It happens all too often that a small town gains a bad rep over something like this. The media blows it way out of proportion. I'm willing to bet that the OD and the M/S was not related in the least. However, the media will likely report it all together. I wouldn't be surprised if they turned it into a drug related mass murder.
I 100% despise the media almost as much as lawyers... on both sides.

We had some murders in the county in the last year 2 in Carey one in upper and one in Bucrirus. Not sure on drug OD I also despise MSM because they no longer report just the truth.

I got my start back in the early eighties as a cameraman for the local ABC station.  At the time I thought it was a pretty raggedy Andy kinda situation.  Used to call it the ""Fisher Price TV Station" as a joke.  Now I realize how professional we really were.  Electronic News Gathering (as it is professionally known) is a giant game of advanced "Telephone".  The news crew shows up after the %&#$ went down and we get to pick from six different witnesses that all saw completely different perspectives.  The reporter is concerned about his ratings and is going for the most drama he can gin up. Getting the story straight can be impossible.   Half the time we didn't even get people's names right for crying out loud!

The important thing to remember is that the news business is part of the ENTERTAINMENT industry and that real live fallible Human Beings are running it.

Got some .22 molds arriving today so I'm gonna head out and turn the pot on to get some lead melted and ready to cast. Then I'll rotate the .25 guns that I have been shooting for some .22 guns for testing.
The plan is to decide what .22 pellet/slug will be the most usable for my .22 arsenal. The most common pellet/slug will be the mold I invest in. I'm sure I'll add to my mold collection as time goes on.
The bottom line is, I want to do what I can to reduce the cost of shooting airguns.. retail pellet and shipping costs continue to rise.. something I'd like not to be part of.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Back to the grind for me. I got up about 0545 and I’m getting ready to roll out to work. Just one more cup o’Joe and I’ll pour the rest of the pot into my steel road-cup. I’ll be changing filters & belts on rooftop units, should be a nice day for it.

As for the daily events, finish the raised boat garden, pick veggies, clean out the burn barrel and stock pile the ash, and anything else garden related.

 I worked a full day last Friday, so today is a Holiday  Will make a trip to a buddies place to see about getting my Magna Trac dozer out of the swamp I had to leave it in over the winter.
 Then change oil in the GMC and back to my regularly scheduled airgunning

Bill, sounds like you're doing smart "research" with the molds.  Good luck finding the right stuff, and share your results

I spent yesterday working on my Husqvarna riding mower- it's an oddball 3-blade 42" with an overbuilt deck.  I'm likely going to do some "custom fabrication work" on it soon and add a phone holder and a couple drink holders.  I sharpened the blades yesterday (medium-lift MaxPower)- got them well balanced and the mower runs good and cuts superb.  I still ordered another set of blades; I already have a spare belt.  Sonja's put most of the ~400 hours on the free-to-us mower, it had 1146 hours and sat for nearly a decade, now it has 1540 hours.  I need to replace the front tires eventually- they leak down over the course of a couple days, but it serves a purpose for now.

The pollen is in full swing right now; Sonja's sinuses are fighting a losing battle, but she said she still wants to get some time outside to shoot some arrows, and we're thinking about some disc golf at one of the local courses.  She's a trooper!

For now, I'm working my day job; I need to do some pressure washing so maybe during lunch.

Peter, there is an herb on the market that is a natural antihistamine and it won't make you drowsy either, it's call Eyebright(Euphrasia officinalis).

Not sure if it's smart or just being lucky that some molds were made available to try out. As for the .25, I was also lucky that samples were sent to help me decide what worked best in my 3 .25 guns. Then I got lucky again when just the right mold was offered. Once the .22 casting options are sorted I'm going to see about another .25. With the 3 sets of puns with the mold I have I can do 27gr, 28gr and 29gr. I would like to have a 24gr option as well. My Sentry likes the 24gr and my Avenger likes the heavier stuff. The Hatsan vortex break barrel likes the lighter stuff as well.
I also plan to revamp my pellet trap/target setup. The recent rain showed me that I set it smack dab in a low spot that fill with water. I'mm need to move it in 5 yards cutting my range to 30 yds. I'm good with that.. 30yds will make the shooting games that Betty Lou and I play easier and more enjoyable.

Mornin Y'all!   Today starts another two week vacation.  Over the years I've accrued thousands of hours of leave time which I never got to use.  I've decided to take two weeks off every other month until I retire.  I don't have to retire for another 13 years but I will still never run through all the leave!

Anyhoo. . . . .  Startin the day right!  Doing a little "Prescribed Burn" here at the shack!

Now that I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago I'm gonna just kick back and watch the clouds go sailing. . . . . . . .
