Woke up originally @ 0530.  Back asleep until 0645.  Outta bed @ 0720.  Made cappuccinos and sipped one down.  Did some online puzzles 🧩.  Getting ready to cook waffles, bacon and hash browns.  It’s our oldest son’s b-day today.  He turns 27.  He is here with us for a couple weeks while he has a break at school.  He has completed his 2nd year of an MD-PhD program at UMN.  He is very sharp and we are proud of what he has done so far.  Today will be a conglomeration of loosely birthday related items.  Elliott will be studying mostly but we will get to sprinkle b-day celebration stuff in throughout the day. 

I have the afternoon off from work.  I’ll go play pool with Pops here in a bit.  Later, when I get home, I’ll put some ribs on the smoker for dinner tonight.  I may clean up the regulator in my Royale and get that together again.  Just gonna hang with my peeps and enjoy the time away from work cause I’ll be back at it again tomorrow morning @0700 - 2300.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I worked 16 hours yesterday, hard work. I stayed up until midnight, slept in until 0800. I’m finishing up my coffee and I’m thinking about taking a dip in the pool. The water was 80* last night, but it was late. I could do some stuff off my list, or can just swim and shoot airguns today. I think the latter plan sounds best.

Just take it easy and hope there's no more drama! After the drama of the tree getting hit by lightning around 1500 the wife text me "getting ready to evacuate"! WTH!!!! I call her and she said I don't have time right now. She finally called me about an hour later and said there was another fire! No idea how it started but they're fighting it. They, the Ash Fork volunteer fire department responded to this one and got it out fairly quickly. @#$&##!! This is getting ridiculous!!

John I had my first swim of the year the other day. Water temp was 87 and felt nice.

I planned and did some more sanding along with dremmeling a notch for the safety button
to slide through when I put this back together.

This should make it easier to slip the rifle back into the stock with out having to jiggle and play with
it so much when trying to drop it in.

Good morning GTA! Happy Father’s Day! I slept in until 0700 and I’m finishing up my coffee. I’m going to have some breakfast and then head into Sunday School and Church. After that, I don’t plan on doing much else. A lot like yesterday; lunch, nap, swim and shoot.

 Chilling, already did some basement plinking with the Crosman 100  it is still not too old or fragile to have some fun with  Also played with the Bottle Jet1  and the new Monstrum 1.5x prism circle dot, found it can be held at arms length and be used as a dot, with the circle going to the outer edge of the scope view.

 Will be doing the usual Sunday brunch with SWMBO, then having the parental units over for grilled chicken kabobs, rain should be done by the afternoon to do so.

My phone/weather says the high is predicted to be 93ºF also.  But our humidity is only 64% right now.  The air temperature right now is 86ºF - so it doesn't feel too bad for this person who is accustomed to Louisiana weather.  But my neighbors here in Tennessee refer to this weather as "MUGGY"  <--- whatever that word means.

Up.  Made coffee.  Kids are preparing French toast and bacon.  We are going to watch a co-worker of mine and his wife be baptized this morning!  It’s a wonderful thing. 🙏🏼✝️

The afternoon will be spent with family.  My parents and my MIL are coming over later.  We will hang out together and enjoy each others company.  I may have a chance to shoot, weather permitting.  We have had a very gray and wet spring so far.  It’s been a bit chilly too. 

I am now off of work until Tuesday the 25th!  We are heading out to Idaho tomorrow (Silverwood).  I am so glad to have a bit of time off even though we will be busy. 

The co-worker that is getting baptized today is also the one that I have been covering shifts for at work.  He is saying that he will be coming back to work in July.  It will be nice to have a break from the OT.  We were talking the other day and he has been off work for 5 months.  So that means I have been working nearly every Friday/Saturday 16-32 hours since he has been off.  Now I know why I am so burned out.  Relief is in sight 👀👀👀

I was about to do some 10M practicing but both animals are sleeping next to my shooting position.  For some reason my cat is obsessed with the IZH 46M.   He likes to sleep next to it or drape himself over it.  It must be the smell of the oil.  I like it also but I don't plan to sleep on top of it.

Same here in TX and yes it does feel quite muggy here as well.

Well. I was back out in the Red Shed moving some more stuff round and organizing. That poor little a/c unit is doing it's best to keep up. It's cool in there but not like in the house. Keeping an osculating fan on low does help move the cool air around.
Now the Casting Cabin, on the other hand, is like stepping into a walk in cooler. I get goose bumps walking in there. And that's with the a/c on low speed and the temp knob on 6.

Church this morning then I took it easy today.
Yesterday afternoon it was stormy and 65 F
Right now it is 88 F with 60 % humidity. The Heat Index is 95F
It is supposed to break 90 F by 7:00 pm.  (maybe reach 90 to 95)
Later on tonight it is supposed to gradually cool down to 60 F.
The thunderstorms and rain return after 4:00 am.
Minnesota can see both hot and cold temps in June.
