Morning GTA...
Up at 5am this morning and put the coffee on. Glanced in the mirror as I went into the bathroom. I had to do a double take before remembering I got the haircut. I've been looking at that other guy for several years... who the heck is this?
No real plans for today. Betty Lou has decided to put the local grocery store run off until Friday when the new 2 day weekly ad comes out.
The forecast is calling for low to mid 90's and at least a 50% chance of rain everyday for the 7 days. That same line of thunder storms came through right on time between 2 and 3 pm yesterday. It kinda feels like the groundhog day thing. Everyday for the past 4 or 5.
I suppose I could bring the z360 into the shop and take the front wheel off that won't hold air. I could take it down to my buddy Pete's tire shop and ask him to put a new valve in it and clean the rim up so it will seal. I could also pick up a bucket of wheel weight lead for casting from him.

Good morning, thunder in the Gulf already this morning so the yard work will be cut short with the rain coming on shore. Been having storms early in the morning this week. Need the rain but not the lightning, it's been brutal around here. I am surprised a touron has not been nailed on the beach around here. This stuff reaches out for miles sometimes and they never knew what hit them. Open parking lots are fair game as well. Having been nailed myself it is not a pleasant experience at all. So for a while I will just find things to do indoors until this mess passes.

I woke at 5:38 and got up at 5:40 after thinking about it a couple of minutes.

All but one of the packages I was waiting for yesterday didn't come, late in the day I got a notice that they would be delivered today so, I'll have to stick around here waiting again.

The next 8 days our weather is supposed heat back up into the triple digits everyday again, with humidity rising overnight to around 70% and dipping to the mid teens in the heat of the day. The evaporative cooler will work good so, I'll be reading a lot and staying cool inside mostly.

Flarda is the lightning strike capital of the world!  On average five people a year are struck by lightning on Florida beaches.  Go Lemmings go! 

I'm watching the lightning tracker right now trying to decide whether to cancel boat tours and close the swimming area.

No not really but it gave me a whole new meaning of being " lit up". By holy mackerel it will light you up and then some.

No not really but it gave me a whole new meaning of being " lit up". By holy mackerel it will light you up and then some.

I remember as a kid working on my Uncle's ranch in Wyo, digging post holes for a hay pen when a thunder storm came up
and I was using a 6' pry bar to break up the dirt at the bottom of the hole.

Then when I was resting while the others used shovels to removed the broke up dirt, I felt a tingling  and lifted up the bar over my head and it started to vibrate, the hairs raised up on my arm and I threw it down and moved away.

The others looked at me like I was crazy, but when I explained we packed it up and went back to the ranch until the storm
had passed.

This time my smart kicked in just in time to save the crazy.

Now, if I'm playing golf, if I even hear the distant rumble, I'm off the course as fast as the cart will go.

Plans for me are... Work.  Sonja is headed back to our old 'hood to visit her sister.  She'll be back this afternoon, with a sidetrip to the DMV.

Nothing remarkable for me; I may shoot one of the MSPs.  My C-1 has a bad breech seal, so I'm down a springer.  And this, just after I identify Fenix domes as being a good longer range pellet for it.

Up between 4:30 and 5. Made coffee and headed out to the shop. I moved one of the tables to make room to work and backed Betty Lou's Kodiak in first because it was in the ATV garage in front of the shop roll up. Just a few minor things to finish up on it before I can get to the main task for today.
The plan is to get the z360 back in and take the front wheels off to take them to the tire shop for rim clean up and new valve stems. Then I will pull the plugs and air filter off to be replaced when the air filter arrives tomorrow. I have the new plugs here so I'll get those put in. There is also a supposed to be a needle valve on the top of the carb that gets dirty from having a dirty air cleaner.. I will investigate that. If nothing else, Mike will rebuild the carb for $30... or another BB gun.

Woke up to rain this morning which is needed. May ride the roads this morning to the river and fish a little. Bought my freshwater license yesterday so I can fish in a management area. I will be also looking at where to hunt small game and hog as well. Just something different to do.

Woke up at around 3:30.... gave up on going back to sleep and made coffee and watched the critters
in the back yard, possums, sniff the air for food.

I'm taking Mom to get some labs done and then I might or might not dig into why Eve and Dora misbehaved
on me yesterday.

Stayed up late last night watching the last night of the RNC. I slept in didn't wake up till 0603. I have a headache this morning, I hate that. It's cooler this morning 71° at 6am and feels pretty good despite the humidity.

Rain is predicted for this afternoon, hopefully my headache will ease.

Took that z360 tire to Pete... sho nuff was a cut valve stem. He put a new one in then cleaned and put sealer on the beads on the rims and aired it up. I think I got the other side sealed but next time it loses air it will get the same treatment. I'll get that back on the mower and flip it around to work on the other end.... plugs, air filter and see about the needle valve.

Yep, vacation:  It is so dry here that I have not mowed in July.
My plan for today is to stay inside and out of the heat.

Mike, if it weren't for those a/c units in the shop and the shed I'd be doing the same thing. Unfortunately the daily rain showers we get here keeps the grass green and growing.

 Good Morning! I have a Cardiologist appt. this morning and then I plan to try to stay in and cool as the temp gets back to around 106°F today.

 I am holding off on drinking my coffee or eating so I can go get fasting blood work done when I leave the Cardiologist.

 I have to go get ready to leave now, I check back in around or before noon if all goes well.
