Just got done getting 1000 gallons of water and pumping it into the holding tanks. Now I've got to do a run to the transfer station aka the dump. The dirt road is pretty good but we're suppose to get around .15 inches of rain tomorrow I don't want to have to drive through that slop if I don't have to. I know that's not much compared to what most get but it really messes up the road here. When I lived in the high desert of SoCal I'd be a very happy camper to get rain but that's mostly sand.

They graveled and graded our road a couple days ago. They also scooped out the ditch line. It really don't make no nevermind to me any more. Our driveway is only about 75 yards to the hard road since we moved here to Killer's old place. And I no longer have any reason to turn right.  Heck, my truck even stays clean longer.

Brett I make coffee at home and bring it in a thermos if I want more on the road. Places like that to me are just totally nonexistent other than seeing them as I drive by. Besides I really like my coffee. A bit of maple syrup and a little chocolate milk added make a wonderful cup and it doesn't cost me anywhere near $10 or whatever starbucks type places are charging these days.

John did you climb the tree to make the cuts or have someone lift you in the loader? A lot of experienced people have cut trees expecting them to fall in the direction they planned only to find them falling onto fences, houses ect so good choice cutting it that way.

I climbed it, Gil. I wish I had taken pictures of the tree as she stood, before I started. All cleaned up, yesterday. My son-in-law helped me pickup about a 3rd of it yesterday. That helped me get it all done before the day ended. And I have a pile of logs to split, when I have time.

Nice work John!  Very satisfying to knock out a project at home.

Finished building the spring compressor took the innards out of my Diana 350, gonna call Vortek today and see if I can pick up the new mainspring and seal at the shop, he only lives 90 miles from me👍

I got up at 3:37 AM but was able to go back to bed at 5ish and sleep until 7:38 AM
I continue to feel better and think I will be over it completely soon.

Plans, to see my son before he is on the road back home to Missouri again. We also have Bible Study tonight, no other plans.

The weather, it is 57°F today with a few more showers. We just got an inch and one eighth this storm system which brings the total so far this season to about 13 inches in my backyard.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday!!! I got up at 0452 this morning and have had my coffee. I don’t have a job on me for today, actually- I’ve only worked 8 hours this week and that was on Tuesday. But, I’ve gotten a lot done around here at home with the nice weather we’ve been having. But, I need a paycheck. So, I put in for a paid personal day today and a paid vacation day for tomorrow. I’m going to get Ayrabella on the bus for school and see if I can get a load of scrap metal on the trailer for a run for some cash. Win-Win.

I was up and down about every 2 hours all night. Just restless I reckon. I got some good sleep on the last stretch from 1am until 5am.
Had coffee and watched a couple episodes of Barnwood Builders.
Weather is supposed to be sunny and mid 70s today so I'm gettin ready to head out and start on clearing the new shootin lane through the woods. I think the target will be right near 50 yards for the shootin window in the Red Shed and it will sit just a few feet from the atv trail I cut through the woods.
I got a pile of brush I need to move first thing. One tool I'll carry will be Willie G. Stubbs. With the temps warming up the snakes are gonna start crawling soon.

Up @ 0415.  Hit the gym at work, showered.  Started up the work truck and it’s warming up.  Have my packet of work for the day.  Hoping to pass it off to a couple jr. lineman and I’ll just chill.  Working another 32 hours in a row again starting tomorrow afternoon.

I've watched many episodes. It does get a bit redundant after awhile. But I still like watching them. I know many of the areas that they find and rebuild them. I find that interesting to watch to see if I recognize anything.

 My plans went from finishing taking down a large dead ash tree, to I have to put down our 28 year old Highland cow, she has had a rough couple of winters, and was really beginning to suffer through this one. Here are her 2 replacements Honey up front and Basil off eating in the background. RIP Ginger.  :'(

One of my neighbors had a few of those highland cows.    There was something about them that makes them seem ancient and gentle.   We loved seeing them when we drove by.  Unfortunately they were sold off.  Hopefully to another recreational farm and not a slaughterhouse.

Nice to have some days at home isn’t it?

 I have taken a lot of time off recently but I don’t feel refreshed and I’m definitely not catching up on my “TO DO” list.  I think I’m going to have to get serious here but as of now, we have a lineman out temporarily filling in as a coordinator and we just had another lineman get hurt falling off a ladder at work.  We also have another lineman that is burning their time getting ready for retirement so that means that there are a lot of shifts that need to be filled.  We are a small group of twelve that run 24 hours a day.  Federal laws dictate that we have this coverage so these shifts must get filled.  So that means my projects at home are going to be delayed longer than I was hoping.  I’m already behind.  I may have to start to see if I can find some people to hire to help me keep up if I can afford to pat their prices.

Those are cute creatures.  I’m NOT going to show my wife because she will want one and I’ll never hear the end of it.  She has wanted a mini donkey for many years and I’ve dodged that one so far. 😆😆🤠
