At my place right now at 7:00 PM it is 98°F with 13% humidity and a 3-4 mph breeze. It feels OK in the shade.

2215 hrs.  winds are about 25-30 mph.  It's raining but not terribly hard as the first bands of this storm sweep across us.  I just checked the river front and our rip wrap.  It's holding but the storm is just starting.  The river did fall a little with the tide going out but this storm is not pulling the water out of the bay the way Michael did.  Predicted storm surge is ten feet but with 8-12 inches of rain.  It's definitely gonna crest the rip wrap but hopefully it won't wash away too much of the yard.  I don't expect to sleep much tonight and I'll make the rounds checking the water levels through the night.

This area just got bumped up to a tropical storm warning, not a good sign for me. The wind has started to pick up and have light rain. Yep, it's going to be a sleepless night for sure.

Going to attempt to repair the piston on my Diana 350, my buddy is bringing over his torches and a bushing he made for me and hopefully I can silver solder it so the latch rod doesn't shuck all over the place. I hope I can fix it, I've looked high and low and nobody has a new piston in stock. Support for Diana products here in the United States stinks, you'd think Diana would just send me a new piston, this is clearly a factory defective part😬 The way they make these pistons I'd be tempted to preemptively silver solder a new one.

Woke up at 4:30 and laid in bed until 5. Got up and made coffee. Watching the camera and waiting for a couple bird feeder raiders to show up so I can slip out the back door and snipe them.
Also keeping an eye on the Debby updates and waiting to hear from our members who live in the path to report in. I hope they are OK.
I'm also going to check on a better location to park the truck I have for sale. This potential location is only a mile from the house and it will be more convenient for me to respond to interested buyers. I have it in town about 5 miles away now. So far I have met with 4 potential buyers but no takers yet. 2 of them are waiting for money. I hope to sell it this week.

Mornin y'all!  Storm in a teacup.  Literally.  Debby didn't.  I crashed about 0300 when I decided it wasn't going to be a problem for us.  Got up about 0830 with no electricity.  I checked the rip wrap on the waterfront first thing and the river is way down.  Looks like minimal erosion of the freshly sodded slope.  I think we got more rain from an afternoon thunder shower last week.  The two floating docks were jammed up when the river fell and one is now sitting partially on top of the other but that will correct itself when the tide rises.  Surprisingly little wind debris in the yard although the awning over my antique John Deere farm wagon split.  I grabbed my C362 and a handful of Ruger SuperPoints and whistled for the dogs.  We rambled all over our little neighborhood and it looks like damage is minimal.  Flash and Bell have wadded in every puddle between here and the highway and Bell dove off the rip wrap first thing.  The power came back on about 1045 hrs so we didn't even have to run a generator.

Looks like west Florida got the worst of it.  I hope that all of ya'll that live between Marco and Steinhatchee come through this okay.

Woke up a few times during the night but managed to go back to sleep. At around 3:30 I quit fighting and got up. Made coffee and put one of the old Hobbit movies on and dozed in and out in the recliner.
Got a late call on the truck last evening.. lady said her husband would like to meet me and look at it when he gets off work this afternoon. So far I've had at least 1 looker a day. Lots of interest but no call backs yet. I thought one guy from yesterday would call back but he didn't yet. He was looking at it for his son. I guess his son's wife recently left him and took everything he had. Hate when that happens.   

No real plans for today... I think they are scheduled to pour the concrete floor in the barn today... maybe I'll go hang out and watch. That's a pretty large slab... should be interesting. $11k in concrete.

Good morning! I was up at 5:30 this morning. I have been sipping my coffee.
 My only plans so far are I need to go out and reinstall the right side latch on my camper shell that I repaired last night, before it gets HOT out. The bolt that holds it on had stripped out so, I tapped it to a bigger sized bolt. It is currently a pleasant 77°F with 29% humidity on my back deck.
 And then stay cool with temps about like yesterday being forecast. I'll probably read most of the day.

 Tomorrow we are supposed to have some clouds and our high temp is supposed to drop about 10 degrees or so.

I had an acquaintance that went to cement companies and asked to have any "extras" to be poured in the
area he had prepped in his back yard. He had the foundation poured for his "work shop" (read man cave) at a huge
discount in price per yard.
The cement companies have to get rid of the left over cement from a job and some are willing to just give it
to anyone who wants it, or sell it at big discounts, other wise it just gets poured out on the ground back at the cement plant.

I have posted some thumbnail sketches and some un inked panel work on the forum.  The problem with posting your art on the internet (without suitable safe guards)  is it becomes public domain.  I intend to copy write this one day.  I have some connections in the comic book business and I hope to eventually get this piece published.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday, it’s Hump-Day! I got up at 0430, it’s been hot and we’ve been busy. I’m helping a crew replace 4 rooftop HVAC units. And today is going to be another hot one.

Good morning, weather clear and a little bit cooler. The usual, feed zoo, pick fruit, garden patrol, pick up feed, pick up mail. Hopefully this afternoon I can some stuff casted for fishing and air guns. May slip down to the river or out on the cape if this North wind keeps up.

Up at 5am. Made coffee and working on an itinerary for Betty Lou's trip to Ohio to visit her momma.
We've decided to put her on a plane. We're somewhat flexible but we do have a few limitations. The main deciding factor is layover time.
That said, best we can do is roughly 1 stop and 1 hour layover in Dallas on both to and from flights. The next issue was arrival and departure times. It's around 45 miles to the airport from here and about 25 miles to the airport for her family to pick her up and drop her off in Ohio. Three of the 4 appointments are a non issue being after 10am and before 6pm. The one that will be a bit of a pain is the 5:30 am departure time on her return trip. It's not a deal breaker, just a pita.
She would leave on the 21st of Aug. and return on the 2nd of Sept. (American Airlines) No small puddle jumper planes, all big body planes.
Next on the list was a burner cell phone. I have a cell phone for when I or we are away from home. We have a house phone for Betty Lou when she is home and I am away. She also uses it to talk to her family. We want to grab her a cheap minute phone for the trip just be able to make connections for the just in case things that may come up. Such as "I'm at the airport, where are you"? Of course that would be an issue with me, just come to the bar.
