Woke up to 12f this morning which is warmer than yesterday morning. Suppose to have a high of 44 today. Don't think it got much above freezing yesterday but at least half of the snow ❄️ melted but snow likely Thru then again on Sunday.

Already shoveled 4-5 in wet heavy snow off both decks.
Probably spend most of the day, every hour or so, keeping them mostly cleared.

The main line has passed, some hail. Still have roof, lot of damage in surrounding areas. I'm flooded again. No electricity right now. Yes, nerves are fraid some. I will probably sleep the rest of the day now that this is over.

The front edge just passed over us.  I gave Flash a gabapentin about four hours ago and he's worried but not freaking out.  It was pretty hairy there for a few minutes but the sharp edge has passed and we're just getting torrential rain now.  The Boss called early this a.m. and told me to come in to work after twelve.  He closed the park until the storm passes.  Looks like we're gonna be fine down here.  Hope the rest of y'all come through this okay.

Working the late shift at the park today but for some reason I don't think it's going to be terribly busy.

It's pretty much all fizzled out now. I even see the sun trying to poke through. Temps have dropped to 54 as predicted. I see a few small dead branches and sticks on the ground but no damage. We heard a couple small ones hit the roof but nothing to be concerned over. I'll get up there in the Spring and clean it all off.

Just got the power back on in the last hour, only got 1.5 inches of rain but it was enough to flood up the yard again. Checked in with family and friends, everybody is okay and not homeless. Hopefully I will be able to get to the skin doc in the morning, some places between here and there got whacked pretty good. I did go lay back down while the power was out, needed that for sure.

Hopefully I will be able to get to the skin doc in the morning, some places between here and there got whacked pretty good. I did go lay back down while the power was out, needed that for sure.

I’m glad to hear you’re OK, Kris. From what I saw in the weather news, it got pretty bad. We have some more winter weather coming, what happens with it after it blows through here over the next several days, I’m not sure. Hang in there.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! I woke up just after 0400. I had my alarm set for 0430, I shut it off and started my coffee. I’ve forgotten to shut off my alarm sometimes, when I get up earlier than my alarm. My wife really does not like when I do that. I made sure twice that I shut it off, before I got my first cup o’Joe. I got parts yesterday, so I have a job on me to start the day. I’m going to my Wednesday morning meeting at 0600 and I’ll head to work from there. First job is a new condenser fan motor for a cooler.

I’m glad to hear you’re OK, Kris. From what I saw in the weather news, it got pretty bad. We have some more winter weather coming, what happens with it after it blows through here over the next several days, I’m not sure. Hang in there.

Thanks John, the closest one was 25 miles away from me, I did get an alert on the cell phone to run for cover. The hardest part is waiting to see if you are going to scraped off the earth when those go off.

Yeah, hurricane warning give you time to decide what to salvage before you leave, tornado warnings are like where in the h3ll do you hide and still have all your body parts and sanity intact when it's over.

Showered, dressed and getting ready to head out to the Red Shed Shootin' Shack to see what I can get into today. Betty Lou mentioned mentioned needing a small bag of dogfood to get them through until the bulk run next week so I expect the call for a store run today.

 Do some snow blowing at home then head to work rinse repeat, but with snow plows instead, after that might as well cut another load of firewood as they predict winter  to arrive soon.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I got up at 0430 and have had one cup o’Joe already. After my next cup, I’m going to get ready for work. I need to find a drain tube heater for a freezer that’s about 2 hours south of me. I should have one in my van. I just want to make sure I put my hands on one before the drive. I’ll put Ayrabella on the bus before I head out and let my wife sleep in. She’s going to get the grocery shopping done today because we might get some snow tomorrow morning.

Betty Lou and I both heard Rambo playing reveille at 4:30 this morning and I told her I would get up. He and Boss ate and went outside while the coffee was brewing. They came back in and I got coffee and turned on the morning news.
I picked up a couple NIB 4' 4 bulb fluorescent fixtures for $10 each. The owner said she has bulbs I could have free but they were at her house and she would get them and call me. I got a text saying they would be at the store today for pickup.
I got both fixtures wired and one hung yesterday. I'll get the other hung this morning then go pick up the bulbs. I wired them with plug in cords so I can move them easily later if I choose. They will be plugged into the switched outlets that run from the main light switch near the door.
I took down some 2' LED lights I had hung to put these up. Those LED lights will be moved over the work benches and replace some clamp on fixtures I have over them now.
Once the lighting projects is done I'll most likely be inspired to do a clean up. I have a bad habit of doing a project and leaving the clean up for later. Before your know it I have the work benches covered with tools and droppings.
Then maybe I can get back to some airgun related stuff.
Temps are supposed to be mid 60s today with no rain.

I had a deer skinning hoist hung in the Red Shed. I don't hunt, kill or skin deer. I used it for lifting the atvs and mower for tire and blade changing. I took that down because it was also in the way of hanging the new lights. I have a new location picked to rehang it so I may also get that done today.
