I have to make a run to Troy for dogfood. I can't believe these dogs ate 44# of dogfood in a little over 2 weeks. No wonder they are fat and lazy and &^^& all over the place. Betty Lou and I had a "come to common ground" talk about that this morning. 

Nuthin worse than putting your overweight dog on a diet.  Ask me how I know.

No idea what went wrong this month. We usually buy the 44# bag and if we get low it's just by a couple days. We keep the food in a seaedl tote so there is no way the dogs or anything else got into it. One or both of us were over feeding. We're going to monitor closer next month. These are older dogs that don't get out and burn it off like they used to. They sleep all night and most of the day. They go out, do their business and come back in. We actually have to take them out and walk with them for motivation.

Brett next time you could get a shot off with one of your air guns or a bow if you have one so no one would wake up. Lip smacking like a mouse in distress will keep them from running off long enough to get a shot on them usually.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I slept in until 0645. We had a great Barn Meeting last night. I’m having coffee, enjoying the cooler weather. We have Sunday school at 0900 and Ch**ch at 1000 hrs. Small group this evening. Not much else planned.

The carburetor float valve is stuck on my XR600 so gas overflows out the carb.   I can't really ride the bike anymore and want to sell it.   I have little ambition to work on cars/bikes anymore but I gotta get this chore out of the way and clean bikes out of the garage.   It's disgusting how such a simple little piece of work has become so difficult for me.   Gotta start on it this rainy afternoon.

Looked at the read out on the Fitbit I've been wearing. I've already walked over a mile this morning and haven't left the yard. It's 5 acres but still. Walked 3.5 miles yesterday and most of the day was spent driving to the tire shop and waiting for the replacement tire to get installed then driving the 60 miles home. I got 14k steps in the day before yesterday.

Have you tapped the side of the float bowl? I'm assuming you have a 1988 or newer 600 so you only have 1 carb. My xr500r has 2. Now that's a PITA to work on.😂

Afternoon y'all.  I woke up at 0630 this a.m. and decided that I wasn't working today.  Stomach cramps,  middle aged complaints.  I've been running pretty much flat out all summer, six days a week.  I told the memsahib a few days back that I was headed for a complete systems crash probably around the end of the month.  That is normal for this time of year.  Hope I can hold out until then.

Summers in the Florida Park Service are intense to say the least.  We've got about two months now before the Manatee return in huge numbers.  Then it will be nonstop until March.  April and May will be mellow and then school lets out again.  I will be taking a lot of vacation this fall and next spring!

Yep, if I tapped any more or harder, it would break the bowl.   It's an 89.   I've had it since about 95.   It was virtually unused when I bought it.   I used it a few times and then bought a KTM EXC300.   Didn't use it much after getting the KTM so it's still in amazingly good condition.   The original tires show little wear.  Who ever ends up with it will be a lucky guy.

The dogs started their craziness at 3:50 this morning. Rambo stomping his feet and Boss whining under her breathe. I heard Betty Lou tell them to knock it off which only lasted about 20 minutes.
I got up at around 4:15 and led them out of the bedroom so she could sleep. She hasn't felt 100% for a few days.
I made them wait until 5:00 before I fed them so they laid on the floor and tried to stare me down.
Meanwhile I watched the recorded game and the Eagles stuffed it down the Pat's throat. I loved it as much as I loved watching the Longhorns stick it to the Tide.    OSU's win made me happy too. As did Bucsh and Gibbs going to the rear. Arrogance and me me me is something I can not stand in sports.
Anyways... I think I'll go out and scope out the progress on the tree clearing project. I'll evaluate the heat and humidity and see if it's tolerable for dropping a tree or two.

I couldn't sleep until it finally hit me around 0430.  An hour later my wife's alarm clock woke me up.   My alarm woke me up at 0800.   I'll have some coffee and deliver meals to shut ins.    I sure hope I can take a nap today and sleep tonight.   Tomorrow, a young friend from Europe is visiting and he wants to go shooting.   So after meal deliveries I'll open up the vault and dig around for some interesting PBs to shoot.   He wants to shoot any pistols/revolvers or a Moisin.   No idea how he came up with the Moisen idea.   Don't have one of those awful guns anyways.   He shoots FWB and Walther 10M AG rifle and pistol and also has the superb shooting abilities of a disciplined, young athlete with perfect vision.   He'll probably kick my butt even though he never gets to shoot PBs except when he visits us.

Most of what I had planned for today has been done.  Yep, didn't have much to do!
A example of 'Mixed Emotions' = Yesterday, my Judy and I watched the Saint host the Titans at the Dome.  I had to pull for the Saints because we go waaayyyy back to the time when the team was created.  My history with the Titans is only about six years old.
And, if you are the kind of person who likes Field Goals, you would have loved this game.
Yes, the Saints did eventually pull out the victory.
Does anyone out there remember a Saints' receiver by the name of Alvin Dodd?

Last day of the weekend for me.  Need to get some things tidied up and ready for the work week.  Bible study starts up tonight so there will be that this evening.  Mrs. P starts teaching the three youngest tomorrow.  Summer vacation I'd now officially over for us.  Back to the grindstone. 

We need to get down to the river and pick out some rocks to paint so Bill and Betty Lou can add them to Peanut the Snake in their town.  That will be fun! 💥

Finally got my other mower back from the shop again and cut my mother's yard before the storm. I'm hoping the storm won't ruin my freshly cleaned pool but time will tell.

We have the stones!  Hope to get them painted this week and shipped out.  I like the idea of starting one here.  Not sure how to go about it but I'm sure it only take an email or two to see if we could get one going.  Thanks for the idea! 👊🏼

Not sure how he got them.  They were there when we picked him up from the rescue.  He was 6 years old and declawed when we brought him home.  He is housebound since he doesn't have any defense. He has been a really good cat but not all that cat like in his physical abilities.  😆😹

I have my 0600 meeting, then I have a pretty heavy blower motor that needs to get to the roof and changed out. I have a guy that’s going to help me pull it up and swap it out.
