Going to try and burn some weeds poking up through the gravel out front. Beats the heck out of getting down on my hands and knees to pull them. That weed burner is a real blessing.😁

Mornin y’all.  I spent most of yesterday organizing my shed.  I was so happy with it I sat down at my drawing table and drew pencil and conte sketches.  i was enjoying it so much that I stayed up til four a.m. drawing.

Plans for the rest of the day include more drawing and maybe some inking.

I awoke at 4:00 AM after a short night's sleep. I finished preparing for Church, helped my oldest daughter, 3 granddaughters and two great grandsons load up to get back on the road towards Idaho and then had our morning Church services. Now I am thinking about a power nap since I feel tired for some reason^?  , and the house is nice and quiet again.

Well, so much for burning weeds. The wind is just to unpredictable 🤬🤬🤬 so I put it away and grabbed the weed Whacker. 🥵🥵 Just ran out of string in the spool so decided to take a little break. I've got the bulk string sitting in a bucket of water which helps it not be brittle.

Good morning, today is get the fangs cleaned then Wednesday I go back in to get a crown replaced since it won't stay on the post. Check the mail, pick up a few things in town, come home and clean up the mess from yesterday's weather. Checked the rain gauge it has 3.60 inches in it. So I had standing water all over the place hopefully this morning it is gone. I needed the rain but not the flooding.

I feel for you Kris. We haven't the extreme weather events that so much of the country had this spring. I'm hearing that the hurricane season may be pretty active this year but they said the same thing last year.

As you know Texas was hit hard this spring as many other where blasted with deadly tornadoes. I haven't heard you talk about any flooding this year.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I made it through the weekend without 1 single call to go out to work. I slept in until 0600 and I’m having my second cup o’Joe. I’ll need to call the office to see what I’m doing today. On the way out to work, I have new door gaskets for the 2 door refrigerator at my Church to install.

 I got to bed at 12:30 AM and woke at 6 AM, NICE no crying baby at all in the night. I love seeing the kids and grandkids from out of state but the trade off of peace and quiet can be rough. We have become quite used to the empty nest!

 The 2 year old was constantly into something and ain't afraid of no "time out"!  He got swats on the behind from Grammy and Papa for acts of rebellion and was having a quick notable change to compliant and apologetic behavior, so much so his parents were surprised at how effective it was. I firmly believe kids should not be punished at all for things they haven't be taught not to do, but that acts of rebellion should have a proportional stinging consequence.

More weed Whacking today. We're expecting triple digit temps Thursday and Friday and maybe even as early as Wed. After all it is June and it's suppose to be our hottest month. Just wondering what our monsoons will be like this summer? First year here was a very dry HOT summer then the next year it was a goodin with lots of rain. Our stock ponds are almost empty so I don't know what the rancher is going to do.

I had the flooding from January to March this year and started to dry out in April. All ready watching the tropic long before the official start of the season. In 2018, a small blow came in around Horseshoe Beach in mid May. Then in October the Cat 5 came blasting through. Yep, it's the wait and see season again.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! (I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday)… I got up around 0500 and I’m finishing up my second cup o’Joe. I need to go back to the last job I was at yesterday. It started pouring down rain and I couldn’t get their last air conditioning system going in the rain. They’ve got 4 split systems and I got some work done on the last one, but it quit just as the rain was starting. Maybe the condenser fan’s not working, but I couldn’t catch it running at all when I went to check it. It got dark and was going to rain for at least another 3 hours. There’s a little bit of a thunderstorm this morning, but it’ll be gone by the time I get to work.
