Mornin y'all!  Back to work today.  Still seriously understaffed so I'm back in the hated ranger station again.  Everyone else loves ranger station duty cause it's easy.  I loathe it because it's indoors and boring as spit.  I'd rather clean bathrooms all day than be stuck in the box.

Good Afternoon! 

Our plans for a little later involve starting/attending our local community Zoom meeting so we can elect board members.  This isn't for an HOA; it is for our RMA- Road Maintenance Association- which has been MIA for a decade or more.  The whole purpose of the RMA is to ensure the dirt roads, culverts, and ditches are maintained properly for the 28 properties here. 

I just reinstalled the Zoom extension on one of the spare laptops; earlier I spent about hour in the woods working on a nasty deadfall with several hangers and a grand-poo-bah widow-maker.

Morning..
We sat in our bar yesterday and watched Nascar. While we sat there we had a good look around for potential improvements.
One thing became very obvious after a couple hours... The barstools are not very comfortable for us older folks and the bar itself is just too narrow.
I think we've decided to take the bar our and replace it with the wood kitchen set we have in the kitchen. It's a 4' country style table with 2 chairs on one side and a bench on the other. We only have meals in the kitchen on the major Holidays. We'll replace that with a vintage wood table we have with a drawer on one side and no chairs. Betty Lou can use it as an island and it will take up less space in her smallish kitchen.
We think we'll take more meals on the table set in the bar.
Also, there is a small patio table and 2 chairs crowed in the bar that Betty Lou uses when she paints and does her crafts. That set will come out and open more space in the bar. She can use the wood table set for that kind of stuff.
We'll see how it all plays out today.

 Good morning! I got up at 5:30 this morning. I don't have any real plans for today.

 I know my wife has been asked by a friend to go to lunch and then help her with some house cleaning. So, it's going to be me Hank and Patches hanging out today.

I've got to go see the vampires. Then I've got to go fight with the tire place about the balance of the tires. They used stick on weights instead of clip on weights. With the muddy roads we have to traverse those stick on weights won't last at all. Between the wheels getting packed with mud and the pressure washer to remove the mud they're going to get knocked off. That FJ isn't some mall mom's car. It gets used for what it was designed for. Then I'm going to do some grocery shopping at Wally world. Then go and pick up some packages at my daughter's. If I get before dark I'll be surprised.☹️

Actually got everything done that we set out to do this morning. I even got that that Daisy 922 sighted in with the new Bargain Gate REX 3-9X42 AO scope. It's a good fit.

Well I got the wheel weights taken care of but of course it couldn't be that simple. They busted a lugnut stud off so now I have to go get that replaced 🤬🤬🤬

Find a better place Madd I went through many places like that until I finally found a good one out of town but it's sure worth the drive not having any more hassles like that.

Been down that road a few times. Nobody uses a torque wrench any more, they are in a hurry to zip them off and on with an impact wrench and do more damage than repair. I just carry the tires in now and put them back on myself. Both vehicles have solid lug nut now on them. The original ones had the decorative cap on them and the last time I was in the shop the dummy rung them off. Which in turn changes the socket size when removing the lug nuts. I had a nail in the van tire, asked them to patch it, nope the dummy plugged so now I can not safely rotate that tire to the front. I will fix the next one at home, I have a tire changer now and just pay somebody to balance them.

I did accomplish something today that needed to be done… dumped the debris that was loaded in the utility trailer.  I bought this trailer for $600 from a coworker that was retiring and relocating.  It has been a valuable tool to have.  That’s my 24 year old Toyota Tacoma that I use to pull it around.  It has 346K miles on it.  I got my monies worth out of it.

Hello, glad you can get up early.  My circadian clock did a huge shift after I retired.  Up late, then awake during the wee hours of the morning,  crash about 04:30 or 05:00 and sleep till around 09:00. Hate getting up late.

Yeah, I do have the advantage of being retired. I can spend all my work efforts around here and you have an actual job to go to. I have way more vacation days and they are very flexible.
