Trying to do a few things outside but after only 10 minutes I'm soaked with sweat. If you don't get whaat you want done before 10am forget it. Then in the late afternoon and evening the thunderstorms blow in. Supposed to be like that for the next 10 days at least.
I hated the winters in northern Ohio but I'm not sure which is worse.

Had a CT scan for a liver issue and they found out I have right heart dysfunction (fluid overload). The worst part is I can't get in to see a cardiologist until mid September. Hoping to find a doctor with an opening sooner.

They'll more than likely put you on Lasix but be careful, lasix is a potassium wasting drug. You'll need to eat a couple of bananas a day or whatever potassium pills they put you on. But what do I know? I'm not a doctor but did play one in a community play.🫣

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I slept in until 0500, then went into town after my 1st cup o’Joe. I got my haircut, since I couldn’t yesterday on my way to work. It’s been raining this morning and the girls are still in bed. Not too sure what we’ll do today all told. But, my wife wants me to fence in her garden plants and we have a Barn Meeting this evening.

Wow.... hard to believe the first post to this thread didn't happen until almost 8am CT. I reckon everyone decided to sleep in. I rolled out later than usual... 6:30 this morning and I could tell Betty Lou had been up and went back to bed. I didn't hear any of that.
I've since had coffee and watched the recorded Arca race at Mid-Ohio.
Going to head outside and see what I can get into before the heat and humidity sends me back in. I'd like to get my shooting range cleaned up. It's been neglected for awhile as we were working on other things.

I've been up since 0400. It's light enough by 0545 to work outside. Cut 2/3 of my yard Wednesday the rest of it Thursday. Cut my daughter's yard yesterday and this morning I've been been trying to get the roots up from where we removed the downed tree.

It was a huge sawtooth oak that was uprooted a couple of weeks ago.

The trunk was 29" in diameter. Last Saturday my son borrowed a extend-a-boom from his work and with four of his friends helping the entire tree was removed from my yard.

Yes is was a beautiful tree bReTt.  We'll certainly miss it. Hurricane Katrina topped it in 2005 but it recovered beautifully. We're sad to see it gone.
We will cut the trunk and limbs for firewood. The tops are piled up on a large burn pile. The stump is across the road in a pond.  The huge root ball is below the surface.  It measured 32" across that cut.

This spring/summer we've had numerous severe thunderstorms three that produced a derecho. I had never heard the word derecho until this year. The term "straight-line wind damage" is most often used instead of derecho. Anyway we have lost three trees since March all from 60-90 mph straight-line winds.

Mawnin y'all!  Driving boat tours today.  It will be fun in this weather.   Hopefully the rain will keep the multitudes off the beach.  During the summer here it's a six day grind of boats and late field ranger.  It's fun but wearing.  Tonight I plan to put out my trot lines across a couple of sloughs near the house.  I loaded up on catfish earlier this week but I need one more good strike so I'll have plenty for a fish fry.

Awake @ 0530.  Outta bed @ 0615.  Showered and a shave.  Coffee at the moment.  This is my current view as I type this and surf.  Graduation party yesterday.  So nice to have so many at the house all at once.  We had ping pong, pool, swimming pool, badminton and croquet.  Food was a simple chip bar with multiple chips, dips, salsas and crackers along with drinks and many varieties of ice cream treats. 

Today is Sunday school, church then much of the same (as above) this afternoon just hanging with my peeps around the house.  OT scheduled at work for this week and next so I have to be in at 0700 tomorrow morning for my first OT shift on my day off.  Not real thrilled with myself for signing up for it but the $$$ is always helpful.

Good morning, it's wet and humid here with passing rain showers. Waiting for the weather to clear enough to install the new AC, then pull out the generators make sure they are up and running. The power was out for 3 hours and the house got toasty real quick so the doors came open. Had a bad thunderstorm yesterday that blew everything all over the yard again. This keeps up I won't have any pears left. Luckily the tomatoes were spared, the okra took a beating. Getting tired of these mini hurricanes and the clean up.

Well we just had a shower. Hope it cools things down. Before the rain the heat index was 98° with 76% humidity. It so oppressive outside.

I have a headache so we didn't go to ch**ch My wife streamed the service but I'm just sitting in the den enjoying the cool. My head is killing me.

Enjoying a much needed day off to recover physically. The new mower engine has been misfiring ticking and surging. Yesterday I took the plugs to a couple of experienced guys who both immediately said I have a valve stuck open. So back to the shop for warranty fixing it goes. Hopefully it won't require a rebuild after running it two weeks. Should not be happening with a new engine but they told me this is just more common now because they don't put them together as good as they used to. With all the troubles I've had with the last engine over the years and this one too I can't say I'd recommend a Honda engine.
