Morning...
Had such a great time shooting the NoDoze from the North Range shootin' deck yesterday that I think I'll do it some more today.
First I need to get out there and do some clean up. It's such a wild and untamed area and the weeds and off shoots from tree stumps are trying to reclaim it.
Betty Lou said something yesterday that really grabbed my attention. I was getting something out of her She Shed and she said that she don't even know why she needs a She Shed.. she does not garden and it's basically a yard tool shed. I mentioned that it would make a great pellet casting shack. I couldn't believe my ears when she said "Go for it".
I would definitely need a window a/c unit and some source of heat for the cold months. It's already wired with it's own 30amp breaker out of the main box on the pole. It has lights and outlets and a great work bench.
There is a window for an a/c unit and I have a spare wall mount propane heater that I can plumb to an outdoor 20# bottle.
I could definitely use the extra space in the Red Shed.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! I got up around 0500, had coffee and got Ayrabella on the bus for school. Other than that, it’s thunderstorming here and just keeping an eye on Andi, my wife. She had a real bad seizure yesterday afternoon and got rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, Ayrabella was home and was a real superhero for her mom. A Sheriff’s Deputy waited with Ayrabella until I got home and that was so great. Everyone feared it was a stroke, she had a small stroke about 12-13 years ago. MRI and doctors said no stroke and she’ll recover. Her stroke symptoms were called Todd’s syndrome/paralysis. So, I’m just hanging out at home while she’s resting.

What did they do for the screening? I'm suppose to go in for a pet scan but I could already tell them I have 8 pets including a cat. 🤷

Betty Lou green lighted a window a/c unit for the new Casting Shack so we went and picked one up at the local discount joint. We got  6000 btu GE refurb unit for $137. We also stopped at the local grocer and grabbed deli sliced ham and everything bagels for lunch sandwiches. (those were awesome lightly toasted)
I spent the morning relocating Casting Corner to the 8 x 10 climate controlled Casting Shack. Let me just say, a 6000 btu a/c unit turns an 8 x 10 insulated building into a walk in freezer.

Congrats Wendell, I have been doing the every 6 months since my round of it. Clean and green so far.

What did they do for the screening? I'm suppose to go in for a pet scan but I could already tell them I have 8 pets including a cat. 🤷

 Robert, my screening is blood work in full force, they have new test now that look for certain markers. CRP(C-Reactive Protein test) is the one they watch on me because of the PsA(psoriatic arthritis).  I just recently went to dermatologist to have a spot removed of my face, it came back benign. I go back in a few weeks, if nothing else is found then that will be it until I feel I need to go back. Cancer runs in my family and I am the one with the luck of the draw. PsA shows up in so many generations and the cancer comes with the package. The reason I don't go to a rheumatologist is because of the run around cr@p they start and unnecessary exams and tests that just about drain your finances dry. I have done research and found ways to maintain a healthy life without the unnecessary drugs that do more damage than help.

Thanks Kris. I just had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and I believe my PSA(?) was normal. Cancer doesn't run in my family even though my son had melanoma. His was caused by exposure to depleted uranium rounds in the Bradley fighting vehicle him and his team had to sleep in when deployed to Bosnia. He was part of the second UN peace keeping deployment. His place to sleep was on the depleted ammo storage.

Rolled out at 4:30 and made coffee. Just been chillin, watching the news and surfing since. Nobody else is up and around yet.
Getting ready to hit the shower and head out to the Casting Shack. The plan is to fire it up for it's maiden casting session. I still have a bit of organizing to do while things are coming up to temp.
It's already 72 and humid here this morning and heading to the low 90s so that a/c will be a blessing.. especially in the small space with the pot and mold oven running.

If you do not have icicles from the A/C you can install a CoolBot, it over rides you A/C controls and makes it a refrigeration unit. We did one at work for apple and caramel overflow from the large cooler, it gets the temps down to 35 degrees.
