It's a beautiful day today.
I left a trot line stretched across one of my neighbors fishponds last night. He wants to seriously reduce the catfish population and restock with shad which he wants to cultivate for Bass bait. I'm happy to get the catfish. When I checked the line this a.m. it had four nice ones over twelve inches and a couple of smaller keepers. I skin them and freeze them in a ziplock with water. I try and stock the freezer this time of year with as many as I can catch.

Bill it looks like Rambo is watching that killer mocking bird out there close by like he'll bolt and leave boss to defend herself if he has to.
The engine pulley on the 17yr old mower broke so I lifted the mower with the tractor and got the PTO clutch off by hand without having to do any impacting surprisingly but the engine pulley just won't budge despite all the usual tricks. Maybe I could cut it off with the dremel saw. If not then off to the shop it goes where they can put the new pulley on once they get the old one off.

I got the old pulley partly off with pullers then the rest of the way off with a C clamp attached to it while hammering a pry bar that was inside the clamp. New pulley installed and I got the yard mowed. A country boy can survive!

QuoteThat saw mill blade is HEAVY. I had to put a 2x6 backing board on the inside of the fencing for it. Killer's sister painted that and paints scenery on all sorts of stuff like that. There is a 2 man buck saw she painted in the bar.Oh, it's painted. I thought that was a reflection at first. Ron

I see what you were thinking, Ron. But, that scene looks like Oregon, or Tennessee… Bill’s in L.A… Lower Alabama!
