Funny thing is I don't feel old! Now traditionally I go hunting/gathering on this day every year. So the truck is loaded with air rifles, cast nets, crab pots (and maybe surf rods) and I'm going straight to heII. Tate's HeII that is.

The battery voltage is way down and it's overcast. Besides, the wife's coming home today so I need to clean house. When I woke up today the house was freezing! I turned the thermostat down to 67 and it decided to not turn on at all all last night. Oh and here's a picture of the elk my SIL shot. He used a 6.8 Western.

Happy Birthday Carter.Well, the Troy shopping trip is done. Seems like that trip is longer and longer each time. Breakfast at Miss Julia's Buffet and shopping included the trip takes 4 hours. By the time we get home, pack in the groceries and put stuff away we are plumb worn out. Today was especially messed due to all the holiday shoppers. We didn't figure on that being a Wednesday morning.Friday morning we make another run to the local grocers to get the stuff from the Friday and Saturday sales ad.Betty Lou picked up 14lb ham for Christmas dinner and several meals she has planned with the leftover. I picked up a handheld label maker for marking the contents of drawers and containers in the Red Shed. It gets real old looking in every nook and cranny for something and ultimately forgetting what I was even looking for. The nut, bolt, washer and misc drawer bins are the worse. I have 4 sets of them and it seems like I pull out every one of them before I find what I am looking for.

Mornin y'all. Today I'm taking Belle to the vet to get spayed. I'm dropping her off at 7:30 and I don't pick her up til after 3:30. So I'm headed to the national forest once I drop her off. Hopefully I'll get to hunt all day!
