It's a cool 41 out right now and supposed to get up close to 60. Sun and no rain is expected.
As I posted in another thread, I think I'm going to go in the wooed area of the property and put together a natural blind to overlook the swamp pond and also have sight to the trees.

Our 12 year old shepherd gave us a fright this morning. I was calling for her and calling for her and no rainy. Went and looked at all of the places she goes and no rainy. Finally had to come in and get dressed as I was just in my night clothes and was getting pretty cold. Got dressed,put on a coat and started combining the yard. We have 5 acres fenced but there's a lot of trees and I had to search through it all. Walked around  .6 miles just looking for her when I hear a noise right behind me. There she is following me 😂😂.  We're very afraid she'll fall and not be able to get up.

Bill if there's a good tree to sit in those are great blinds too. Sometimes you have to screw in a board to sit comfortably on with a pad but it's a great option since critters don't look for predators in trees. You can bait right by the tree then kill critters right under you.

Dan I had similar pain after much coughing from bronchitis recently and was very glad to finally be rid of that and the flu I had with it as well.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I got up just before 0530 and I’m having coffee and getting ready for work. I need to get Ayrabella off to school and then go fix a freezer that needs a new temperature control. It got one replaced recently by someone else, but they didn’t wire it right. It’s supposed to get fairly warm today, but it’s supposed to be windy.
I’m still praying for you to get well, Dan, and you too Matt.

Got up around 4:30 and took care of the dogs as usual. Sat down with coffee, news and GTA. As daylight crept in I noticed something strange on the cameras. Wait, is that snow? The ground outside was completely white. I had to go outside and see this with my own eyes. Turns out it was a layer of frost. The sun is out now and it's all gone.

Good morning, first thing round up the chickens that the dog turned loose this morning. The moron decided that a 25lb dog feeder full of food wasn't good enough he would rather eat loose eggs and chicken food instead. He doesn't eat the chickens just the eggs, so I have to dog proof that chicken pen first thing this morning. I had moved the pen during the flooding and didn't secure it enough, no biggie. Then load everybody's feeders including his and the other partner in crime dog. Then its playing with the air guns today since the shooting lanes have dried out now. O-rings are in for Hercules, so hopefully I have found the right ones and no I am not dealing Hatsan right now, the gun was a refurb from Field Supply, I don't mind the Russian roulette game right now, I find it challenging. Some of the reloading supplies have come in so I will get that going as well. Cast some more ammo for the Hammer and Hercules.

 Good morning! I have been up since 3:11 AM. While I continue to improve when I cough now I have a severe pain at the center end of my lowest right rib. It is the reason for getting up that early because while laying down coughs were too frequent. I feel like I just about coughed up that rib. It is very tender to the touch now too. Since it first started getting sore I made sure to support it when I had to cough.

Overall I would say I am almost well again, just some lingering sinus and bronchial congestion that is manifesting as a slight headache and occasional coughs. I have an appetite and energy, I think I feel 90% better than I did at worst of it, as long as I don't cough...   

This to will pass.

I got the memsahib off on her drive Texas.  She will stop at every Buck-ee's between Pensacloa and San Antone.  She will return with a load of Briskit, Sausage, and Jerky.  Looking forward to it.

Up @0437.  I turned off my phone alarm yesterday morning and forgot so I slept over 7 minutes this morning.  Made the commute (34 miles) to work.  Made a cup of coffee and chilled until start time.  Picked up the jobs, routed the work and enjoying a second cup for the day and getting briefed on the usual mumbo-jumbo related to work.  Gonna go hit it here soon. 

My partner has a half day today and I needed to leave 1.5 hrs early for an appointment so we will get work completed then jet out. 

Tonight we are going to enjoy steak for dinner, maybe a holiday dessert and supposed to watch a Christmas movie.  If I can keep my eyelids open long enough Mrs. P and I are going to huddle up in our bed around the iPad and watch another movie in seclusion.  I’m already looking forward to teach the dog how to make coffee in the morning.  I already told her that it will be our thing to make coffee together on my late days.  She seemed to understand. 😜

Made the commute home.  Just ate lunch (chili and deviled eggs).  Waiting until time to go get the car serviced.  I may take off now and go look for a pet gate to section off the room that Bella will have access to.  We have found out that she thinks the cat is fair game around here… not good. 

Plans are still as stated above for the rest of the evening so far. ^^^^^ I see fudge cooling in the refer.  😎

Sorry to hear that.

My Guys, Rusty the dog & Elvis the cat were best friends from day one when we brought the dog home.

The cat was fully mature and the dog was a puppy.

The cat basically adopted the dog but set his boundaries.

The cat still calls the shots....well at least he tries to.

The dog tries to share his chew toys and play tug with the cat.

The cat just isn't into tug.

Bill you can always build a elevated stand too with stairs. I used to hunt in one welded to a pickup trailer that I could tow anywhere on the property. Not expensive to make compared to buying one prefabbed without the trailer if you have it and the materials.

I feel a lot better than I did this morning, I took a few short Chair naps today. The rib pain is reduced from squint, grimace, AGHH! to just ouch now, I am a little confused about that much decline and improvement but, I'll take it! I even went grocery shopping and cleaned the house. My energy is UP, in fact really high. I guess doing nothing for a week was needed.
