Good morning! I got up at 5:15 AM,
I think as soon as I get done with my coffee, I am going to start rearranging my office/man cave, I know it is going to be a lot of work, requiring emptying shelves desks and moving tools, airguns. I need to think this out and know it will be a subtle change and worth the effort.
I started typing this earlier and the squirrel took me away. I am still trying to map out a better layout. I have 2 full size desks (32"x60" and 34"x60"), a small gun safe (21"x22"), 2 four drawer file cabinets (15"x28" the other 27"x18"), and a shelf unit that takes up 18"x36" of floor space too. One wall has a full-length closet incursion into the floor space and the door, one has the window with the AC in the middle of the wall, those walls not being open for use impose limits to the viable options. I think I am going to just switch a file cabinet and shelf unit for now and see how that works. If I move the desks, I have to relocate book shelves on the walls too since the bottom shelf over my desk would be too low for the file cabinet to stand under.
My window AC unit is behind the shelf unit currently and is one of the main reasons I would like to change things. I have been keeping the shelf directly in front of the AC empty but would be nice to have that shelf space useable year-round too.

Good luck batching it Bill!  It’s fun for the first couple of days.  By day three it’s a chore.  After the first week you’ll be wishing she was home.

The memsahib goes to Texas for a month or so each year.  It gets awful lonely around here.

Anyhoo. . . . . .  Nothing planned for the next three days.  I intend to continue my review of the 3622.  I’m gonna put the pontoon back in the water.  Geoff and I are going scalloping up St. Joe bay and we may go fish the beacon towers for triple tail.  I got a stack of airguns and PBs that need to be zeroed.  So I gots plenty to do.  If I wants to.

Betty Lou should be halfway to Dallas by now. Then she has a 1 hour lay over before jumping to Columbus Ohio. She'll land there at 6pm ET.
I got home from dropping her off and the dogs greeted me with tails wagging as usual. Then they stoop by the door waiting for Betty Lou to come in. When she didn't come they wanted out. They looked around outside for her before wanting back in. We had a petting fest then they both went to their respective beds and passed like it was just another day.
I hope Rambo don't think she's a stranger when she comes home and bite her. I told her she might want to bring bacon.

Not much today, the usual routine for the most part. Started polishing a piece of tree agate last night and will finish that this afternoon. Later on I will clean off the utility trailer and get it ready to pick up a lawn mower.

Day 1 of "The Bach"...
Woke up at 3:30.. alone.
Instead of the dismal drama of the morning news I put on a recorded episode of "Draining the Oceans" which featured the Jamaican pirate city of Port Royal.
Texted with Betty Lou before going to bed.
Think I'll have cinnamon raisin oatmeal and cinnamon raisin swirl toast with gobs of butter for breakfast.
After that I'll head out to the shop and finish putting the base and caster wheels on a utility cart I'm putting together.
After that I might take a ride to some second hand joints and pawn shops. I'm looking for a router and a wood burning stove for the shop.
I also noticed a reminder on the kitchen chalk board to order a propane delivery.

Good morning, just taking it easy today, clean out the boat and service the motor. Put a chicken pen together so I can get the temporary ones dismantled. No yard work for a minute until this place dries out some.

I thought about fiddling with the 3622 some more but honestly y’all,  PCP’s (and gassers) are boring.

Found it at the local towing/junkyard and Ronnie said "Back up to it and I'll help you load it up".  It's a heavy SOG.
I got home and dropped it out of the truck and hauled it into the shop with a 2 wheeler.
I put the legs on it and I'll get it wire brushed and set in place. I already bought the stove pipe parts for it. I have red brick stepping stones to set it on and metal roofing to put on the wall behind it.

Almost forgot.... Sheriff West invited me out to his barn this afternoon to have a beer with the local old dudes. Think I'll take the .25 Hatsan 1KV and some cast pellets with me.

I didn't get to that project today because of the lawn mower run. It's a 5hp 4 stroke which is a no brainer to work on. The carb is an easy set up. 2 bolts and it's off. I replaced the impeller on it last year so I am good for a while. It gets great gas mileage, I can just about go all summer on 3 gal. depending on where I fish. The boat is a solo skiff, it's way better that a kayak and jon boat. It only weighs 150 lbs without the accessories. So it's east to unload or load anywhere, I don't need a fancy boat ramp to launch, just clear path to the water. I can throw a cast net or fly fish out of it. I built a rod rack out of pvc to get the rods out of the way when throwing a cast net.
