Sweet John now that's good service! I need to find a better shop. Very friendly people just takes forever to get your tractor or mower back. They had my mower for 15 months to replace a engine! I know supply shutdowns contribute to the delay but that's way too long regardless.

Yeah, 15 months is crazy. Even if you have a backup mower, which I don’t. I had a lot more work planned when I had brought my tractor in, and that put the kabash on that for 2 weeks. I couldn’t imagine being down for over a year.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I got up at 0500 and started my coffee. I’m going to visit my chiropractor this morning on my way into work. My chiropractor was out last week. Then I have an hour and a half ride to a freezer that needs the electric defrost elements replaced. I sure hope there’s no ice to deal with, I didn’t write this job up.

I was also up at 5am. Rambo got up, ate and went out but Boss and Betty Lou have yet to stir.
I haven't made any plans for the weekend yet. I know Betty Lou and I talked about maybe going to one of the atv parks for a day ride but nothing planned. We'll see when she gets up. I know it is perfect weather for it and the trails will be good and dry so we would be able to ride all of them.

Good morning GTA, I got up at 5:15 AM, I will spend the morning in my backyard getting ready for rain. I am sorting though stuff that I have saved over the years to get rid of most of it. I started the sorting about a year ago as I have had time and temps I want to work in, that has made it a very slow process with a lot of repetition. So does Adult Attention Deficit Disorder,  .  Honestly I think/know I am going to have to change tactics because, I have been doing more organizing and fixing than eliminating and it needs to be the other way around.


  I is SO hard for me to get rid of "good stuff", but if I am EVER going to escape CA I need to get this part done!
  I need to FOCUS and ask myself one simple question on each item, "are you going to move this item when the time comes or not?"


 Interruption - I just almost just got a rabbit I saw om my security monitor, I would have gotten it but, forgot I put a dust cover on my scope and it ran off to the brush cover too quickly.


  Now, retroceding to where I was, I need my stored cache "goods" to go away, and it is a struggle that is in great conflict with my very being. I may have to/need to, recreate myself or just create a minimalist Alter Ego and let him at it...


  Coffee is done and it is supposed to get to 97°F today, so the clock is ticking on my comfortable time out there, see ya later on... I will probably quit about noon!

Looks like we're headed for Southern Ridge ATV park. Betty Lou got up wanting to go and me, heck, I always want to go. We haven't been in quite some time... I barely remember the last time. It will be good to see some of our "dirty" friends.
We'll just go for a day ride... 4 or 5 hours.
I've already checked the fluids and tires on the ATVs and loaded them on the trailer. We'll stop on the way for gas and cold drinks. It's only about 20 minutes down the road from our place.

Good morning! 

Alarm went off @ 0600.  Snoozed 3 times so we were up @ 0630.  Made coffe/tea, sliced pumpkin bread that Mrs.P baked last night.  Enjoying it now while surfing the web. 

Will head out @ 0800 to go pick up Mrs.P's mom and drop those two off at the airport @1000.  I'll play some pool with pops and then I'll go home to hang with my peeps.  I have the next 7 days off.  I'll be a single dad until Monday when the ladies arrive back at the airport.  Next Thursday is our 32nd wedding anniversary.  We have reservations at https://www.larkseattle.com/ for dinner that evening.  Tonight’s dinner plans are to take the men out for BBQ. 

I'm tempted to take the .223 out and shoot that but it’s a long haul to the spot for shooting.

Good morning, up at 5 a.m., get the garbage to the road, work on some more stuff in the shop. Order chicken, dog, and bird food for pick up. Work on some more chicken pens and load feeders. Clean out vehicles and wash them. And whatever else I can shove in on the to do list for the day.

Thanks guys! I fell out of a truck at work and messed up my back neck and head.

Some good news unfinished up my PT today with a range of motion check. I improved by about 10 degrees all around. So that is working as scheduled. Have a follow up next week and go from there.

Looks like it's going to be dog grooming all day but not sure until the boss gets up. She was hurting pretty bad yesterday when she finally got home. The dang vet office said Toby would be done around 4pm so the wife was there on time. Toby wasn't until around 530 pm😡😡. The vets is around 40 miles away and the dog had to be there by 730 am. Wife left here at 6am to make it, dropped Toby off and then went to Costco to grocery shop in Prescott which is another 20 miles further away. Finished shopping and decided to go visit our youngest daughter. The wife has had 4 back surgeries so this long day really hurt her.

Know all about neck injuries. Went over the handle bars riding my mountain bike back in the 90s. Landed on directly on my head and crushed my helmet plus broke my handle bars in half. I was going around 20 when I did.

I was trying to save money fixing the old mower vs buying a new mower but with all the time it took and having to pay someone $80 every week or two to mow my mother's place during that time I would've been better off with a new mower dag nabbit and it would've had a suspension on it too!

I didn't get much of my planned work done as I got distracted again finding and putting a latch on an old tool box. It is a good latch for that cool old box though.


Last week I sewed another piece of leather on the handle to replace the original that was rotting off, so it's in great usable shape now.

Morning..
Today with be healing and recovering day after our atv adventures yesterday. We spent 4 or 5 hours on the trails at Southern Ridge ATV Park. We are not as resilient to the abuse we subject ourselves to but dam, it's worth it. We had a blast.

We didn't use the buggy wash at the ATV park yesterday. We were beat up and hungry and decided just to load up and wash them here at home. So we have that to do today.

Mornin Y'all.  Driving boats today.  it will be a nice break from all the maintenance I've been doing this week.  Unfortunately I'm paired with an employee we all refer to as "Emo".  This guy is the definition of clueless, entitled, millennial slacker.

Oh well.  If it's gonna be a bad day for me it's gonna be a worse day for him.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I woke up at 0530 and fell back to sleep until 0630 and got up. I’m having my coffee and contemplating my day. We have our Fall Festival this evening at the Ch**ch. But, before then, no real plans. I think I might shoot some airguns until the the girls get up and get moving. I have some sheet rock repair in our bathroom that’s been on the back burner that I’d like to start after everyone is awake. It’s supposed to get to 84* today and it’s really dry here, but we have some rain coming in a few days. I probably should clean, inspect and re-seal my gutters before the rain comes. It’s looking like several days of rain after Tuesday. So, I guess if I stick with those few things and don’t get sidetracked, I have a plan.

I slept good for 4 hour and 36 minutes, My plan is same as yesterday except - start earlier and try to stay focused today, LOL.



Today's temperature is forecast to be MUCH COOLER than yesterday. Just a high of 92°F today!
