Closest thing we will have on any given Christmas morning is a layer of frost on the tips of the grass. It almost resembles snow but is gone as soon as the morning sun hits it.
I'm good with that.

Straightening up the house. 
 With Hoosier Momma being confined to crutches or a wheel chair since Sept. 3rd, she has not been upstairs to the Kitchen / living room.
Tonight the sanitation / health inspector / germaphobe Daughter #4 is coming over and will give me the "White Glove test" and narc me out to her Mom in a heartbeat.
 Don't get me wrong, I like a clean house... not in a "Mr. Clean Rick" kinda way... but presentable.
I have been doing all the cooking, cleaning, dishes, and laundry for months by myself. But if there is one little Cob web all heck will break loose.
  Did you know that I shouldn't even smoke in my own garage?!

Funny part is... those two grand-daughter Hoodlums she brings can destroy a house in minutes upon arrival.

Wife's home and was really cranky 😡.  She was really tired from pet sitting then got a letter from the VA denying her travel pay which really spun her up.😁 I just went into my room and read and let her be grumpy self by herself.😂🤣😂 Hopefully she'll be better today as she's still asleep.

A daughter is on her way up from Oregon as we speak.  Two boys left early this AM with loaded packs going on a training hike.  Mrs. P just got out of the shower and coffee has been ready and I’ve already downed a cup.  Christmas lights are on inside and out and breakfast (eggs and sausage) will start being prepared here soon.  I have some clean up that I want to do from my bath/laundry project and I need to unearth the pool table so we can play on it tomorrow.

If it was more convenient I would take the boom sticks out for some exercise.  I may shoot an airgun but it’s gray, wet and chilly out so I may just call it dry and stay indoors.

After coffee and a shower I headed out to the shop and got the stove fired up. It was 37f in the shop.
Stacked the last of the split wood on the pile and Betty Lou and I set out to have breakfast at Jack's and pick up a ham for tomorrow from the local grocer.
When we got back it was near 70f in the shop and the fire needed reloaded.
Tracking shows a few minor things out for delivery but they probably won't keep me busy long.. might go drag a few dead falls out of the woods and fire up the chainsaw.

Good Morning, Merry Christmas Eve.

I slept from 3:00 until 8:00 this morning and got up right at 8:00.

We are going to be spending time with some family, just the ones that live in SO CAL

We may all go to see a movie later on today? We plan to talk it over about lunch time.

Probably going to cut a dummy pin so I can finish assembling the H135 finally! Not sure if I'm going to make a hammer latch pin out of the letter A drill bit and use the original pin as the dummy pin 🤔. Not sure if the original pin is as hard as the high speed drill bit. That latch is holding a lot of pressure.😳

Merry Christmas!

I woke up at 5:05 this morning, and up. It's 51 degrees on my back deck right now. Today's temperature is forecast to be cooler than yesterday, with a mix of clouds and sun, high of 63F, winds light and variable. Our forecast "rain" was a flop, we got just a few sprinkles yesterday, not enough to get the ground wet though. It did raise the humidity to 83% and todays low humidity will be about 25-30% higher than it has been lately at 45% at the lowest point for the day.

 My wife and I were asked to go out to eat at Sizzler today with a friend of hers and her son, we plan on doing that since we did our family get together yesterday and they only have each other too.

 And then at 5:00 PM we are having a Church fellowship service for those that can make it. I only expect a small group that don't have family around here to show up. I am sure there will be some baked goods there too, including Pumpkin Pie my wife made for the occasion.

Never seen a guy doing a Taekwondo kick on a couch. Pretty setup on the mantle. I usually do that with mine too but didn't mess with it this year. The Christmas tree was enough for me this go around.

Hope everyone's Christmas wishes came through.
Been up about an hour.. Grabbed a shower while coffee was brewing.
Drizzly rain over night and continuing this morning. Temps predicted to be in the mid 60s.
Betty Lou said she wants to make a run into the big city (Troy) for a few things she realized she needed.
I also want to pick up a gallon of hydraulic/tranny fluid to change the oil in the log splitter.
Not much planned after that. I'll just let the secret squirrel take the lead.

Mornin y’all!  Driving boats today!  It’s dampish this a.m. and cool so I doubt the 0940 boat will make.  Hopefully it will be a mellow day.

Good morning, 60° and soggy here. Much needed rain fell last night. May make my way the low docks in PSJ to fish. Try for something different for fish. I have plenty of live bait left from yesterday so the target is sheephead and mangrove snappers. Sometimes the Atlantic spades hang along the seawall as well and just as tasty as the rest.
