Mornin y'all.  Yesterday was one king #*!! of a day!  I ended my day doing first aid on a woman with a broken hip and monitoring her until EMS arrived.  Helping the EMT's push the loaded gurney through the beach sand just about finished me off.  It took me an hour to clean the beach bathrooms.  They were trashed.  I got to work at 01130 yesterday morning and left at 2100 after writing up an incident report of the medical emergency.  Pretty typical summer Saturday for a park ranger.

Oh yeah, we don't get overtime.

Today is my day off.  I plan to work on getting some kind of air conditioning into the man cave/shed.  It's getting to be too hot to work out there except late at night.  The increasing heat discourages me from shooting my pumpers so it will be springers and gassers for air gun shooting today.  The Mod 95 and the ProwlFire both shoot cheap Crosman pellets well and my XS60C gobbles up cheap pellets and spits them out very accurately.  Looking at a laid back day.  If I gets to feeling ambitious I may watch the memsahib mow the yard.

Good mornin', we picked blue berries early before Ch**ch this morning. Next picking should yield a gallon.

Dan, I have 20lbs of blueberries in my freezer already and still have more to pick in a day or so. What few are left I just eat them off the bush. It's the most I have ever had since they were planted. Grapes and pears are up next. Mow the grass and finish weed eating around the house. Waiting on the resin in the stones to set, it takes about 2 hours in an oven. Tried out one of the polishing laps this morning on some stones and that was worth the expense and cuts the polishing time in half. Sitting here cooling off and it's already 91*. It's going to be a scorcher for sure.

Dan, I have 20lbs of blueberries in my freezer already and still have more to pick in a day or so. What few are left I just eat them off the bush. It's the most I have ever had since they were planted. Grapes and pears are up next. Mow the grass and finish weed eating around the house. I have a buddy in Georgia that sent me a picture of his blueberry harvest.  We still have a long way to go before the blueberries are ready to pick here.  My fig trees just started to open the leaves! 😱😂

I'm afraid the pear tree is going to have so many the limbs will break.

I have two sand pears(hard pears) that were blown over by the hurricane and this year one of them is loaded to the point it may completely uproot the entire tree.  I five pear trees 3 sand pear and 2 bartlet pear. I have 13 blueberry bushes, 5 of them I have to use a step ladder. I hate doing it but those will have to be cut back after they are done fruiting. Some of the younger cuttings I will take and root them and plant next spring.

Good Monday Morning y'all...
Up at 5 and put the coffee on. Turned on the recorded Motocross races and surfed the web some.
I'll get out there in a few and get the mowing done before the heat and humidity takes over and tries to ruin my life.
I did a bit of modification to the Plano case that I keep the Notos and all it's accessories yesterday (I cut a rib out to better fit the gun) and I left it out with plans to shoot it today. Most likely shoot out of the Red Shed north side shooting window so I can enjoy the A/C.
I need to do a bit of readjusting on the plywood that I put on the floor in the North Range shooting shack (lean to) to make it fit better but I think that will be a project for tomorrow morning before the heat of the day takes over.
But, of course, all that depends on the pesky secret squirrel.

Good morning,  it's so humid already.  When I got up at 0515 it was 77° with a 74° dew point.

I was sweating just watering the patio plants. It's oppressive feeling, hard to breathe. I was going to shoot a little this morning but drinking Folgers Black Silk under the fan was more appealing.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I slept in until about 0700, I didn’t have a dispatch for work. After my first coffee, I found I do have a dispatch for work. I guess the office came in early. I’m going to grab my second cup o’Joe and get ready to rollout. I did get to shoot some this weekend and that was very therapeutic for me.

Bitter sweet....
I was very salty when we lost the bar 1.5 acres and Nick took over the barn 1.5 acres. I eventually got past it and focused on what we have on this 1 acre +.
This morning I moved into the "Grateful Mode". We only have a little more than 1/2 acre of grass to mow. Even moreso now that I'm using the Husqvara lawn tractor instead of the zturn that went twice the speed. Especially in this heat and humidity.
It only took me 30 minutes to mow this morning where it use to take near 3 hours when I was mowing all of it on the zturn. I can also mow what we have left 3 times on a tank of gas where it took 2 tanks each time before.
All that didn't seem as bad before I retired because I actually enjoyed m owing it on the weekend. I used the time to drink a few cold ones (kept a small cooler on the mower) and reflect on the events of the prior week at work. I also planned for the next week. Mowing that area involved mostly long straight runs where what we have now is mostly zig zagging in and around obstacles so focus has little time to wander. But now I feel like I have better things to do than ride around on a mower jerking my back out of joint.
That said... the mowing is done and the wood has been adjusted better on the shooting lean to flooring.. I just need to screw it down at a seam.
No signs of the secret squirrel as of yet.
