Good morning GTA! Happy Monday!!! Back to the grind for me. Yesterday morning, when I got up it was 77* already/still. This morning, I got up at 0515 and it was down to 67*. Today and tomorrow I’ll be working inside mostly and it’s supposed to be 90* and 92* respectively. Wednesday through Friday, it’s supposed to be 100*, 103* and 100*… I’m sure it’ll be a/c calls for those 3 days and I’ll be outside for that… that pool will sure be nice after work.

Well over 70*, I’m sure. We filled it Saturday and it reached 66* by the end of the day. Yesterday got to 95* and the water temperature got to 68*-69*, even though it was overcast part of the day.

I use to love jumping in the pool every time I started to get hot doing yard work. Cooled me down enough I'd be able to work in 110 degree weather without dieing.

It went from paradise weather yesterday to gray and cool today. 

Plans for today are to water the plants around the house, pick up the weekend mess inside and out, dishes, laundry, finish the swimming pool filter and heater hook up along with filling the pool with water (about half full now).  Need to make a Walmart run and possibly drop off a ring to be repaired (if we can find the warranty paperwork).  I may try and wash the car too but that can be put off if need be.  It's my last day of the weekend, we have been busy and battling colds so we were in a bit of a survival mode so the simple things like dishes and laundry stacked up and we basically left our messes out over that past 3 days.  Colds are still lingering but we have been functional this whole time. 

Right now I just finished my second cup of coffee and I'm trying to get moving in the right direction.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! It’s Hump Day, looks like we’ve all been busy and missed Tuesday. I got up at 0400 yesterday and rolled out to work early. This morning I got up at 0430. I have my 0600 meeting and then I’ll head out to work at 0700. I have a 1 hour+ ride for a freezer or cooler problem with not much information, but it’s not working, whatever it is. I have a meeting tonight at 1800 with a friend to go over some stuff I need help with.

IT is almost noon... spend half my work day in meetings.  After work, and maybe during lunch, I'll make some cuts on some steel in preparation for some welding later.  End game is a cart for use on the property. 

After work, I may start some disassembly on my Hatsan 95QE, but maybe not.  I may just break out the gloves and pull some weeds.

It's Ch**ch first, then it's up to my son to plan the rest of the day. We will be leaving for Idaho tomorrow so the grandson-in-law can be back to work Wednesday. I would say leave at 4:00AM but there is a 3 year old and a 11 month old, so we'll just have to see how it goes.

I'll catch you all up now, since I have been too busy driving this week to post. We left my son's in Clever MO at 9:00 AM Monday, we got to Mountain Home ID 1,515 miles away on Tuesday at 7:00 AM. My granddaughter's husband and I drove. I drove most because the drivers seat was the most comfortable because the car seats in the back of the quad cab restricted the front seat adjusting. It wasn't terrible to drive or ride in but sleeping was terrible. 

We stopped for breakfast first when we got to Mountain Home, then got to the grandkids place and unloaded, my wife and I then left Mountain Home ID at about 10:00 AM and I drove to Las Vegas NV 585 miles, arriving at 8:00 PM, got a room and walked a got something to eat. We enjoyed a night together in our room (and enjoyed sleeping too). Went out to breakfast, checked out of the room and drove home 265 miles arriving home at 1:15 PM, unloaded and will take the rest of the day to relax. So, that was 2,365 miles in 52 hours and I drove 1,811 miles of it myself.

Brett your cold from swimming in the cold water? Happened to a family member once after swimming in 65 degree water where he was sick the next day with some fever.

As soon as I got motivated this morning I headed to the bar/mancave. Everything we own is now out of the building. I have a bbq grill, a step ladder, a folding table and a plastic trash can to move from the deck and it's done. That will be moved today.

Load feeders, make sure all the waterers are working. I am amazed with this heat I have not lost a chicken. Prep all the fruit I bought yesterday for the freezer. Grind up brush and limbs to make fresh potting soil. I have to give my post office a shout out for finding a miss mailed package. It's a lure making tool and they are hard to find or ridiculously expensive. The seller put the wrong zip on the package and luckily I had a tracking number. It took the post office about 30 minutes to iron out that mess. So it should be here by the weekend. Fishing lures and soft baits are getting expensive.

Driving boats and riding herd on a packed beach today.  It promises to be a bit cooler so that should help.  The heat has brought out some crazy behavior in the beach goers recently.  LE had to Taser a guy on Tuesday.  Hope it's quieter today.

Taking a deep breath because tomorrow starts the fourth of July weekend.  Most people consider the 4th a fun holiday.  Park rangers view it as an invasion of vandals and barbarians.

That's if they lay at all, they stop laying when it gets hot like this. I just have to worry about them falling out, I will check on them when it's the hottest part of the day and make sure they are not stressing out on or croaked. I hate cleaning up roasted chickens.

Plans?

Plans for later today included making some of my famous pico de gallo for dinner with the in-laws tonight.  I'll also be talking to my FiL about what he's looking for in a tractor.  He's trading in his current Kubota backhoe/frontloader for something with more capacity... and hopefully dual-speed rear PTO.  I'll be bringing some .20 Polymags by to see how his Blue Streak fling's em, too.  On my recommendation, he bought a couple tins of .20 JSB domes and the grin on his face resembled mine after "executing" some gumballs still hanging in their red-gum tree. 

Other plans include packing 2 new and 3 freshly-sharpened chainsaw chains, grabbing some gasket material, and touching up the edges on our machetes and axes.  We'll be off until next Wednesday and clearing underbrush figures heavily in our near future   I also bought some new speed-feed heads for my Shindaiwa and Echo line trimmers, so yet another minor task that benefits me greatly in the long run.

Thank you, Mike.  They didn't keep her but she is bedridden.  They prescribed some stronger antibiotics.  We'll see what the next few days will bring.
