Happy pie and a lot of activities don't go good together like driving.

I limit my driving while under the influence to atvs and soft, wet mud.. and I try to keep a safe distance from campfires.

Working on the Den wall again today. It's mud spreading on the joints time.
I HATE drywall work and successfully avoided it most of my working life.
Matt helped me out by hauling the drywall sheets here in his Hooptie.

Clean up a storm downed tree. One of the rotten snags came down last night, the best part it landed almost on top of the burn pile. It won't take much to push the rest of it into the pile as well. I have 5 more of those to get down without smashing something or me in the process and before hurricane season ramps up.

Din't lift a stick to take a lick at a snake today.  Ain't gonna do a lick neither.  Life is far too short to clean house, do dishes, or mow the wretched lawn!  I might go shoot some BB guns or I might go fishing or I might just kick back and work on extending my lifespan.

Lifted a few sticks but I threw them right back down.. didn't see any snakes so I couldn't see holding onto the sticks.
I played with a gun that came UPS today but it had other plans. 
Tomorrow is another day, just like the one after and the one after that.
The best part of the day was not punching a time card.

Yep, not long, already rounding up stuff and storing it. Just the way of life around here.

Saw a clump of dirt on the carpet so picked it up. WRONG MOVE!
Turned out to be a big bumble bee! Dropped it right away but that's where the funny poo poo started!
CC, our newest Fur Baby, was there and it landed on her back.
Not to be out done by MY freaking out? She bolted into the bedroom with a wail! (And her wail is pretty lame by the way).
Did a circle under the bed and zoomed right back past me as if to say "WTH did you do to me!!!!"
The Bee fell off her almost at my feet and got the foot of death delivered.
CC is now eyeballing me as if I planned it all!
Her fur is to thick for that bee to have stung her so it's probably me laughing at her that has her a bit mad at me.
 
Now I plan to make peace with her.

When I came home from Ch**ch last night I walked in to find or small dog finishing eating a bird. I don't know how she caught it but what was left looked and smelled fresh, so it wasn't dead when she got it. I expected her to vomit later on but she never did. Judging from the amount of feathers scattered from the doggy door through the house she plucked it pretty well.  Oh the furry ones do things...

My day started at 0230 this morning.  Mrs. P wasn't sleeping and from 0230 on I wasn't either.  Usually I have no problem going back to sleep but with her quiet frustration for not being unconscious, that kept me from falling into slumber.  At 0330 I decided to change my tactics so I went to the shop to shoot some pool to get sleepy.  Well, that didn't work so, around 0430 I heated up some coffee and surfed some.  Went back to bed at 0630 but I was caffeinated and freezing cold.  I laid there miserable and never got warmed up either.  Back out of bed at 0800 and actually started normal daytime activities.  I eventually made it outside and finished up the final touches on the gazebo assembly, cleaned up the mess from that, installed the repaired handle back on the rototiller, tilled the soil where we are expanding the garden and an area for a wild flower bed by the chicken yard.  Cleaned and reorganized under the carport, leveled and cleaned up debris from the gravel parking area, planted a bush that I removed from the front, used the line trimmer and edged the grass while a couple of the boys mowed, blew the grass and dust off of everything after mowing, ran to the grocery store with Mrs. P and picked up a couple missing items for dinner.  Finally was able to shoot a few pellets while dinner was cooking.  Did an egg hunt after dinner before dark and then sat around eating treats from Belgium with my people.  Ready for bed now and I'm surfing.  Busy day....

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I got up around 0420 and started the coffee. I don’t have a job on me yet for today. Oh well, I’m on call this weekend anyway. After coffee, I’ll get ready and head out to visit my chiropractor. Call the office at 0800. If they don’t come up with something for me to do, I’ll find something to do at home.

Morning

Me and Rambo got up at 4:30. He ate and went out and I made coffee. Betty Lou and Boss are still sleep but that's how them womins are.. sleep all day if you let them. 

All about airgun type stuff today. Back and forth between casting and whipping a basket case Sentry 705 Deluxe HC into shape.

I was up at 4:30; ate breakfast, made coffee for Sonja, and then she headed to work.  I checked the forums earlier, then went and started packing some stuff.

Between the packing and now, I cut all the dead wood off a cedar we almost lost, cleaned a firepit that my Weber's spare grate happens to fit, pulled some weeds, started a load of laundry, shaped a very rough handle for a manual polesaw blade and mounted it (the pole buckled and crumbled due to age), and loaded the Husqvarna rider into the truck, along with all the Ego batteries, 2 of my line trimmers, and the aforementioned fire pit.  There's a likelihood of a couple axes, freshly sharpened machetes, a stack of felling wedges, some rigging gear, and some spare chainsaw blades. 

Sonja will head directly to our property from work (meaning she has a 55 minute versus 95 minute drive); I'm hoping I can cut out a little early but if I can't, that's fine too.  We're spending the night on our property sans dogs; already have some tree work lined up early tomorrow for a friend (hence axes, wedges, blades, rigging) then we're going to float the upper James River with my in-laws and likely drink Modelos and green-bottle beers while grilling on said fire pit. 

Last time we floated that section of the river was in a 2-man sit-on kayak.  This time it will be on our inflatable Bote.

Hit the ground early this morning, garden chores done, feed me and zoo next, fix tractor and lawn mower, round up airgun stuff so I can play this weekend. Need to take a break from the jungle for a minute. Sometimes I do go into overdrive on things and have to remind myself it will still be there.

Loaded "Gangsta" with a full tank 'o air, box of NSA slugs, and the Dreamline Lite.
Heading out to my Son's land to set up in his shed and wait for the whistle pigs to come in range.
Longest shot would be 100 yards or so. Not a problem for the FX!
Last time I shot from his shed was a 90 yard DRT kill shot on a whistle pig.
That was with the Evanix RS .30

Mornin Y'all.  Up at the crack of noon!  Wallered in the bed with the memsahib and the dogs.  Nothing on the agenda today that the memsahib can't handle!

Plans for the day call for loafing, gold bricking, and slacking.  Don't know If I'll get to all of it today.
