Mornin y’all.  Up at 4:20 a.m. this morning.  Even the dogs won’t get up that early.  The new miracle drugs are great but they ain’t perfect.  I did sleep for about four hours though.  Oh well, up and at em’!
I’m working the late patrol shift today and I’ve got a partner so I can take it easy! ( yeah right).

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! Apparently, I’m stuck on Standard Time… it’s been taking me an hour or more to fall asleep. I slept in until 0630. It’s OK, I don’t have a job on me for today. I have a doctor’s appointment at 1300 and we have some rain coming in. Temperatures are supposed to drop with it, too. No other plans for today, yet… wife’s still sleeping.

Oh geez... KK (Killer's sister) just took him a tablet to the nursing home and hooked him up to Facebook. If you knew Killer you would understand why that is so crazy... Killer has never even had internet. He has a flip phone.
I called him a while ago to see if he needed anything and Betty Lou became "friends" with him on Facebook. She can send him pics of Boss and whatnot. He said all he knows how to do is give a thumbs up and smiley face.
I hope she didn't pay alot for that tablet because I can see it flying out the window in the next day or 2.

Plans for the day, do absolutely nothing, no running around, no bills to deal with, no yard work, ya'll get the picture. What I am doing is fixing a very special planter that got damage by the hurricane, it had survived the divorce( it was to heavy for stupid to throw at me) and the move to the panhandle to save my job. It was in several pieces, so I carefully super glued it back together where I could reinforce the walls and bottom. It's working so far, it has been covered it cement adhesive and a fine layer of cement to fill in the cracks on the outside, later when all dries, the inside will have a quarter inch layer of cement to thicken the wall and bottom. The planter has an iguana coming out of the side of it. I will tell you how old it is, I bought it at Scotty's Hardware in Ocala, FL in the late 1980's. I have never been able to find another one like it anywhere. I still keep looking in the hopes of finding another one similar to it. It''s new home will  be out in the fish cleaning porch where it can't get clobbered again.

This is a smaller version of it. The one I have holds about 5 gal. of dirt in it.

Thought about it but the Maverick was right by the door loaded and ready and the snake was at the other end of the property. Betty Lou and the dogs had already took the time to come get me so I grabbed the closest thing and went. I don't know how many times I have asked her to take a gun with her on her walks.... I think she finally got the message this time.

Good boy Rambo! Get a sling on the 12ga if you don't already have one so she can shoulder the weight of it if she doesn't want to carry a hand gun. A spring loaded recoil suppressing stock she'd love I know and you can get them for under $100. I can shoot slugs all day now without pain where I could only shoot a few before until bruising.

I have a .22 pistol loaded up with rat shot that she is supposed to be taking with her. It's done the job nicely on a few rattlers here.

Well, I didn't do much today. The weather was overcast and damp and I saw tomorrow's forecast was much nicer so I decided to wait. I did go buy a new security cam to install tomorrow^? too.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I woke up about an hour ago, 0400. Turned the coffee maker on and thought about going back to sleep, but got up and took Chillie out. I have a 3 hour ride to change out a compressor in a small 2 door cooler. The job is fairly easy, but that makes for a 6+ hour drive round trip. I’m finishing up my second cup o’Joe and I’m going to rollout.

Today's another work day... M-F grind isn't that bad nowadays compared to some I've had- even here at the same company (I worked in Support and spent ~30-45% of my time on the road).

I may sand some drywall, shape a sledgehammer handle, fletch up some arrows, or simply sit and spin up a computer game.  Dunno yet, but one thing for sure: it is Friday!

I managed to roll out of bed and make my way in and down to the quarry. Boy howdy do I feel terrible. Well it's a beautiful rainy day might as well get after it when we can get to the bench.

Same here Bill, light rain already this morning. I really don't need anymore rain. 4.7 inches the other day was enough which flooded the yard. It has taken 3 days for the puddles to dry up and the ground is still saturated. I have a few things I can do indoors until this passes.

Yep... no complaints here... the Red Shed was created for just such situations. Heck, I can even roll up the door and shoot raindrops.

We got some snow yesterday and last night. There is a 30% chance of snow today & 50% chance of snow tonight.

It is a cool one today but there is supposed to be a big warm up Saturday, Sunday and next week.

Wednesday it is supposed to get near +42F and maybe +45 F on Thursday. Hurray !

Driving boats today.  I'll go out in a pouring rain but not if there is lightening.   Should be pretty mellow today.  Now tomorrow its going to be a ZOO here!  Fortunately I'm off tomorrow.
