Dry here.  Think I'll wash the truck and water the sod, that should bring some rain.  Heading into town soon via kayak.  Grab some coffee at the shop across the street from the harbor, a 2 mile round trip walk to the Piggly Wiggly for steaks, then stop in the fish house and pickup some fresh caught shrimp from the boats there.  Tonight it's surf & turf on the grill.

Good morning, business as usual, got the much needed rain without the destruction. Probably ride out to the cape or TAFB for a little while and fish, this gloomy weather will keep the idiots indoors. Tired of being chained up in the house.

I hear ya Kris.. If not for the Red Shed I'd go nuts. Been spending most of all days in here lately. Slowly migrating everything shop and tinker related from the bar to the Red Shed. The bar will then go back to being what it was intended to be.. a mancave. I'll just keep a small tool box in there for maintenece purposes.

We've got a whole 20 percent chance of rain today which means we won't get anything. Going to be crawling around under the trees pulling foxtails. Yeh! 😡😕 The things we do to protect our fur babies.

Good luck Kris!  St. Joe bay is just about my favorite fishing spot.  Maybe I'll throw some surf rods in the truck and head for San Blas today!
The rain has been good to us here and our garden overfloweth!  Four different varieties of tomato, Japanese eggplant, white acre peas, okra, cucumbers and potatoes are all coming in right now.  We've been pickling cucumbers for two weeks.   Now we're harvesting tomatoes for marinara.  I eat a vine ripe tomato with every meal and I graze on spoon tomatoes all day long.

Home grown produce is otherworldly good.  People have asked me why my tomatoes are so much better than the ones sold at a local farm stand.   The farmer is someone I've known all my life and he really wants to sell an excellent product but at the end of the day, he still has to make a profit.   I'm doing something different.  I don't care how much it costs or how time consuming it is.   I want to grow the best tomato in the world.  When you grow your own, you'll look at a piece of fruit that is almost perfect and decide to pick it tomorrow when it will be perfect.   A farmer just can't do that.

Cut boys hair, paint a couple garden decorations, maybe play pool with the fellas, go to pops and play pool on his new table, head in to work.  Right now I'm surfing and enjoying the sun and slow morning.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday!!! I’m on call this weekend. I got a lot of work done outside yesterday after work. Took down 2 dead trees and cleaned it all up. Pool’s still not up yet, we’ve had just enough rain every day to keep things muddy if I pull the tarps. We have more rain tonight, but I think it’s going to shut off after that. I have been working the new spot a little here & there, though. If I don’t get called out, I’m going to move the dirt and sand from the front to the new spot out back. If I get called out, I’ll tarp the new spot. If I get it done, I’ll put the new tarp down. I have some downed limbs I cut up that needs cleaned up. If I have time after these things, I’ll get the mowing and the trimming done.

Good morning, got to get packed up and hooked up and done with the pre-trip check list before bed time tonight so we can get started down the road asap after Ch**ch tomorrow. Looks like 35 mph max winds in the desert by late afternoon. I think we should be through there with 13-15 mph at most though.

I've been catching a few catfish every evening and skinning and freezing them.  There's a dozen in the fridge right now.  Tonight I'm making deep fried chicken fingers (for the memsahib), fried catfish, fried mushrooms, and fried eggplant!

In Ash Fork it's saying gusts to 39 mph out of the sw. Don't know if it will get that high but I've seen it do it before along the I40.

Good morning, spending some part of the day cleaning up after the severe weather that came through yesterday, no tornado but straight line winds. Lets just say a lot of stuff got airborne yesterday and now I am cleaning up and rounding up stuff that learned to fly. The power was out for about 2 hours. Luckily the garden was spared, it's surrounded by tall vegetation. My pear tree did fare so well, at least 2 dozen pears are on the ground. So it's back to cleaning up broken branches, pine cones, and round up the scattered chicken flock. I will be glad when this weather pattern changes, tired of being cooped up and cleaning up.

My peoples is originally from the south.  My mother's uncle would drive up and visit about every 5 years or so.  He would catch a bunch of catfish, freeze them and haul them up here for his visit.  We would have an old fashioned fish fry just like they did when the family was all together down home.  It was always a great time when Uncle Earl and his "Dumplin'" would come to visit. 😆😎🤠

I love fried catfish but New Hampshire is not the place to look for it.   When I'm down south, fried catfish is on the must haves list along with lots of fried chicken and BBQ.    There's a reason life expectancy is lower down south.

Good morning from the Grate Northern Desert. You know it’s dry when dogs kick up dust running in the brown grass.

Indoor chores are done with no additional orders from the commander. Soon as the sun moves a little more, I will finish staining the railing on the deck.

If I survive the ladder jumping opportunity, I will get to work on a Prod barrel polish and install.
Hope it shoots better.
Then set up the PARD 007v for some garden defense. The main problem I see with this whole night vision thing is I fall asleep by the time it’s dark out!

Oh, I must plant more beans today, the bunnies got half of them so far.

You're going to be replacing tarps frequently so I'd recommend a tin roof to reduce your troubles and be the most maintenance free possible so you can spend more time getting sugar from the wife.
