Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I slept in until 0630, I don’t have a job on me for today yet. I ran 3 calls yesterday, but I have to pester the office to get started. I’m going to finish my coffee and then get ready. I’m sure something will happen.

Well lets see, do I want to this, nah, want to do that, nah, yeah I guess I am having one of those days. My creative, motivated light bulb has blown.

Got up and showered at around 4am...
I put on coffee and turned on the news and Rambo joined me soon after. Boss heard the dog food pouring in to the dishes and made her appearance as well.
Nothing on the agenda but I'd like to spend some time with airguns. We'll see how that goes.
Oh yeah... my debit card is due to expire and the new one is reportedly in the mail today. That means I'll have the daunting task of applying the new number to all things debit card.

Work.  Starting a brisket when I get home tonight for tomorrow eats.  Hoping to be motivated to shoot airguns but it just hasn't been all that exciting to me lately.  Just going through the motions...

I picked up a metal carport kit yesterday.  I need to finish prepping the spot where it's going and maybe I'll attempt to open the boxes and see where to start assembling.

The activation and bill paying update process for the newly issued debit card went much smoother than I anticipated. Some of the accounts already knew of the impending expiration of the old card and took me directly to the process. One of them already knew the new information and only needed the new security code. The only change to my card was the expiration date and new security code.
Seems like it was a much bigger pita 3 years ago when it last expired.

Mornin (again) y'all!  I went back to bed at 9 this a.m. and just got up again about an hour ago.  Whew!  A six day work week in this heat really takes it out of you.  I didn't mean to sleep all day but that's what happened.  Now I'm refereeing a game of tug-of-war between flash and the puppy and thinking about breakfast (or maybe dinner?).  My plans for the rest of the day are.  Eat something, drink a lot of water, go back to bed.

You are not alone, I have been crashing in the middle of the day, the heat here is unbearable. This is about the hottest summer I have seen since I have been here. When you walk out the door at 7 p.m. and the chickens are panting, it's hot!  Haven't had any rain in the last 4 days and it is starting to take its toll on everything in the yard.

When you walk out the door at 7 p.m. and the chickens are panting, it's hot!  Haven't had any rain in the last 4 days and it is starting to take its toll on everything in the yard.

Same for me Kris. I have to get to my outdoor chores at 6am and by 8 am I'm wringing wet from the 70 % humidity and extreme heat. After lunch at 11:30 I'm exhausted. The heat and humidity has drained me. I'm done for the day. I can't remember a summer this hot and I've lived in this community in South Mississippi all of my life.

It is certainly hot this summer.  I guess we will all soon adopt the tradition of the afternoon siesta.

Not only air temps are miserable, the Gulf water is too. The sea surface temps along the coast are averaging between 85* and 90*. Not looking forward to Sept. and Oct., hurricanes thrive in this kind water. Sea lice(jellyfish larvae) love it when it's hot like this, they get trapped in tight clothing against the skin just like chiggers. They sting and cause a nasty rash(sunbather's eruption) on some people. It's kind of a cross between chiggers and poison ivy.  It's funny to watch the tourist come into a drug store looking for relief from them and cure is simple, it's vinegar and stay out of the water.

Make enough love to your wife and your daughter may leave sooner than expected. Don't let any woman make your life he|| be it a relative or not. You are entitled to live in peace at your own home but peace must be maintained sometimes. Be strong with her just like you are with any other idiot on the beach when they need it.

Heck I take it all with a grain of salt. LOL!  She’s just grumpy cause she messed up.  She thought her lease was up first of September and she’d be moving on.  She’s got to live with us for a month now.  I love my kid but she’s a mess.  Not a big mess just a minor one and for that I am blessed.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! I woke up at 0430 and said “nope”… started coffee and went back to sleep for 45 minutes or so. I’m on my first cup o’Joe and I’ll get ready with my second cup. I went to the chiropractor on Wednesday, so I’ll skip that and go straight to the job. I have a Tractor Supply with one rooftop ac unit down. Today’s supposed to be the hottest and the last of the hottest days for us in this run. I’ll be glad to put the extreme heat behind us.

Cap, take care of yourself.  That Covid thing is rearing its ugly head again.  A friend in Long Island is down with it.  My Judy is on high alert all over again.  I sure hope that isn't what has a hold of you!

Up @ 0430 and wrapped the brisket.  Been on since 2130 yesterday.  190s internal currently.  Maybe another hour and then it's rest time. 

Went back to bed after the wrap. Finally up @ 0740.  Did two cappuccinos and a fire.  Gonna go water the plants in the front while Mrs. P waters the back.  Got a few things and errands to accomplish today.  Heading to friends tonight with the brisket and pulled pork.  Also gonna hit the car show while out tonight. 

Well, time to get started.  Off I go!

My plans for today were to take Martha to Tyler for same day hiatal hernia surgery. She was in such pain,  I convinced the Dr. to keep her overnight in the event that something happened that I couldn't help her with.  My plans for tomorrow are to go back up to the hospital and hopefully bring her home.  She is my everything and I miss her.
