Good morning, I woke at 3:00, 4:15, 4:50, and 5:51 and got up at 5:51. I got dressed and went out and walked around and watched the sun come up. It is mostly clear with an overnight low of 30°F, so it was brisk out. all the snow melted up to maybe 2300 feet (my guess) on the foothills closest to us. On the ranges that have the highest elevations it still reaches a little lower.

  Today it is currently 33°F out at 7:12 AM, mostly clear but will cloud up and there is a 70% chance of rain after 4:00 PM. The forecast high is 51°F today and 47°F tomorrow.

Up early this morning to finish liberating the blueberries from the yaupon and smilax mess, prepare the citrus trees for spraying, one has citrus snow on it and can spread the other trees if I don't take care of it now. Clean up the shooting range, the last few things that I order for the Hercules will be here today. Get the crab traps legalized and ready for use. Clean up and fix anything else that needs to be addressed.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I slept in until around 0530, took care of the morning stuff and turned a 2 hour ride into a 3 hour ride to work. I’m finishing thawing a freezer, which was my last job on Friday. After I get it thawed, I’m pretty sure I can just start it up and it should be fine. I have another job waiting on me 40 minutes or so further away from home. Next week, the 2 guys that are working out of state should be back.

Can't figure out why my right hand is so swollen. Yesterday it was just my right pinky finger and now it's my whole hand.

It's arthritis Robert, I go through that a lot when I do repetitive things with my hands. I have days where I can't even see my knuckles and my fingers are very stiff. I have learned to live with that mess and adapt when needed. Just the joys of getting old.

Glad to hear you are better, the stiffness is the after affect of the swelling. I takes me a day or 2 to get flexible again. There is a product that a been around a long time and can be found at farm & feed stores. It's called bigel oil. Been using it since I was a kid, great for bug bites as well.

Got to start a counter top job today, I hope to have it built and installed by Saturday. The job is way up near O'Hare airport, I hate going way up there but I'm getting paid well.

Went out around 0730 this morning to pump the little 125 gallon water tank that I filled yesterday so I could get back up the road. Dang it's cold when your gloves get wet from disconnecting hoses from the pump and the tank. Wind chill is 21f right now and with wet hands.... That extra 1000lbs sure helped my truck get traction.

Yard work before it gets hot, migrate to the shop later to work on some woodworking stuff, work on the Hercules a little bit. Clean up some fishing gear. Nothing special, just piddling around.

Same here, rain today and rain tomorrow. Thursday and Friday are supposed to be sunny and I am looking forward to it. We have gotten some rain everyday the last 10 days or nights, I know that is nothing for some areas but it is a big deal here to not have a dry 24 hour period in 10 days. It has been nice, slow and even with no flash flooding which is great.

I will put some finish on this old 160 stock. I sanded off the horrid varnish someone gobbed on it.

I think the pale skin looks great compared to the original jaundiced one.

My thoughts exactly. So I went just with oil. Two coats so far.

Three coats of oil and done. Waiting on a trigger guard.

My internal alarm clock went off at 0530... just like a workday. Me and the dog made coffee, went "out", then contemplated "What's your plans for today?"
 I know I need to replace the shelves on the Lazy Susan since they were delivered Thursday evening. Some Grand-kid thought they were "Hide-away stairs" to get up on the kitchen counter and broke both of them.
  Other than that I think I am free for the day to putz around the garage / shop.
 I been gathering materials to rebuild the backyard shooting back-stop but we got a couple inches of snow last night so I may hold off.

Perfect time to smoke is early in the morning with coffee 

I very seldom drink coffee ‘cuz it triples my urge to smoke

I chipped up & removed all the ice from the Freezing Rain Storm Sunday night and Monday morning.
I did my backyard steps and patio then my driveway and front yard steps and walkway.
That was a big tiring job but it had to get done.
I needed to get things ready for the Snow Storm tonight and tomorrow morning.
It is really hard to balance on ice & blow snow at the same time, even with ice spikes on my winter boots.
So far we have had around 75 inches of snow this winter.
If we get the minimum predicted it will make for 80 inches and a possibility of 87 inches.

Mornin Y'all.  Three day weekend!  Got to finish getting the garden in the ground.  Gonna run to town with the memsahib.  She wants to go to Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply.  Dang I love that woman!

I have to go to the optician and get new driving/reading glasses.   My eye doctor is also a shooter and he gave me a second prescription just for shooting glasses.
