Good morning, 60° and soggy here. Much needed rain fell last night. May make my way the low docks in PSJ to fish. Try for something different for fish. I have plenty of live bait left from yesterday so the target is sheephead and mangrove snappers. Sometimes the Atlantic spades hang along the seawall as well and just as tasty as the rest.

We used to catch fat snook in there when I was a kid.  Take your flat bladed shovel to knock barnacles off the pilings and sea wall.  That'll get the sheepies feeding.

Taking Hoosier Momma for her weekly Surgeon's check-up in the "Big City" Ft. Wayne today.
 She has made good progress since last week I feel.
 Out of the wheel chair and back on crutches!

 I woke up and got up at 5:10 this morning. I have poured my coffee and sorted some papers so far.

 I think today I am going to sight in my older brothers Benjamin 392 and 397. Last time I was at his house he sent them home with me and I haven't got to them yet.

 That plan may change because it seems like I am forgetting something my wife and I had planned though??

Good morning, overcast with fog and rain on the way in the next few hours. Not much to do with nasty weather coming. Clean fishing gear, make some leaders for fishing, some laundry, clean up some things in the shop, and other light duty overhauling I can find for this yucky day.

I woke up at 5:30 this morning, I got up at 5:41. I didn't have my smart watch on through the night so I am not sure how long I slept but it was about 6 hours, NICE!

 Today is a Church "workday", people should show up at around 9:00 AM to help get some things done for a few hours.

 It's 41°F in Hemet right now, and supposed to get up to 73°F today.

Basically up all night.  I made the mistake of visiting my daughter at work last night after I got off work @ 2300 hrs.  She is a barista at a coffee stand.  Yeah, I ordered a drink and it had coffee in it.  Came home, surfed until 0200 hrs and decided to sleep.  Then Millie (dog) decided that she wasn’t content.  I set up a sleep space with her and was sleepless.  Micah got up around 0500 to go duck hunting so that kept me from sleep then I went back to the bedroom then then Buster (cat) decided that he wanted to run around the house with his claws scraping acrosss the plastic hard floors and MREOOOOOOW, MREOOOOOW, MREOOOOOW until he jumps on the bed and gets in my face mewing for me to pet him.  I finally threw in the towel and got out of bed 0730.  I feel like I have a brick on me… I took today off of work so I could work on the bath/laundry.  I’m not feeling it at the moment.

 Kinda! What I had forgotten was we planned on using a coupon for buy one Cheese Burger get one free at "The Habit" at lunch time. She reminded me about 11 AM and we followed through with our cheap lunch plan.

Brett I had a somewhat similar kind of night recently. Got woke up by a photo alert of human activity at 2am with something furry in the picture mostly out of frame. What it is Rick James in a fur coat looking for a ho to slap? I got the gun and walked out to find a frickin possum in the yard! Yep Spypoint picture AI is ridiculously stupid so I can't recommend them any longer unless you don't pay $99yr for species identification. Shot that sucker and walked deep into the woods with it dropping the carcass off for the critters to enjoy a free meal then I couldn't go back to sleep. No more waking me up for that critter at least.

Mornin y'all.  Stuck in the box for my sins.  For once I ain't complaining.  It's pouring down rain, lightning popping all around, and we're under a tornado warning.  I brought a tripod and my new NVD to play with.  Right now it's dark enough to use the NVD here!  So my plan for the day is read the owner's manual for this thing and learn what all the buttons do.

Just finished doing storm damage control. It didn't last long enough topple anything major. Just the usual leaf litter, small, branches, and pine cones. Got an inch of much needed rain out of it. Finish working a chicken pen, the frame is up, it just needs the wire, the roof, and shelter finished.

It’s tough to fall back asleep after something like that especially if you think it’s a person up to potentially no good deeds on your property.  Do you have a good portable flashlight?  Work provides us with some nice equipment.  The nice ones seemed to keep disappearing and work decided to not replace the more expensive ones since they were walking off the property.  They got us these less expensive ones.  I actually like them better than the others they got us.  I want to buy one for the house (I’m not going to take it from work, that’s stealing) but it just haven’t yet.  It would be perfect for around the house at night. It has 3 power settings and it’s rechargeable.  It’s performed great at work bouncing around the truck and in and out of the outside conditions.  Only downside is made in China.

Sam what NVD did you get? The weather was the same here yesterday. The torrent kept me driving no faster than 40mph and I saw roads flooded that I'd never seen flood before so it was a big gully washer. No tornadoes gratefully but LA and MS got some after it passed us. 

Brett I knew it wasn't human but I did suspect boar. Once I saw possum I realized it had just been real close to the camera. I have a very bright headlamp where I can see real good at 75yds and a small flashlight that casts further down the road than the brights on my car and it was only $60! Yep made in China.

Not sure what Betty Lou has planned but I plan on continuing sorting and labeling smalls. I have several ice cream buckets full of misc. stuff. Screws, nuts, bolts, brackets.. just all sorts of stuff
