No plans turned eventful day...
The kitchen sink stopped up and I did all I could to unstop it. No joy, had to call a plumber. $200 later they got it to drain slow but it needs work. I gotta dig a hole. We'll put a ghetto septic tank in. The sink and the washing machine are all that will drain into it.
While they were here I got that old laptop out and spent the day trying get 1 of 4 OSs on it. No joy there either.. it is now laying on the dump trailer with the 4 gb ram and the 500 gb HDD laying on the table....   pos.
During all that I watch a nascar race and 2 college football games.

I'll be digging a hole tomorrow.   

Hope it's nice, sandy, leach field friendly soil.

It is... there may be some roots near the top but once through them it'll be a cake walk... other than me being old.

I could not get the light fixture camera to work.
It just won't hook up to my WiFi and I don't think it has Bluetooth.

So I'm sending it back and will do a little more research before I try again.

I saw my oncologist this afternoon and we went over the PET scan.
It had not moved to any other part of my body, that we can tell, and is retained to the
neck lymph nodes / mouth area. he wants to do both chemo and radiation.

I have a chemo class tomorrow afternoon.
I guess it'll tell me how it's done and what one might expect.

All my cameras are bnc wired.. never tried it with the bulb camera. This weekend I plan to run it to my network.

Good luck Ron.🙏 I hope it takes care of the cancer. Just make sure you drink lots and lots of water to flush that stuff out of your system. I've got to go get a PET scan in January so we'll see if anything has popped up.

I have to look at a few thousand items in 2 upcoming gun auctions.  Most of the stuff I can skip over quickly but there's always drool worthy items that gets my attention.  Not sure what drives me to do this,  I'm supposed to be getting rid of shooting stuff.  Not too much AG stuff this time but there is a very nice condition Sheridan that I might have to do a hands on examination.   I wish I hadn't sold my Sheridan a couple years ago.   It was a like new, factory peep sighted, still had the factory sticker, sitting untouched in my safe for over 40 years.   Shortly after I sold it, I got much more interested in AGs.

Mornin y'all!  Belle and I are back from the woods.  We went for a long hike in which no squirrels were molested but Belle got a lot of training on hand signals.

Hopefully I will make a dump run today.  It depends on how my shoulder feels.  Not looking good right now.  I'll probably help the missus disassemble the plastic garden shed and re-erect it on a new spot.  Some more tinkering with the Beeman 1332 Raider is in order and still more training for Belle.

Morning...

I was up at 4:30 and did the normal morning routine. I sat and drank coffee until it was light enough to go outside. I grabbed a shovel and dug a hole in the wet nasty sandy ground where the kitchen sink and washer drain off into the woods.
Everything else goes into the septic system. The plumber was out yesterday snaked and pumped pressurize water through the pipe and got a bunch of solid grease out but the grey water really had no place to go.
Whoever ran the drain originally just dug a hole and a ditch off into the woods.. all that filled up with sand and under growth over time.
I dug the hole 3' diameter and 3' deep (that stuff was heavy). I put 3 - 4" of gravel in the bottom of the hole under the drain pipe outlet and drilled 50+ 1/2" holes in the bottom and sides of a 48 qt. plastic tote and stuck it in the hole under the pipe outlet. Then I surrounded it with 4" of gravel.
We ran 4 full sinks of hot soapy water and Betty Lou ran a load of laundry. The tote fill 3/4 of the way full then slowly began to soak into the ground. More hunks of solid grease came out.
I put a cement block on the lid of the tote and made a 6' diameter of hog wire fence around it to keep critters (Boss) from digging it up.
When Nick gets in from working on his job putting in high electric towers in Florida he is going to grab up his strong young buddies and we'll replace the tote with a 55 gallon plastic barrel. But for now this tote will hold a day's worth of grey water and it will soak into the ground over night.

So, what happens if we get 2 or 3 days of heavy rain? No problem.. I have a submersible pump I can keep the tote pumped out with. It has a ball float on it and I can just leave it on until the ground soaks up the rain. This sandy area soaks up standing water pretty quick. We also have a 1/8 acre retention pond to control ground water.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! I got up at 0430, had coffee and went to my 0600 meeting that wasn’t. There was nobody there. Oh well, I went on into work. I’m at a job that has 4 rooftop units down. We already know what’s wrong with 3 of them. Kind of a nuisance job, but I haven’t been to work since last Thursday. I got my spinal injection on Friday and I’m still doing good.

I gotta take some stuff to the best place in town--the dump.  Maybe rake leaves when I get back or work in the attic.  Definitely be slow cooking some ribs this afternoon.

Be careful of those spinal injections John. They make you not feel any damage you are doing to your back. That's what pain is for. It lets you know to stop damaging your body.

Mornin hall!  I got up at 0500 this a.m. and took belle hunting.  We drove almost an hour to my favorite WMA, hiked for three hours and then drove home. I was going to help my mom today but her plans changed.  If the weather continues to improve I may try to get back out in the woods later.
