Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! I got up around 0530, having coffee and trying to get Ayrabella up and ready for school. She really didn’t want to get up and ready, but she’s got to go to school today. I’m going to throw a few more compressors and motors on the trailer as soon as she’s on the bus. Then I’m going to visit my chiropractor and then the scrap yard to empty my trailer. Then I’ll have the rest of the day to myself until Ayrabella gets home from school. I need to get some diesel for the tractor and some gas for the mower. I’ve been cutting up and burning some downed wood I’ve had laying around the wood line far too long. Probably shoot some at some point, airguns or otherwise.

A couple jobs on the list to choose from. I could work on some shelving in the Red Shed lean to or I could sharpen the chainsaw chains and cut some trees up... or I could do both. Betty Lou mentioned a store run for milk and stuff.

Wha?  Oh yeah, um whuzzup ya'll?  Good afternoon!  Lost somewhere in the middle of The Big Vacation!  Man my sleep schedule is totally inverted.

Think I got up at 12:15 today.  Didn't sleep again last night.  Plans for today include puppy training.  Belle is old enough to start simple field training and Flash is showing her the ropes.  We're gonna work on basic commands and hand signals.  I suspect the memsahib has some gardening chores for me and of course I will shoot one or more air guns in the course of the day.

I'll be making baked beans for my shooting clubs annual family day.   It'll take me pretty much all day but those baked beans are always a big hit.    The carnivores appreciate all the bacon and kielbasa I throw in.

Mornin y'all.  Didn't sleep again last night.  No sweat.  Gonna take a canoe and go paddle Tide Creek.  It's a nice day for a canoe trip and I need to find out if my recently healed shoulders will bear the effort.

Good morning. Out on the patio an hour before daylight. It was 61° and a perfect morning to observe the early movement of wildlife as they  move about. First up this morning were the Carolina Wrens, then a Red Shouldered Hawk as it landed on a limb just above me. It seems the squirrels are sleeping in this morning. Drinking my third cup of coffee on the patio at the moment listening to beagles in the background chasing a rabbit.

Up well before dawn. Waited til daylight and came out to the shed. I think the plan, according to BL, is to clean the mess I made on the lean to side of the shed. I think she thinks it's a pavilion and mentioned not wanting to look out over the stuff. I came close to drawing her a map to the front porch but I thought better of it.

Oh how I love Saturdays!

Internal alarm clock went off at 05:30 like always.
Me and the Dawg have been out scoping out todays plans.
Currently doing my laundry.
Need to mow... and weed-eat... It's a jungle out there!
BUT need gas to do that, so we are heading to town soon. Maybe wash the truck while there.
Made arrangements with a TRUSTED local Gunsmith to get the old Remmy 721 drilled for a scope mount, so going to drop that off.
My shop is a total wreck and I am sick of climbing over stuff...
The "Family Room" looks like an Armory and I can tell Hoosier Momma is not pleased about that.

AND,  I may just "plink" a few hours.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I stayed up way too late last night, again. I got up at 0730. I’m having coffee, contemplating my day. Ayrabella & I have a lunch/activity at the Ch**ch at 1100 hrs, it’s Tacos & Tie-Die(bring a white t-shirt). I have a ton of stuff to put away in the garage today, too. I have been pulling stuff out to get to stuff and leaving my wife’s car outside. I need to fold and put away laundry, and probably shoot something at some point.

Good morining, I guess I have picked up ya'lls crazy sleep habits this week, didn't crawl out of bed till 7:30 this morning. Anyway, I am up and at with the menagerie, yard, and anything else that needs to be addressed today. Hopefully I can get the Hercules out and dialed in since the weather has finally cooled off enough to work with the air guns.

A few years ago I commented/complained to my wife that none of the spaces inside the house was really mine.   She kindly ceded her sewing/craft room to me and it has turned into my office/gun room.   It was nice and neat when it was her room.   I'd say the room is quite a bit less tidy now.   There is a lot of important cool stuff in there besides guns and gun stuff.   I could live in there if it had a refridgerator and microwave.   It's gotten so messy lately that even I notice so today I gotta do some serious cleanup.   I haven't been able to find my old Lignose for a while and I'm hoping it's buried someplace in there.

Although I don't have a specific room inside the house that I would call my own, there are more than 50 airguns on wall racks throughout the house (yes, even 3 vintage Daisies in the kitchen) and almost as many in a safe and 2 gun cabinets. Betty Lou feather dusts them during her weekly house cleaning.

Didn't take my gabapentin when I went to bed. It was miserable!!!😡 My hands and bottom of my feet were on fire,at least it felt that way. Finally around 0100hrs I gave up and took a 100mg one and slowly the burn went away. I've ridden around a half a million miles and between the vibration from the engine and the below freezing temperatures I've got neuropathy in my hands and feet. The price I pay for all those fun miles.

You're lucky to have Betty Lou to help with that sort of cleaning LOL.  My wife rarely touches any of my guns particularly if they are in pieces.  My family and friends don't care if I leave any number of guns in plain sight.    A few members of my wife's family and some of her friends are stereotypical knee jerk liberal types who are horrified or at least act horrified if they see a gun so as a curtesy to my wife I'll put a few things away.   Her college roommate panics when she visits us and hears one of the neighbors popping off a few rounds.  She tells me "I don't feel safe when I hear a gunshot".  I know she wouldn't ever visit my wife if she routinely saw any gun (including toy guns) lying around.  Certain people will never get to enter the "gun room".

Well I tried to get some stuff done out side and it is raining now. Not hard rain, just drizzling but it will still prevent my outdoor activities the rest of today. We are just supposed to get .07" today.


 I just "ate" the first picked Pomegranate from our tree this year. It was real tasty juice. Now to be clear the Ground squirrels have been stealing them for a few weeks now but I waited for them to get riper. and My wife has been trapping those sneaky Ground squirrels with a CatchMor Squirrelinator Squirrel Trap to end their thieving ways.

Happy anniversary Wendell.

Been up for about an hour and a half. Dogs fed and have been out and now back to sleep.
I'm planning and hoping for a slow laid back day. Nascar in the Red Shed while plinking.
I'm leaning towards shooting some pumpers, open and scoped. Been awhile since we shot any of the M/M Daisy 880 guns. I know they are some of Betty Lou's favorites. If that don't tickle her fancy I know the "Dans" will. She can't resist shooting "Copper".
It's a good day for vintage pumpers.
Oh, and I'm one ingredient short of making a batch of "Creek Water Happy Pie", cinnamon sticks... I may need to rectify that. Oh wait, did I just come up with an idea for the hot plate PID controller? How fun and interesting would that be?
