Actually sick today.  I was feeling it last Friday.  Just stayed low grade through the weekend.  Last night during the lecture at Bible study the tickle in my throat started and I had to concentrate to not cough.  Had a restless night coughing (not real bad) but felt fine everywhere else.  Same thing this morning when it was time to get up to head into work.  Felt fine just have a cough.  In consideration for my partner and coworkers I called out sick so I don’t contaminate them.  I really want to get better because this weekend is our Arizona trip and I do not want to be sick while travelling.

So, I slept in this morning until about 8.  My daughter offered me a cappuccino so I sipped on that and now I’m here just taking it easy, surfing the web, trying to figure out what I should/could do today without getting too involved in anything.

Went to the clinic for the follow- up on my finger.
He was impressed with my healing but gave me another tongue lashing on my 201/118 BP.

I hope and pray you fellas get better and heal quickly.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday, it’s Hump-Day! I got up just before 0400 and shut off my 0430 alarm. Started my coffee and I’m just now finishing up my second cup o’Joe. I have my 0600 meeting, but I’ve got to head out a little early today for that. One-third of us is in India, so we’re meeting at a McDonald’s in town. After that, I’ll have to wait to call the office to see if they’ve got any work for me today.

I was up at 3:30 and the dogs rolled out at around 4:30. They ate and went out. When they came in Rambo slipped back into the bedroom and went back to sleep. Boss, not so much... she went back there screaming and hollering at Betty Lou. I just knew that was going to translate into a my fault scenario so I went back to get her out of there and ended up making more noise than she was. Let's just say that I might not have much to contribute to the "what ya eating" thread today. 
Plan for today is just more of the same... puttering around in the shop and tinkering with the Uberex NoDoze.

Good morning, finish patching up the new roof of the shed and get it painted before the next rain. Do a mail run and get fuel for the tractor. Not much else to do in the yard without rutting it up.

Still have a cough so I’m home another day.  Feel fine except for that and the sore throat that comes from a cough.  Well, I guess I kinda feel it im my upper chest but not much, not like a full blown cold with the head congestion and all that.  Sipping coffee currently 0530 my time. 

Not too much of a plan today.  I think Christopher wants to go to my parents place and work on the truck some.  We took my truck and the wheel barrow to the trail yesterday evening and pulled maple logs out of the park.  I want to make some kuksas and it was free wood so we grabbed it.  Brought it home and pressure washed the mud and moss off.  It should be easier/cleaner to deal with now.  I may start busting up some blanks today, we shall see. 

For the moment I’ll just sit here in the peace and quiet of the morning sipping coffee.

Mornin y'all!  Up at the crack of noon!  I'm off today and my inclination is to crawl back in the sack with La Esposa.  But the dogs want a run, I've got a recently vacated rental house to renovate, the memsahib needs to see her GP, and of course I intend to spend some time today shooting BB guns.  Don't know how much of that I will address today but we'll just take it as it is.

Just got back from working on the rental.  It's a mess.  Lots of holes in the walls.  Evidence of some serious DV.  We do our best to vet our renters but even keeping the rents high doesn't weed out the trash.

So the memsahib and I are making a run to homeless depot tonight for sheetrock, lumber, paint, and a new front door.

Robert, around here you can jack up the rent and deposit and the place is still trashed. Vacation rentals take the biggest destruction, some places won't rent unless you are over 50 and no children or teenagers. Spring break has caused most of it. Most people around here are turning to RV rental spots, less damage control and upkeep. A few years ago and few counties over, the po po raided a house that alcohol was stacked to the ceiling and total destruction of the house in the process. The brat rented the place under mommy and daddy's name and used the parents credit card to rent.

This house is a nice one but it's pretty rural and it's down a long unpaved road at an old fish camp.  So it doesn't appeal to a lot of folks.  I just fired our property management company and I'm taking over renting and maintaining all of my parent's property.  I can be patient and wait a couple of months to rent this place to the right people.  The management company just wanted to get someone into it so they could collect their commission which is the first months rent.  Kris description of the real estate situation here is spot on. 

I grew up maintaining my parents rentals and I even spent two summers as a maintenance man at a huge federal housing project.  This stuff is small potatoes.  We will keep the security deposit and sell the furniture they left us on Craig's List (The finance company hasn't showed up to repo it yet).  We went to town and got all the supplies we need for the repairs and we stopped at our favorite Mexican place for dinner.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I almost got up at 0350, but dozed back off until nearly 0450. I’m having some coffee until I need to get Ayrabella up for school. After I get her on the bus, I have 2 jobs on me for today. A Harbor Freight preventative maintenance and then I got that part for the wall cooler in a restaurant that I worked on Monday. I wound up not working yesterday, so today should be a good day.

Just cleaning in the house. Suppose to get 2-4 inches of snow and it's coming down pretty bad right now. We did a top to bottom cleaning of kitchen yesterday. No cleaning on the floor as with 7 dogs it would be useless.

Good morning, the land of flood is starting dry out some but it won't last long with more rain coming this weekend. Finish pruning fruit trees and prepare planting spots for the new ones to be planted in. Continue the shed roof repair project, the tin is down, now it's patch and paint it to keep the rust to a minimum. The tin is recycle hurricane damaged tin so it's going to have a few holes in it from where it was screwed down.

Fresh cut wood is a nice smell.  I didn’t notice the maple so much yesterday though.  I do have a cold 🤧

December of 2022 we had two large trees taken out.  One was a pine and the other was Redwood.  We split and stacked those trees.  The yard smelled nice for a year because of the wood.  🪵

Been dealing with a cold/cough all week.  I feel fine except the cough has gotten worse, not better.  It seems to be getting better today.  We are leaving for AZ tomorrow morning.  The idea was to get away from the gray and wet and into some sunny, warmer weather.  NOT this weekend 🙄🙄🙄
