Y'all have fun! I rode the zero turn for about eight hours this week at work and got paid to do it.  There is no way I'm going to waste one minute of MY time cutting grass at home!

I am going to go hang out/look around at Bass Pro in Springfield MO for a while. I have been there before but it was 2017 last time. I am sure they have a lot of new stuff to see. The place is like a huge "Disneyland" for everything outdoors.

 Today is relaxing. Trips to the Cancer center the last 2 days, and yesterday we were there all day for 3 appointments.
Long waits in between.
 First day had her Medi-Port put in. then we came home.
Yesterday was P.E.T. scan, a conference with the Chemo Pharmacist,
and then a conference with new lady Doctor  that's joining the team with some better news.

Read GTA, maybe look at the lawn see if it needs mowed, may mow anyway just to please the neighbors, and blow grass on a tent pitched in my yard 
 Need to top off PCP fill station bottles, and most likely plink the day away.

OK done with my am outdoor adventure,    decided to run around the yard with my electric chainsaw instead 
I took out several unwanted deciduous trees and shrubberies
 Bummer no one was in the tent, must of had enough sense that thing would be cookin hot when they normally awake
 Lawn will have to wait till the monsoon predicted actually happens

It's raining pretty hard today so I think I'll clean some guns and shuffle around/sort some stuff.   Maybe I'll gather up some fortitude to decide what to sell next as part of the big downsizing/simplifying project.    Maybe even try to sell one of the AGs I never shoot.  Or more likely, I'll surf and eat more than I should

First thing this morning we brought a tailgate of the truck load of stuff up from the bar to the house. We grabbed a folding table from the bar deck and set it up in the screen room to put and sort stuff when we get to it. We brought the computer system up from the bar along with totes and boxes.
The ground is still pretty wet so I didn't want to make another trip and dig ruts. Instead we set up the 750 watt stereo in the house so Betty Lou can dance her way through housework.
She also helped me put up a shelf in the Red Shed for the 32" security system TV. While I was at it I set it up for streaming TV. At a flick of the remote button I can go from 8 cameras to Nascar.  That TV also has a PC connection so I can do the GTA as well. Lots of options for the Red Shed.
Betty Lou also gave me the go ahead to put the tall dorm beer fridge from the bar into the Red Shed. The smaller one will go in her She Shed.
The screen room ( I call it a screen room but I blocked all the screen out with 2" insulation board) will become our hang out like the bar was. It will get the 55" big screen. It already has a bar in it. Lots of the decor from the bar will go in there as well. Lots of beer and creek water has been enjoyed in the space over the years.. we're just doing our part to carry on the tradition.

Today was the big push..
I cleared 50 tickets/ $500 so far..

I went to my latest air-gun buddy at 9:00 to sell him some tickets. He bought $60 worth.
Come to find out he just got home from another African safari...
Wound up spending 3 hours there.
Showed me his scar on his left shoulder from a Lions claw!!!

Ya, his dad is a piece of work. The grandson in law is a great guy, great husband, and a great dad, his parents tell him he is worthless, I'll never understand where they are coming from or how they arrive at that false conclusion.

Shot the Lion but didn't kill it DRT... as it was charging and it leaps at him it takes a swipe his Guide finished it.

 Much needed rain here today. Think I will fire up the pot and do some casting later.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday!!! I’m officially wore out, but the pool is up. Got a little too much sun on my bare skin, too. I still have a ton of stuff on my to do list, but I’ll try to refrain. It’s supposed to get really hot this week, over 100*. I decided I’m not going to do much of anything today. I got up at 0530. The girls will probably sleep in. I do need to burn the cardboard from the pool and there’s some limbs I need to trim with the sawzall and throw in with it. Otherwise, I’ll read, relaxe and eat a bit here and there. We’ll go in the pool, for sure. But, I foresee this work week to be pretty hard. I’m going to try not to think about it.

It's Ch**ch first, then it's up to my son to plan the rest of the day. We will be leaving for Idaho tomorrow so the grandson-in-law can be back to work Wednesday. I would say leave at 4:00AM but there is a 3 year old and a 11 month old, so we'll just have to see how it goes.

Good morning, day 2 of no rain. Just the usual morning chores, cut hair, work on lawn toys, prep the boat for fishing this week, build a drying pole for the cast nets, and anything else I can cram into the day.

Afternoon y'all!  Living the life of Riley! 

I ain't going no where near a lawn mower, hand tool or anything resembling manual labor today.  Gonna load the dogs on the pontoon boat and chug down the bay to a nice spot to picnic!

Firstly, I'm gonna get some lawnmower gas and then I want to shoot a few pellets before it gets too hot to stay outside.  There was once a time, many many moons ago , when I loved summer.  Not anymore.

Well I started at UPS in 1985 as a package driver. Before that I enjoyed summer but after a couple of weeks driving the brown truck in south Mississippi with interior temperatures in the package compartment reaching 140° I quickly decided that I hated summer.

I enjoyed Summers while I lived in the upper half of the country prior to 10 years ago when we moved to the South. Now I look forward to Spring, Winter and Fall.

After mowing and moving a load from the bar to the house I just wasn't feeling good. I cranked the A/C up in the bedroom, closed the door and laid down for an hour or so. I got up and took a hot shower and I feel much better now. I think I'll get motivated and hang some gun racks in the spare room and Betty Lou has some pictures she wan ts me to hang. We have about 3 more trips from the bar to the house and plan to do one each morning for the next few days.

Bet he asked the guide what took him so long to shoot waiting until after he got attacked. Lucky he didn't get much worse than that. A lot of guys weren't so lucky. Reminds me of the old book I Fought A Tiger by Claud Bahlz. Always sounded like a short read to me.

Same here. I hate it now. Always look so forward to Fall when the temps go down and the bugs are no longer such a nuisance.
