Mornin y’all. I’m on the late shift today and tomorrow.  It’s a ten hour day no matter how you cut it.

Still beats working for a living.

Good mornin', black berries and blue berries picked, washed, and in the freezer. The figs are next in line to ripen, then the grapes and pears, and last the citrus. Still dealing with the bugs. It's almost like a cycle where every plant eating bug has come out at the same time. After lunch I will take the stones I have in a stabilizer and shove them in the oven to set the resin. Put the next batch of stones in the vacuum tank with the stabilizer and run that for the next day or so. Next mix up some dirt for the 25 gal pots to put more veggies in. May rabbit hunt this after noon, they are showing up in all my cameras. So it's time they show up in the stew pot,

Finally able to do the weed burning in the gravel in the front. It's been to windy up until today and is going to be way too 🥵 tomorrow.

 I/We have enjoyed nice weather with highs in the 80s, now the 10 Day forecast has 6 out of the next 10 days in the 90s. That's still pretty good but the heat is coming! Humidity at peak temp each day is only supposed to be between 30-35%. 

 I have kept putting off completing the mowing so, I as soon as I am done with my coffee I am going out to mow.

Just had a limb removed that broke a couple of nights ago during a storm.



During that I mowed the yard and I am *pooped*.

No more burning for awhile. There's a burn ban in affect until we get some rain. Was going to go in and get another load of water but the tanks are sitting at about 2700 to 2800 gallons. I still have around 90 gallons left in the water trailer so I guess I'll pump that in. I've got a bunch of weeds to pull up in the north east corner of the property. Have to pull them instead of weed Whacking cause they're full of seeds and I don't want the seeds spread all over the yard. I feel like the Governor in blasing saddles. Work, work, work and I don't have that pretty secretary to ease the burden.lol ☹️ lol


It was 80f this morning when I got up at 0645.🥵🥵 Today.

Rm34 from TSC is pretty good at killing everything it touches.

Prowl H2O is a preemergence weed killer, spray in April before they start.

A bunch of that here to clean up after a tornado. Power has been off and on for days with trees falling over lines. Chain sawed a big dead limb that fell and drove it to the burn pile in the woods. Was loads to haul off. Ground is mush so can't drive much on it yet. Lots to pick up still before mowing.

That's why I've been trying to burn the weeds. It kills the weed and the seed. I've got a weed burner just like this one.



That works great. Are they getting them in their ears or nose?

 He had to go under today to remove foxtails in 3 paws. Dam those things!!!!! Evil weeds. Might try and find some xl dog shoes for him.

 I had to put off the mowing again! We had a water leak under the kitchen sink at our house in town. My wife was planning to sort though some things there and discovered it today.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I slept in until nearly 0600. I’m going to get my second cup o’Joe and get ready for work. The past 3 days have been pretty good. But, I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m doing today. I’ll have to call my dispatcher around 0730, if she doesn’t call me first.

Up at 5 and made coffee. Nobody else up yet. Watched the morning news and I'm getting ready to head out to the shop.
I'm going to replace a couple more orings on the Pell Master 700 that I didn't replace the first time.
Next I think I'm going to put a couple tool kits together. One for the Casting Cabin and one for Betty Lou's utility room.
I have a Craftsman lower roller cabinet that I am considering using in the Casting shed. If I do it will replace that small folding table and I can use if for a pellet testing shooting rest. I can give Betty Lou back the folding table for her painting projects.

I've got to check the tire pressure in both trailers and both trucks plus the wife's FJ. Then I need to pump the rest of the water in the water trailer into the holding tanks. After that probably hide from the heat🥵. We'll be in triple dig today but it's suppose to start cooling off tomorrow.

Dan during the torrent I discovered wet blinds in a couple windows where the driven rain was leaking in from the frame above. Sat the fans nearby blowing everything dry. Need to get on the ladder and see where the rain is coming in and if I can silicone it.
