Just got done cleaning some fish and picked a few green tomatoes for lunch. Did make it to the water yesterday afternoon. Did shore fishing due to the weather, it finally let up and I was able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Stayed until dark. The bugs got a little rough but that is the coast for ya. Today get everything cleaned up and probably go back this afternoon if the weather is not to nasty.

Good morning GTA!!! Happy Friday!!! I got up at 0430, started coffee and I’m on my second cup already. I need to hit the chiropractor, then an oil change- when I head out to work. After work, I’m going to grab the trailer and get another thousand pound bag of sand for the pool. Tomorrow, that pool is going up and getting filled. It’s getting hot out there, summers really here.

Up at 5:30 to the normal routine, make coffee, take care of dogs and turn on the news.
We got a good solid day of packing stuff from the bar/mancave to the back room on the house. It's been rain, rain, rain for the past week and too wet to get in that low area where the building sits. Now we just want to get it done and get that whole thing behind us.

I’m on the late shift again today.  Just got to keep my head down and grind through it.  Off tomorrow and Sunday for a change so I’m looking forward to that.

My wife went off to Branson with grandkids and great grandkids today, I stayed "home" at my son's place and plan on working on the truck a granddaughter from Idaho drove here that is now making some noise. It is Dodge with only 57,000 miles and it sounds like it might be a rod knock? I plan on checking the torque converter bolts though hoping that is it instead. This is not what I want to do but, that Family of four needs a way home and doesn't have the extra money needed for this.

Up at the sound of rain, waiting on some of the yard to dry out so I can clean up the 2 weeks worth of storm blast. This place looks like a bomb went off in it. I am tired of this mess. I have things I would rather be doing than being cooped up or cleaning up. Just making the most of what I can when it's dry.

Mike, all I have to is wait for the flooding and then at night with flash light pick up the crayfish crawling around in the yard. I have a pond that the wood ducks borrow once in a while in the fall. I don't even have to have levee everything just shows up when it floods.

The weather has cleared off enough that I have been able to mow and clean up the blast zone. I have plans to find a secluded spot this afternoon and fish. Caught 2 nice sea trout the other night and ready for more of that. I am fine, just had one of those moments that is equivalent to a CAT 5 hurricane first thing this morning.

Those CAT 5 moments are necessary so we can feel human the rest of the time.  It is good to hear that you are fine now.  Good luck with the fishing.  Sea Trout are my favorite after Crappie (Sac-a-Lait).

I wanted to cut the tempered steel grid off some old sections of square beam fencing.  I just checked that off the list during a work break.  I'll be using the steel beam and various scraps to fabricate a bigger cart to pull behind the mowers out on our property.  The one I currently have is a Craigslist Special; while nice, and with a dump feature, I'm usually loading a walk-behind line trimmer, at least 1 and sometimes both the hand-held line trimmers, machetes, a camp axe and a felling axe, wedges, spare gloves, Ego chainsaw and polesaw, batteries for both, spools of trimmer line in both .095 and .155, a 5 gallon gas can, 40:1 pre-mix, and a cooler.  Needless to say, that cart is stacked too high. 

Other plans are dinner with my wife, maybe some sling-shot action, and a visit with her sister and brother in law across the lake.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday!!! Up at 0515, I worked too late yesterday to get anything done besides dinner, shower and bed… so I’m headed to get a thousand pounds of sand and that pool’s going up today. I’ll likely shoot something later on after the working is done.   

Oh! And Ayrabella picked Chinese Bu Fe for dinner! I’m good with this, for sure!

Today will be the day we the final separation between us and the bar/mancave. Everything we want is off the walls and/or in totes and boxes staged to load on the truck/carry to the house. We were just waiting for the yard to dry out enough so not to make ruts in the grass. Once the last item comes out the door we don't have plans to ever enter that building again.
Hopefully it's dry enough to mow after moving everything. Because of all the rain it's been more than a week since I last mowed and it looks like a grazing pasture that needs grazed. I'm going to mow the acre that the bar/mancave sits on just because it needs it. The guy who bought it lives in Florida and hasn't been here since last week. I can only assume he has things to deal with there due to the storms they had.

 Need to top off PCP fill station bottles, and most likely plink the day away.

Good morning all, well yesterday I determined the granddaughter's truck is beyond what I can do while we are here, the noise is a connecting rod. My son's cherry picker and some other tools are loaned out and in Arkansas. So I am going to offer to take the four of them back home to Idaho "on our way" home to southern CA. That is a bit out of the way, but the family needs help. It will be cutting our time here short too, but we don't have any plans that are critical, and he needs to get back to work. He will have to figure out what to do with the 5.7 Hemi in the truck later when he has time and money? He just bought the truck from his dad who won't give him a break even though he just bought it himself for $1,000 and sold it to them for $6,000, which they now owe and were going to pay off with the sale of his car.

 In other news, I mowed my son's back acreage yesterday too, after he mowed the front I took over. The back acreage had gotten tall while they focused on their daughters wedding.  I don't know what plans they have for today but since the mowing is done maybe we will go Kayaking?

Spent yesterday mowing so that is done. I have been in the shop this morning making soft swim baits to fish with. Trying out a new mold that came from across the pond. It's very well made. Single cavity and hand pour to fill it. Build me some brooder pens, some of the chicks I have are big enough to go outside without heat. I will keep the hen with them for a few more weeks until they get adjusted to being outside. I have plants that need transplanting and need to mix up some homemade potting soil, get the chipper/shredder cleaned up and tuned up to make the water holding component.  Enjoying the day without the wet stuff for a change.
