Wife went to Mexico to check out the dentist there. A lot of Americans go there to get their dental done. So many they call the place molar city.🤣😁

Working retail in a grocery store as the guy that did it all well, I "got to" work a sporadic schedule filling in for other's jobs, shifts, days off, vacations, and such. I think I have a habit of switching hours, days, nights regularly that I can't shake now. I can't/don't/never have, slept well if it is light in a room. A light will wake me as easily as anything else will. I got 2hrs 56min of restful sleep last night and 1hr 51min of light sleep. Back spasms wake me often too.
 Despite what it sounds like I fell well rested most mornings, albeit in pain from lying down too long. I pray the sleep I get will be sufficient and that I will wake well rested most nights and believe it is answered, and it works for me.

Well, she found out it's going to be around $8k to do the work. It would be around $18k here in the US.

I got to sleep about 2:00 AM and woke up at 6:30 AM and had to get up and get the trash and recycles to the road. My wife was still gone house/and dog sitting. She got home at about 7:30 AM. My grandson was going to come over and install three new toilets in the Church building today, but texted and canceled last minute for the second time. If he doesn't get it done before October 20th I will just have my other plumber/grandson do it when he visits from Idaho next month.

I could just do it myself but would rather pay one of them to do it. The only hard part for me is the working by the floor since my back does not bend.  The originals for 1991 still work and look ok, they have just gotten to where they flush slow because of hard water buildup inside the jet passages.

Mornin y"all.  Up at the crack of noon again!  It's day six or seven of The Big Vacation.  I've lost track of which.  Spent yesterday waiting for the memsahib at the dentist so today is MY day.  Tomorrow I go to the dentist.  Probably take some air rifles and a few dogs and go back to the sand quarry out in the national forest or I might take a boat and go run the river.  It's overcast and drizzling but that's my favorite kind of weather (blame my Hibernian ancestors).  The memsahib won't go out in this muck so if I can make it to the tree line I'm scot free!

I have a little Irish ancestry too.  Maybe that is why I like riding/racing bicycles on a rainy road.

I don't mind doing things in light rain including hunting and fishing, but when there is lightning I find something to do inside. Most of the day was spent rounding up hunting stuff. Worked on some more fishing stuff as well. Fishing is starting to pick up here now that the weather is starting to cool off some. Hoping to get out this weekend with the crab traps, it been a while for me to have steamed crab along with the fried fish.

I'm dog sitting again for the next 5 days. It's more like a vacation as the wife can't put me to work on this or that. I need it after I did all that work on the fence. 2 days later and I'm still sore. Mostly my back.😑

Good “evening” GTA! Happy Wednesday! I’ve been busy since 0500 this morning. Put my wife on a plane at 0800 for Oregon. She’s visiting family for 2 weeks. I did a bunch of outdoor cleanup today and got all the mowing done.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I stayed up way past my bedtime with Ayrabella. She has no school today, so it’s all good. I still managed to get up at 0700 anyhow. I’m finishing up my second cup o’Joe, contemplating what I might want to do today. I need to trim the bushes and get the line trimming done. I also need to load the trailer for a scrap metal run tomorrow. Besides those few things, we might just hang out a bit and go for Chinese Buffet tonight.

Getting ready to hook up the 14' trailer and take it to the landfill. It's free on the second Sat. of each month but I'm too sick of seeing it sit there loaded so I'll pay the $20.

Back from the landfill. Planning my next move. Might fire up the chainsaws and log out a couple trees I took down last week. Maybe even drop a couple more. Also need to drag the zturn with the blown motor up from the barn and put it under the lean to. That is the last thing I have in the barn that belongs to me. I still want to build a couple shelves in the lean to for paint cans, gas cans and other stuff that don't need to be in my shop.

I slept 3hrs 6 minutes of restful sleep last night and 5 hours of light sleep , waking quite a few times. That is the most sleep I have gotten for 7 days but I woke up tired and hurting bad. Oh well I have had some coffee and will "walk it off".


  I have some outdoors stuff to piddle with that will help get/keep my joints, muscles, and connective tissues moving.


  It is supposed to get to 87°F today with low humidity and a nice breeze in the hottest part of the day. I will/plan to keep hydrated. I know in this kind of weather I can get dehydrated easily because I don't get thirsty or hot usually, perspiration evaporates without a person even being aware of it.

Yeah I'm still havin trouble sleepin.  Mornin y'all!  Gardening today!  Fertilizing and top dressing nine raised mounded beds.  The memsahib has flats full of seedlings ready to go in the ground.  Broccoli, collards, mustard, squash, sweet potatoes, and somethin else.

Morning y'all, 0920AM here. Recently, my wife and I replaced 2 old room doors and they are in ok condition. So today, I'm going to inspect the property and see how many old wood beams do I have, so I can make a few tables. Guess 4 tops can be made out of these doors, mount legs on em and place em down the range. Make 4 pellet traps and enjoy the life. Haven't been recycling pellets so far but would be nice to pile em up if I ever go into casting.

Good morning, it's platelet day, pay bills, get the other half of the groceries I didn't get the other day, take care of some tech things, and them come home and crash. All this running around wears me out sometimes. Spend the weekend cleaning out the shop and work on the garden.
