I'll be spending the day alone outside getting some things done while the weather is nice. It's 43°F and clear and supposed to get to 81°F today. We are predicted to have some rain next Wednesday through Saturday and I have some things to sort out and get put away first.

Mornin ya'll!  Up with the pups this a.m.  I took everyone for a long ramble around my permission.  I carried the C362 mostly because the dogs expect me to.  Flash treed a couple of squirrels but I didn't shoot them as I have resolved to leave the permission alone until the squirrels start to get wary in the Public WMA.
Back to the park today after being absent on leave or away at a training for almost two weeks.  I'm in the ranger station all day which y'all know I hate but I'll make the best of it.  Tomorrow I'm on the late shift which means I can go hunting in the morning!

Well, took another crack at the crosman 38T. I tightened the compression fits so we'll see tomorrow if it held. The article that BB pelter had made putting it back together much simpler. I'll stick with my springers and PCPs. Much easier to work on, at least for me. 🤞🤞🤞

One of my 38T's copper tubing was cracked, I fixed it by soldering it with silver solder and it has held ever since!

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! It’s back to the grind for me, the past couple weeks have been just too stressful for me. I got up at 0530 and I’m on my second cup o’Joe. I’ll have to get ready for work and call the office. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice all week.

Up at 4:45 this morning. I actually woke up before the dogs but Rambo followed me out of the bedroom. Boss slept on one of the dog beds in the living room. Rambo went right to the food bowl but Boss wanted out first. When she came back in she grabbed her rope toy and headed to the bedroom to annoy Betty Lou. They are all back to sleep now.
The plan is to finish up the gate project and maybe begin the route planning for the trail through the woods to the barn area. Not sure how far I will get because rain is moving in for the next few days.
Tomorrow is bulk grocery shopping day in the big city so I'm sure Betty Lou will be refining her list to include Thanksgiving fixins.
My Birthday is Sunday and she signed off on the funds to convert one of the Xisico Sentry HC Deluxes from .25 to .22. Mike Mellick at Flying Dragon already has the parts picked out and ready to ship as soon as I drop the coin.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I slept in until nearly 0630. I guess I needed the sleep. I have a computer board to pickup that goes in an AC unit on a roof at the mall. The part’s house opens at 0800 and the job site opens at 1000 hrs. So, I’m not in a rush. I’m on my second cup o’Joe and I’ll get ready.

Happy Birthday Bill, it should cool and sunny on Sunday so you can enjoy the day outside. I have rain moving in this morning so it will be indoor projects for me. I need to take a break from the outside stuff. Just finished checking traps, I had a coon kill a chicken in broad daylight yesterday and attempted to kill others while I was working in the yard. I trapped out a bunch a few years ago and never had anymore problems until now. So it's time again.

Birthdays are another one of those holidays that I just kinda let pass quietly into the night. I can't remember the last birthday cake I had. I'm sure Betty Lou has made a few over the years.

I'm up and the weather looks to be conducive to some air gun shooting later in the day.  I'm also gonna try to poison moles that are absolutely ruining our yard.

Hooked up the 1000 gallon water trailer last night and going to run in and get a load. Expecting rain starting tomorrow night through Sunday so don't want to take the chance the roads will get real muddy and we're down a 1000 in our storage tanks that feed the house. That will kill half the day.😡 It's only 25 miles round trip but 11 of that is 5 mph or less. Already had to have 2 springs replaced on the front axle.

It's so close to Thanksgiving that I tell Betty Lou to focus on that meal. She likes to go all out on Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Matter of fact, she's working on her Thanksgiving meal shopping list right now. We eat leftovers for a week after those meals.
