I have several 2' x 3' x 2mm I strength steel automotive stamping blanks. I can shoot them point blank with any airgun I have and they won't even make a dent. I plan to angle them on a frame over water in front of the targets. The pellets will be angled downwards and trapped in the water. I've done this setup before and it works great. Pellets will be complete dried of moisture before smelting.
I also have my pellet trap for paper targets and plan to add another. I will then smelt all the recovered pellets into ingots before even getting close to the pot.

  Up at 4:00 as usual on Sunday, Sunday School then Ch**ch this morning as usual too.
But we found out late yesterday that we had to take my oldest daughter to the airport to fly back to Montana this afternoon and would not be home until at least 6:00 PM so, we didn't have Ch**ch tonight.

  On the way to the airport my daughter told me that one of her 12 year old twin girls recently caught a Hawk.     She just snuck up behind it and grabbed off the fence. 
  After my granddaughter let it go it hung around for a while before it flew away.

Woke up at 4:30 and fed the dogs then made coffee.
Nancy boy Rambo ate and went out just in time... before the rain came and the rolling thunder started booming. Now he's at Betty Lou's feet until it stops.  LOL... he's gonna have a long day.
Tracking says I got all my casting goodies coming today.. besides 20# of lead that will arrive tomorrow. But I have plenty to get me going.   
So that's my plan for the day.. learning how to cast pellets. I've read more how tos and watched more videos in the past week than I did the entire year of the 9th grade...

Went to HD after dropping the better half off at Dialysis.
Picked up 6 pounds of Duct Seal. a wide handle, and some Acorn Brown stain/sealer for my 14x14 Pellet Trap.
First coat applied.

Got to pick up better half from Dialysis in two hours and then Drive my bus around town for 5 hours after a weeks vacation.

  I am open to suggestions for a nickname. 

  If the pictures didn't exist of her with it I wouldn't have believed it, LOL.
  The most amazing part to me is after she had it, it didn't bite or scratch and seemed content to be held and sweet talked, I really wonder if it had not been in captivity before? I would think a wild hawk would have gone into fight or flight mode. It hung around their house until she put it on the roof and told it to fly away.

 It reminded me of when my son was in grade school, we walked out of the house to go somewhere and in our driveway the was a Crow and he said "that's the bird from my school" and proceeded to walk over and pet it.   His son picked up a ground squirrel when he was a kid, but it did bite him after a minute, and escaped.

  I have never tried to pick up wild animals, so what do I know...  I have snuck up very close to some wild animals before so I understand being stealthy. I use to get accused of sneaking up on co-workers all the time without trying.

Oh, I was up at 5:10 AM this morning. I don't have any real plans for today since the visiting family all went back to Montana and Idaho now. It is supposed to be cooler today, but then warm up this week.

Workin' in the garden this morning before the weather turns nasty. Cook up some greens to go with the corned beef. Wreak havoc on the fire ants that are looking for high ground and decided to move in with me. I go through this every spring. Since I am retired now I can torment them on a daily basis.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Got up at 05-something and had coffee. Had a service meeting with the new boss and a couple other technicians. I’m at work now with a freezer that froze up… now it’s hot in the box. I’ll figure it out & thaw it out and hopefully head home from here. I only need to work today & tomorrow, I’m taking a 5 day weekend after tomorrow.

Renting a sod cutter and cutting some sod making ready for more garden area.  The sod will be moved to the bare spot where we had two large trees removed last December.

Crazy how fast they come back after you kill a bed sometimes. I killed one bed then the next day disturbed it testing for ants and saw none. Two days later it is almost 2ft wide and 8" high again! If I could breed a female that fast I'd never leave the house.

Up at 4:00 after a restless night, I went in the spare room so I wouldn't keep Betty Lou up.
Pretty sure I know why... I went off the diet last evening and had a Coke float. That's the first real sugar I've had in months and I DO NOT drink soda.
So I've had my shower and now having a cup off coffee. After the news and weather I'll head out to the Red Shed and prepare for a day of pellet casting.
USPS is scheduled to deliver 20# of lead ingots today. That will go with the nearly 20# I have here that I smelted into muffins.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 04-something, it’s like Friday for me. I have a 2 hour ride to work and want to get going as soon as my next coffee is down. I have a freezer that’s frozen and leaking water. I want to get this work day done as soon as possible, too.

Mornin Y'all.  The memsahib says she doesn't need me in the garden today so I believe I will try and go fishing.  Grubs and worms I have in abundance but I want some crickets for Bream so I'm headed for Crum's Mini Mall (The commercial heart of Panacea Florida) to secure myself some bait.  If Momma wants to go we will take the pontoon boat and fish some sloughs along the Sopchoppy.  If she doesn't I'll take a canoe and go fish some little gator ponds I know of.  If I do I'll have the Shockwave along.  Loaded with Crow Magnums it makes a nice water moccasin exterminator.

It is a general workday.  Purportedly, my employer is moving the team I'm part of from one department to another (the move actually makes good sense).  Sonja just left for work and I'm finishing breakfast.

Before she left, we talked about some upcoming vacation time, as well as making more time for airgunning.  We just haven't had enough time lately for hurling lead.

Morning..
Been up for an hour now... I enjoy early mornings this time of the year. I can take the laptop, a 20oz. yeti of coffee and the vape out on the front deck and enjoy the sounds that Ma Nature provides. I can hear and see my World waking up and coming to life for the day. I can ponder the upcoming day and the plan, or lack of the plan for the day.
The absolute best part is the lack of an agenda. Nobody is in control of what I do for the rest of the day but me. No demands and no consequences. I am not responsible for the actions, or lack of, by others. No deadlines or time clocks. No stress at all.
The only requirement is that I take the time to be grateful.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! I’m off work the rest of the week, but I got up just before 0430. I’ve had a cup of coffee and I’m having one more before I get moving. I have my 0600 meeting with the guys from Ch**ch. It was thunderstorming and I heard hail when I got up, but it passed. It’s 72* right now, but the temperature is supposed to drop about 20* the next few hours. Ayrabella has school today & tomorrow, so it’ll just be my wife & me here at home. The mowing is done, so I plan on loading the trailer for the scrap yard and getting some shooting in. There is a tornado watch until noon or so.

I just slipped out to the Red Shed and fired up the LEE lead pot so it will melt the 1 1/2" of lead left in it from yesterday. So I guess I have a plan after all. I want to get my .25 cast inventory built up. I have some .22 molds incoming and I'll want to start casting some of those when they arrive.
