to shoot anything but .380, .22 and 12ga. I asked if they would come pick it up because I didn't want it around.
About an hour after we got home they showed up. They went through the box like kids in a candy store. What they couldn't use themselves, they knew someone that could use it.
They hung around for more than an hour and we talked about all kinds of things.. mostly airguns.
They grew up in this little town and know everything about everyone. They had some great stories about Killer's antics from days gone by.
I told them that we don't dig holes... never know what we might find.

Morning, ughh! I came down with something yesterday, maybe a stomach flue, maybe food poisoning? About 2:00 PM I got the runs and threw up my lunch around 4:00 PM too. I spent most of the day in bed or the bathroom. With that much time in bed I also feel like I got run over by a truck, Pain All OVER from laying down that much.

  I have just sipped on some propel since, I am not sure I feel like drinking coffee yet but, I have a headache that it might help, I am just not sure my gut would handle it well?

Good morning, finished up the fishing tackle build. I needed some pyramid weights that were about 1/2 ounce. Experimented with some fast setting silicone mold making stuff. It works great for the smaller weights. So a bunch were made up for fishing. I have molds but the smallest is 3/4 and was still to heavy for the rod I was using. I fish with ultralight rods a lot, it's less wear and tear on the arms and wrists. It just takes a little longer to land the big ones. Feed zoo, mail run, and finish working on the one chicken pen.

Hope ya feelin' better this morning Dan, the stomach stuff is on the loose around here, I am trying to stay out of public places right now because of it.

Going to MILs today.  Need to put the washer and dryer back in the laundry.  We have a mountain of laundry piled up!

Not sure the details on the rest of the day, just hanging out with my peeps.  We’ll be home tonight in time to have our own festivities in the safety and security of our own home.  Happy New Year! 🎆🎈🎊

Anyone thinking of buying a new Ford Bronco I'd recommend against it. Been driving a new loaner and it's the biggest Karen vehicle that I've ever driven. Incessant notification dings and blocking you from getting it to do what you need to just drive in peace. That is such an aggravating bastardization of the original which I'd much prefer to drive. They're going to make cars so annoying you can't stand to drive them soon. The rear view camera is the best thing I like about it but I've driven other vehicles that have that like their F150 which is way better to drive. The nighttime headlights aren't good either having dead zones and brights overlapping headlights creating patterns instead of one single blended in pattern.

This is why I am driving 20 year old vehicles, I don't need a vehicle to tell me how to drive, when to do services, or completely shut down in the middle of traffic because I hadn't buckled my seat belt yet.

This is the back woods of lower Alabama. The roads are very narrow. I pulled over and it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to turn that dam thing off.

Bill I finally learned to turn that off from a switch that's on the end of the turn signal/bright light stalk. One Ford I loaned from the dealer while mine was in the shop would flash red across the instrument panel while loudly coding like a heart attack victim dying in a hospital bed when I passed a vehicle on a narrow country road telling me COLLISION WARNING even after I passed the guy. The alert scared me so bad I nearly jerked into the ditch.

Yeah, I do tend to wander around in my lane while I'm taking in my surroundings but I do pay attention enough not to cross the center line or drive in the ditch. That thing was way too sensitive.. reminded me of a nagging... well, you know. 

I really thought something was wrong with the car.

 That was the most annoying thing about driving the moving truck on Missouri and Arkansas roads, and it was a piezo buzzer or an dinging, it sounded a LOUD HORN inside the cab.

The one alarm I did not want to hear when driving the big rigs is the air brake warning, you have 60 seconds to find a safe place to park the monster or things were about to get stupid because the brakes are locking up! On the bulldozer it was the hydraulics, you better find a safe spot to shut down or get fried in the process. Happy New Year and safe travels everyone.

Made to grandmas house and enjoyed the afternoon with her.  Came home and enjoying an outdoor fire 🔥 while pizzas are in the oven.  It’s dry and fairly calm out so that is huge.
