Up @ 0700.  Ran Bella outside off leash again this morning.  She loves retrieving her rubber chew stick.  Came back in and made coffee.  Tried the perc on the stovetop.  Boiled over.  Started over with coarser grounds.  It helped but still threatened boiling over.  I’ll master it soon.  Main problem is consistent grind size.  I’ll look to remedy that. 

Piddled around some at the house, not much to report really.  I knew that I was starting work early today so I didn’t get too involved in anything.  I’m there (work) now.  I’m sitting on a heating pad, feet up on the desk, music playing.  Just chillin on standby… dry, rested and ready to respond.  I hope it’s a quiet shift.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I got up at 0500 and I’m on my second cup o’Joe. We’ve missed Sunday school so much and the class we were doing is probably nearly over. So, we’re going to head into Church just before 1000 hrs. We had a great Barn Meeting last night, a lot of great food and fellowship. This afternoon we have small group, I’ll probably get a nap in before that.

Good Morning! I would say I am doing pretty well now. The last couple of days I have been catching up with things I let go while sick. Today I was awake at 3:45 and got up at 4:00 AM.


 We will have Sunday School and Ch**ch today.


  It is a chilly morning and I went out and picked up all the dog poop "briskly". Burr, I probably should have wore a jacket but didn't. It felt pretty good though for the time I was out there.

Yeah, it's kinda not what you would think.
1 TBSP of perk grind coffee per cup on water.
Start the brew at medium heat until the first perk then turn it down to low heat. You'll want it to only perk with 1 - 2 seconds between perks. Perk between 7 and 10 minutes. Then pull the basket out and leave it on low heat to keep the coffee hot.
I was surprised at the medium and low settings.

22 out right now. Just finished feeding the goats and the horses aka great daines. Burr it's cold 🥶🥶! Like a fool I didn't wear my work gloves so my hands are froze.

Steady slow rain that looks like it will continue throughout the day. Fortunately the gas grill is under cover so we can carry out our plans for grilled chicken quarters and corn on the cob.
Probably a football on TV kinda day.

Flooded again, it started about 4 a.m. this morning and still coming down in buckets. Probably have another 3" of rain in the gauge. Waiting for it to clear out and do flood damage assessment on the yard. I will have to wade to the shop later on to finish some small woodworking stuff. This keeps up the rest of the winter and the chicken's pens will be on pontoons or high rise condos.

Yes, that’s pretty much how I am doing it.  Last adjustment was to remove the paper filter.  Problem solved!  The paper was slowing the drip too much and that is why it boiled over.

Woke up @0520.  Told myself to doze until 0600.  I woke up again @0700.  Got up and dressed, started making espresso and perc coffee on the stove.  Ran Bella outside for a bit.  Came in and Mrs P was getting up.  Now we have had our morning coffee/conversation time.  Heading to SS and church here soon.  Not sure if there is a plan this afternoon or not.  Usually not.  Gonna go start the van to warm it up and water the dog before we head out.
