Y'all are just flat cray cray you know that?  I got an eight by ten of me mowing the lawn.  Yeah that ain't never gonna happen.  Lawn sweeper?  Really?  Y'all are just glutton's fer punishment.  Life is far too short for that kinda nonsense.

I just use the mower with mulching blades and a mulch kit on the deck chute which to me is way faster and easier than raking/burning or using sweepers which you constantly have to get out and empty. I love Ernie's idea of deleting the trees for no leaves which would save much time not having to mulch and would also mean no acorns for the critters to want to come around. It would also save time not having to pick up limbs.

Good Morning! I got sleepy and went to bed early (10:00 PM) so, now I'm wide awake and was in too much pain to stay in bed at 2:30 AM. I do feel well rested though.    I didn't want to disturb my wife by tossing and trying to go back to sleep since I don't feel like I need any more sleep anyway. Just getting up caused most of that pain to go away.

Up and at work late start but that didn't stop me from waking up at 3 to look at my alarm and realized I have 1 more hours of sleep. Loaded up for a delivery about to be like a fetus and head out soon. Should be a relatively easy and early day.

Morning..
We to bed around 9:30 and I woke up at 2:30 out of necessity  then went back to bed. I woke up at 5 and took 30 minutes to collect thoughts and drag myself out.
Made coffee and put last week's Xfinity race on for a recap and some noise. Undecided on what to do today but I think Betty Lou has a local grocery store run planned for us. They do weekly specials on Friday and Saturday and you have to get there early or it's slim pickins. The ad comes online on Wednesday and she makes a list from it.
It's airgun season around here. The weather is much more comfortable to be outside and the critters are out gathering and storing for the couple of colder months coming. The problem there is that's it's also outdoor project season. I usually combine the 2 activities.

We got about 3 inches of wet snow yesterday.
The roads are all iced up this morning.
It is 25 F this morning with patchy freezing fog before 9am.
Mostly sunny today, with a high near 43. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.


It is grandparents day today at our grandchildren's school.
We have to be there at 8:30 am for breakfast with the kids.
I am glad it is not very far away.
I don't have the snow tires on the car yet.

I'm on VACATION!

Two glorious weeks of sloth, debauchery, bacchanalia, dissipation, and intoxication!

The memsahib wants to go beachcombing down on the Treasure Coast.  The plan is to make our way in a leisurely fashion down to that blighted part of Florida.  I loathe South Florida and consider it a terribly polluted and toxic place.

But it does have really good thrift stores.

This trip is for the memsahib but I hope to cruise the pawn shops and thrift stores.  Maybe look into an Iguana safari.  I might get to use my surf rods.  At any rate we will be home by the 9th for the first day of small game season!

Sounds like a great time to bring up that airgun purchase again.

Slight change of plans.  TOC called with the results of my MRI.  Yep it's the dang rotator cuff.  This time it's the right shoulder.  So now I've got an appointment with the snake oil peddler "Specialist" on Monday a.m.  We're pushing our trip back until mid-week.

We're discussing making a trip over to the Otter Creek/Cedar key area tomorrow.  I want to look at a couple of hulks the insurance companies have totaled.  A 22' C-Dory and a 18' Chebacco cat boat.  I might drag the flatbed trailer on the off chance I can find a useable hull for free.  I hope to find a gunk holer in the 25' range and rebuild it into a low powered "Poor man's trawler".

Mornin' Boys and Girls...

Rolled out at 4:30, put the coffee on and food in Boss' bowl then hit the showers. Got dressed and lit up the bar.
Grab a cup of Joe and the laptop and sat down at the bar table to turn on the recorded Nascar truck series race from last night. Betty Lou don't care much for the truck race. She prefers the cars so I watch it when I get the chance.
Think I might find a motion sensor recorder so the crowd hollers "BILL" when I enter the bar.

Good Morning! Up at 6:30 this morning, I slept well and feel well rested too.

 Yesterday I put up a new portable carport in front of my motorcycle shed. The old one had suffered some damage from high winds and the cover was sun rotted too. I am pretty sure it would have shredded in the next high wind. I have the south side tied to the 4' backyard chain-link fence so it can't just blow away. The north side, one corner it tied down to another fence/gate post and I drove in two anchor tiedowns for the other two posts. We'll see if those hold? Before with the old one I had some weights hanging from those two posts. I had some random stuff stored under one end of the carport (a loaded table) before and need to sort through it and get it all put away since I don't want to put it back under the new carport. It was there all summer so it is past time to get it put away and get rid of the junk. It looks like I have until 3:00 or 4:00 PM before it might rain.
 I guess most of it is stuff "saved for a rainy day" so today may be appropriate day to sort it out. LOL

 I will say I am impressed at how long that last carport's cover lasted, 4 years. 

 I need to finish drinking my coffee and get after it! It's 45°F right now so I start off with a light jacket on. I am sure I'll be moving around enough to be warm enough.

Mornin y'all.  The iron Maiden is staying with mom so the memsahib and I have the (tiny) house to our selves.  Man we are enjoying it too!  We just wallowed in bed this a.m.  Our plans were to cruise over to Cedar key today but I think we spent too much time wallowing.  I'm headed in to town shortly to vote.  That's my big plan for the day.  Then back to the sloth and dissipation.

The wife aka boss needs me to dig up some flowers and put them in the garage. We'll be having below freezing temperatures for the foreseeable future. 😡😡 I keep telling her to get flowers that come back every spring.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I got up around 0430, we set our clocks back last night before bed. It’s really windy outside, we have some much needed rain coming. We got some rain a few days ago overnight, even had an EF1 tornado hit town a bit. But now it looks like we’re going to get quite a bit of rain until early Tuesday morning. This year we left our pool up, so after my first cup o’Joe, I checked the pool cover. I’m not as satisfied about the cover in the wind & rain as I was when it was calm & dry. Oh, well… another cup o’Joe and I might check it again to see if I can improve its security. We have Church & small group today. I sure have been busy and haven’t been around much, so- Happy Anniversary to you Brett & Mrs. P! 33 years is awesome!

We got some rain a few days ago overnight, even had an EF1 tornado hit town a bit. But now it looks like we’re going to get quite a bit of rain until early Tuesday morning. This year we left our pool up, so after my first cup o’Joe, I checked the pool cover. I’m not as satisfied about the cover in the wind & rain as I was when it was calm & dry. Oh, well… another cup o’Joe and I might check it again to see if I can improve its security. We have Church & small group today.
