I did think about closing the door and locking it but I learned a long time ago. If you lock your kids in the closet be sure to remove the clothes hanger pole... they do pull ups and come out pi$$ed..

You got off easier than I did Bill.  I got the memsahib a 8'X16' green house for Christmas.  She can start a lot of seeds in that space.  I mean a LOT!  Then I had to build her 8 raised mounded beds.  Now that's up to 12.  Plus thirty pots with tomatoes.  First she wanted three yards of mushroom compost now we're up to nine yards.  I always hoped my wife would enjoy gardening with me.  Turns out she enjoys it more than I do!

My plans to slack off at work were thwarted when one of the other guys called in sick.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I got up just before 0430. I’ve been just hanging out in the garage having coffee. We’re going to take a ride up north a bit to take Ayrabella to Build-a-Bear, then Cabella’s and Jersey Mike’s for lunch. Not sure what else we might do, but should be a fun day.

Dawg "Zoey" didn't realize it was Good Friday and thought I over slept for work... barked me awake at the regular work-day 05:30.
On Saturday / Sundays we can slumber until 6:00 or later...
How that Dawg knows week-days from week-ends is beyond me.

Still woke up at 4:30 a.m. though 

Took care of my Visa and Master cards as soon as I woke up.

My cards have been up to date since the middle of 2019, but I was always maxed out from 2017 to 2019 (came to the US in 2016).

Mornin Y'all.  It might be evident from some of my recent posts that I'm feeling somewhat less than mentally stable right now.

Well "the cray cray" is pretty bad today.  Had the twitch so bad last night I had to get up and sit in my arm chair so Becca could sleep.

Having flashbacks and paranoid hysterics.  It's like the DT's on speed.

Fortunately there is modern medicine.  I've got a whole pharmacy in the medicine cabinet. 

Technically I'm taking a mental health day.  Actually I'm loading up my 100+ year old farm wagon on the flatbed today and hauling it and all my interpretive material up to Sopchoppy for the annual Worm Grunting Festival tomorrow.

Nothing like a little worm grunting to soothe the tortured soul!

Never touch the stuff. One thing Dad instilled in us from a very early age... if you can't pay for it, you don't need it... Credit card interest is a form of prison from which there is no escape. Any money I spend is money that I've earned or saved other than a couple loans for vehicles.

Garden chores done and some of the veggies are in the pot cooking. Work on getting the lawn toys up and running, one needs a new pto cable, another a carburetor replaced, and last the rider's tire all need to be aired up and battery charged. Later hook up the bush hog and take on the bigger stuff. Hoping fire to up the lead pot and cast some slugs if the weather permits it. I am starting to wonder what is worse-working at a real job and or being retired and working like I have a real job. It's all good, still getting adjusted to the new life and it way better than the previous one for sure.

I am starting to wonder what is worse-working at a real job and or being retired and working like I have a real job. It's all good, still getting adjusted to the new life and it way better than the previous one for sure. 

When I read about all the work you do around your place I wonder that same thing.  I like to work but not nearly as much as you do.  I'd be wore out by now....   In fact, I'm wore out just reading it 😆

I now sparingly use both and have ignored speeches from both institutions to increase my credit limit

When I read about all the work you do around your place I wonder that same thing.  I like to work but not nearly as much as you do.  I'd be wore out by now....   In fact, I'm wore out just reading it 😆

Thanks Brett, still working on not going wide open, it is something that I have always done while working because I never knew when I would get home and then spend those few precious days off recovering or getting stuff done before the next all h3ll break loose event on the job happens. A lot of the clean up is stuff from the hurricane and the brush has over taken a bunch of it. I really don't mind it, I know it will take some time to get adjusted to the new life. I don't like sitting around unless it's wood working, doing graphic work on the computer, shooting airguns, casting ammo or lures, or hunting and fishing. Just to sit and stare at a TV all day that ain't happening. I do have days when the arthritis acting up that I have to lay down for a little bit to quit hurting but can go back at it the rest of the day without any other problems.
